I want to ask about today's Cardano update. today cardano will do a big update (hardfork) but what will happen after that. changes like what they will do.

I see this hardfork makes people FOMO, the last few days I saw the price of Cardano (ADA) rose more than 20%. So what makes them want to hold Cardano?. whether this major update will be very beneficial for those who hold cardano?

Maybe this is a benifit for ADA holder: "Shelley will also see the introduction of a delegation and incentives scheme, a reward system to drive stake pools and community adoption".
Anyway, for traders when a coin / token do hardfork, FOMO will appear and be profitable for trading.

As you said that the price already increase more than 20% this means holders  already benefited with this event with price gain.


No idea if that fork will help in longterm on that project but having that profit is enough to leave now and take your profit and find other opportunities that you can also gain profit in other Altcoins.

Basically, when ADA do hardfork, their platform will be changed to POS and investors who hold ADA will be pay profit when they get their ADA into POS system and this thing is a main reason that lead the price of ADA was pushed over

These are rather upgrades because hardfork often yields a new coin altogether but this does not seem to be the case with cardano at the moment but do correct me if i am wrong or there is something else i have not understood.

If you are in ADA for the long run then this hard fork could be beneficial if you hold but, if you are in for short-run then I think the price might dump a bit once they officially complete the hardfork because of "sell the news" sentiment in crypto.

It's a hard fork to improve the existing network but not resulted in a new coin. Cardano has initiated an upgrade called "Shelly" I think its timely implemented because it can attract some interest or even attention from the Eth investors, and the number one reason is due to the delayed Ethereum 2.0 upgrade, But it's just only a pick and I'm not sure about it. But one thing is for sure if the upgrade was successfully implemented I think it can bring more development to Cardano ecosystem, particularly on ADA's market trading price. but that was only my opinion and I'm not an expert about it.

i personally expect an increase in price of cardano, FOMO is a factor contributing to the expected surge in price but not only, the announcements in projects always sees a positive impact in the price of the coin and cardano is not different as it is not a new project that is yet to stand the test of time. The hardfork will in no doubt drive price more bullish.

Well, if so the price of the ADA will continue to rise in the future. This is the first time I see ADA having such a big update, hopefully they can continue to grow and stand firm in this market.

It will be a make it or break it for ADA. If they maintain a solid working and reliable network after the hard fork they could gain momentum, even though even if they would love to, they won´t surpass Ethereum soon, maybe never. The ETH2.0 crew must deliver a really effed up testnet to postpone the final chain to make ADA be the Nr.1. Anyway, Brad Garlinghouse is a wacko so it´s worth observing and investing

When I heard hardfork I thought a new coin was created but now with uour explanation I understand the process of the hard fork, I tjink with a more stronger network this will enhance the staking program, cardano has always been a good project so I have no doubt they will deliver and make it successful.

Cardano is just warming up to lead the bull market alongwith ethereum. I like both cardano and ethereum because of the massive updates and improvements coming this year with more partnerships, developments and products both these coins will surprise the community with serious increase in demand and value.

If that's an upcoming event for Cardano then it makes sense why it has pumped too.

Within just a month, it has doubled in price so these events are actually helping these coins to move up. It also became a high ranking coin and became the number 7 in the top 10 of cryptocurrency rankings. That's an achievement!

so after hard fork now ADA having a POS consensus. perhaps this is the biggest reason why yesterday the price went up. but now I see prices have stopped rising and have been stable all day.
