I agree with you. Defi projects are bringing ETH value back and this will definitely be a very promising investment for everyone. I am also investing in this coin and I am very happy to have doubled profits from ETH after only a few months of waiting. According to my prediction, ETH price will soon reach $500 and will slowly return to the old ATH if the Defi projects are more interested by investors.

We are now having a green market and some altcoins just showing some love to its holders especially Ethereum is really doing good this week. if ETH released their upgrade more earlier and not delaying we might have had a more massive bullish than it currently is but I guess there's so many problems need to be sorted out on their side and thus the delay. Even at the current levels, Ethereum is almost 80% below the ATH which was reached in 2017-18. And more worryingly, the current spike is not supported by any development or adoption milestone. It seems to result from pure speculation. Now I am not saying that ETH is over-priced and it doesn't deserve the spike. But if you want to invest at this point, then you need to be extra-cautious.

I am kinda surprised myself, just the other day ETH is hovering around $230+, and right after I read the challenger of ETH team on hacking the ETH 2.0, the price gone up day by day.  I think this price increased is the result of the hype produced by that announcement.

I don't think it is a DEFI thing,  ETH is hovering around 200+ for so long even though DEFI is already around.  I still think it is the hype of the  ETH 2.0 hack challenge.

$ 300 is a small value if you look at the ATH they have already achieved. of course, ETH will be easy to achieve if growth is still gradual. but it will be different if bitcoin stops continuing the current uptrend. it will have an impact on the value of ethereum in the market.

Indeed there are several factors that have increased pumping to ETH with PoS and 2.0 which are highly awaited but it has not been released in the near future but the development of ETH in current prices is quite good but this is indeed a bull run so that this increase is quite high.
