But saw two posts against facemasks. If facemask is useless so why it is compulsory in England. Now you can see the importance of the facemask.

Facemasks protect us not fully but I think they protect 70%.

There are two types of people who are lumped into the anti vaxxer group of people.

One group of people are ACTUALLY crazy people, and they think that vaccines are being given to people to inject them with some sort of government control device or that vaccines cause autism, or track you, or some other bullshit conspiracy theory.

Then there are people that actually may have a side effect (or their child that they handle medical decisions for) that outwighs the benefit of getting the vaccine. I've read some stories of some people that have HORRID side effects from very simple vaccines (Flu an an example) -- Where for these people it makes sense for them to not take the vaccine as they'd literally have a horrid side effect.

Just something I wanted to write about for the anti vaxxer group of people.

This however brings a compromise as it doesn't protect by filtering the air you breath in and can only be effective when combined with an efficient face mask or social distancing. Some of them are also constructed poorly and do not give full covering.

People have been and will continue to lose faith in the government. At a certain point that faith will come back and then slowly deteroiate again. There's never going to be this perfect government that everyone loves. It's just something that the past generation thought they had, people remember things as much better then they truly were.

Yeah not completely airborne, though it can still linger in the air for a few hours (but the chance of you getting COVID) from the air is low (relative to getting it from droplets on surfaces)

But yeah I truly do think that people are stupid and they're going to end up not wearing masks, just wearing face shield, or things along those lines.

Facemask offers virtually a two way protection as it protects you from the next neighbor and your neighbor from you when worn correctly.
It is very difficult for we humans to be totally submissive to laws or rules especially those that are questionable. As in this case, we always feel our pals are free of these pandemic and as such, we see no point in protecting ourselves yet, you never can tell where this pal has been and since the disease isn't directly visible it becomes a problem.
Hence, the idea of facemask isn't out of place if worn correctly.

I wear a face mask when I am walking round the supermarket because that is the law - however stupid it may be. It has made me aware of the damaging effects they have though. I can feel my breath being directed up to my eyes, and eyes are one of the organs that the virus uses to enter a different part of the body. Do wearing a face mask will help the virus to spread to different parts of the body, instead of being ejected as a part of the primary defence mechanism. I'm fortunate in that I haven't been vaccinated for well over 50 years, so I have been able to build a strong natural immune system. This means that the virus itself is of no consequence to me, but the economic and social restrictions are giving me a number of problems.

For example, long long ago I rejected the N95 as totally inadequate, and went to better systems. Now COVID comes along and I see people with junk like bandanas around their face. This is more "mask theater" than any realistic effort to combat the virus. There is no way around this conclusion.

You know what I've never really looked into the science of mask wearing (N95) or whatever people are wearing to try to cover their face (Bandana, Shirt, Etc) and I'm not even sure how many particles are blocked by using all of these different types of face coverings.

Not true. No face mask will cause hypoxia. Facial sores is totally possible, but that can be treated through a usage of better quality masks and through some easy at home treatments. I'd much rather have a facial sore for a bit rather then spreading COVID around my family.

On April 30, the team used capital letters on its website to emphasize the  fact-check: “NO KIND OF FACE MASK WILL CAUSE  HYPOXIA.” And added: “Although it is true that face masks can generate unpleasant sensations, don’t worry, it is normal. Using face masks will not cause any kind of oxygen deficiency. when customer go into a shop they go in for 10minutes-1hour depending on what they are doing..

hypoxia is a thing. you can get it when you hypoventilate, strenuous exercise or have face covered or at altitudes or inhaling gas... its the time when you faint, get blue fingers/toes, organ degridation

but not really a thing for people wearing a mask for just 10minutes-1hour while shopping
this is why retail store customers have to temporarily wear mask. to protect the retail staff. so that the staff dont have to wear them for 9 hour work shift. with only a break every 2-4 hours

if workers got a 5 minute break every 30 minutes or a better break every hour. then yea it would be more ok to have retail staff wear masks too. but because many retailers only give staff a break every 2 hours or 4 hours. then its not good practice to have staff wear masks

so this is why UK advice is for people to wear masks (public announcement 'so you protect others')

this is where the issue about schools comes into play. teachers cant wear masks for the whole day. and would need to take them off inbetween classes of 1 hour in secondary school.
but primary schools dont have regimented 1 hourly classes where students leave the room to give teachers that oppertunity. so schools are a big talking issue about teacher safety

On what basis are you making such a statement? There are quite a few types of masks, which of them protect 70%? How did you check or who checked the 70%? In my opinion, this is almost impossible.

It is very difficult to assess the effectiveness of the protection of masks, too many other factors can affect the infection of a person. It would be more correct to say that we do not know how much the masks protect us.
Moreover, the main infection is probably through the eyes.

I had this discussion with friends. We bought masks with teeth or skulls painted on them for fun and were once walking around a shopping center and some people were acting pretty weird around us, like they didn't know what to expect. In a normal situation, if you were approached by people in creepy masks, you'd be scared and expecting some aggressive language, but in these strange times, where we have to wear masks, people are starting to ignore them. So, last year if you came into a jewelry store with a mask on you'd see everybody tense up and demand you to take it off, now, nobody seems to care.
Another interesting thing that I've noticed is people are really staring into my eyes because they can't see any other expressions. They don't know if I'm smiling or frowning so they watch the eyes more carefully to know what to expect. Masks can have their benefits if you aren't too tense and able to have some fun in every situation.
