Hi,

I am trying to send Bitcoin from my Electrum wallet 4.0.2 to Coinbase however it is reflecting as unconfirmed for the last 2 days.

Just noticed this below.

"The Transaction is only available on your local machine. The currently connected server does not know about it.You can either Broadcast it now or simply remove it."

Can you please advise what I need to do to get it sent?

Many thanks

If you want to send it, right click the transaction, go to Details and click Broadcast.
If you want to "cancel it" (not send) just delete it.

Basically, you never sent the transaction. You just crafted it.

You're probably better off removing it and sending a new transaction to coinbase if you can afford the higher fee. It looks like 60 sats per byte would still take about 5 hours.

Your transaction is probably still in the mempool of miners otherwise if you want to wait on it (but as suggested you could rebroadcast).

It's a local transaction (not broadcasted). Read the OP, please. Sad

This kind of problem normally occurs when the network is busy, try increasing the fee or target it to within 5 blocks so your transaction will confirm faster. Fee could be depending on the amount you send, but sure at this moment, you need to pay over $1 for every transaction if you don't want it to get stuck.

Nope, it depends on the virtual size of the transaction, that's affected by how many inputs (a little bit from outputs) you're going to use, not the value.
If a wallet only has 1 input with $1000 value and want to send $1~999, then he wouldn't have to use $1 fee to send a priority transaction specially with SegWit.

This kind of problem normally occurs when the network is busy, try increasing the fee or target it to within 5 blocks so your transaction will confirm faster. -snip-
Nope II, it's a local transaction which wasn't broadcast to the network yet as already pointed by others.. twice.

As the error message says the server does not know about it. It simply means the transaction is not in the mempool of the server you are connected to and neither has it been incorporated in the blockchain. You may or may not have broadcast it. It's possible for a transaction to be broadcast but not reach every node in the network. It's also possible that the server you are connected to knew about the transaction but ejected it from its mempool because it learned of higher paying transactions.

I wanted to add that @jackg did have a good point when he said it might be better to delete the tx and create a new one without ever broadcasting the old one (he did miss the part that the "old" transaction was never broadcasted at all, but this doesn't change the first part of the post is still valid). I'd take this route because you created the transaction 2 days ago, the recommanded fee will have changed in these 2 days, so if you broadcast this local transaction, you'll probably either overpay or underpay (neither is ideal). The odds the average feerate 2 days ago was more or less equal to the one right now is rather small.

Hi Folks,

Forgive my ignorance but would you recommend cancelling the transaction and resending ?

When I log into Coinbase my BTC is still showing as pending .

Or should I increase the fee on the current transaction?I had it at 1 Sat for 0.0672505 BTC.

Thanks

You can't cancel your transaction. Right-click on it in Electrum and select "Bump fee". You will be able to adjust the fee. The extra amount will be deducted from one of your outputs or a new input will be added (if available).

~snip~

Why did you set it 1sat/byte? Even the network is too congested?

Anyway, if your transaction is RBF enabled you can follow BitCryptex's guide but if not the only way to increase the transaction fee is to make a double-spend transaction. Since you are using Electrum you can easily make a new transaction offline with the same input.

You can follow the guide from this link below and make sure to increase the transaction fee. The recommended fee is 216 satoshis/byte according to BitcoinFees.earn.com

Why did I set it 1sat/byte? Dont ask  Embarrassed

So I increased the fee however I have just noticed this on blockchain.

Transaction invalid: some outputs that it attempts to spend have been already spent or are no longer valid.

Are you trying to look up the same transaction id as before? By increasing the fee, you basically signed a new transaction which has a different id. The original transaction was replaced.
