What is your plan when Bitcoin will reach a new ATH?

Interesting to read that everyone has his own strategy  .
Personally, I have put some sell limit orders in place (at 15 000$ and 20 000$). If both sell orders would be executed, I still have 25% of BTC which I would keep holding until we see 50 000$ or 100 000$.
Taking profit is never a bad thing.

I'm a trend follower after all so I will buy and hold if there is now clear uptrend. Right now the current trend which is sideways are now transitioning in to uptrend and it is a good sign for me. My entry point will be in another breakout. When I do trend following, I usually do trailing stops so I do not have any target profit. In terms of momentum, the expensive price can become more expensive so holding while the uptrend is still intact is good strategy. If the price reached its current ATH, there will be another rally for sure because the major resistance is finally broken.

In my opinion, it depends on your base selling price of bitcoin. Because we don't know yet at what price of bitcoin could reached a new Ath. So for me my plan I wouldn't sell all, half of of my asset is to sell and the remaining is to hold. We have different strike nor strategy when it comes to our assets in crypto whether to accumulate or buy low and sell high. It is a matter of balancing your portfolio that will benefit you or take profit after all.

When Bitcoin will reach a new ATH, i will hold my position, of course. Because if we see a breakout of the high and consolidation above, it speaks of the strength of the bulls. Accordingly, bitcoin will have a chance to go to new unknown heights. Now a clear example of the fact, that we are bullish and we can see new highs in the medium term.

I have no shedule plan actually i always think present market. Besides bounty hunting i made trade, investment and another many tasks in forum. So i think when BTC will reach a new ATH my profit also be more and more and holding a token is no more. I always believe in trading that gives me new experience with profit though there high risk. But i am useful to take challenge so that will do normal work that i am doing.

sIn the first place, no one here knows when that happens actually. Just all we know that most of the long term holders are waiting for the right time to sell their holdings. But for me, it is much better to apply day trading rather than doing hold Bitcoin, although Holding bitcoins is really good if you have a lot of bitcoin in your wallet.

I will still hold of my bitcoin, and if the price is at $15k range, I will sell some bitcoin to take my money back and wait for a while to the next low price. I will not sell all of my bitcoin if the price is not reach a new ATH because that will not make me make a big profit. Besides selling some bitcoin, I will also want to use some money to buy low and sell high to make more money because I think that bitcoin price will be too volatile in these situations, and that can be my chance to make a profit.

I will not commit the same mistake I did in the past so it will really happen again, I might just take the necessary steps to avoid a loss for more than 70%. The investment I did for projects that still provide income through dividends will stay unless there is a reason to panic.

Not 100% will be kept in my holdings. The plan to buy more for it is going to be carefully planned.

For an investors they will choose to sell their big part of their portfolio and wait for the cheaper price to buy them again, for me as well it choose better because I am not holding 100% of my coins, I will sell and buy from time to time.

For an investors they will choose to sell their big part of their portfolio and wait for the cheaper price to buy them again, for me as well it choose better because I am not holding 100% of my coins, I will sell and buy from time to time.

It's always better to grab your profits at the right time and reinvest back once some collapse happened
and wait again.
Most of the traders and investors have that mentalities since the market is expected to be volatile
so when you got the chance to sell on top
The first thing is to take and grab the fruit of your investment.

I can't really tell when to sell but I have a target price to sell this time, I said to myself that when bitcoin reaches $12K I'll sell the half of it and hold the remaining, I just want to taste my old bitcoins. I already learned my lesson from the last appearance of the high prices, thought it was climbing for more price level and I end up digging my own hole for it. My plan? Not that luxurious, just wanna secure a month long grocery for my family coz we are still in a lockdown grrrr

number 2 is what I will do...
often when Bitcoin touches ATH then the price drops because the market is saturated, I will sell my Bitcoin when it touches ATH to be bought back when the price drops.

number 2 is what I will do...
often when Bitcoin touches ATH then the price drops because the market is saturated, I will sell my Bitcoin when it touches ATH to be bought back when the price drops.

I guess that is what most holders do or even those investors that the most anticipated event is having a new ATH.

It will goes the same at me, I will quickly cut out my profit once I know if there is. And hold it until the price will suddenly drop and back accumulating again. That is how you will make profit in crypto when there is ATH but the problem is we don't know the perfect timing and when our patient will end.

For now, we're looking forward of upcoming ATH and hopefully, there is.

greater profits and will also get profits repeatedly. This is how I trade and become trading as a source of income. Because

It may increase or not I don't care. I would really sell most of them so I would get some profits to reinvest again when the price drops, well some of them I might trade to other good altcoins I can get at that price. I think others would do the same.

Then I will wait for another dip to buy back. Its better to become wise to have no regrets later on, we know the market is unpredictable and we cant tell how long the market will stay bullish.

The question is what and when is the ATH for bitcoin?

We can not really define the ATH value of bitcoin because it is ultimately undefined unless and until you have some standard reference.

What i mean is, there is no limit for the money that can be spent on the BTC thus, there is no limit for it's market capping. In such scenario the value could keep rising all the time.

In addition to this limited supply of the BTC and it's ever growing popularity will bring more investments in the future and value will just keep rising.

May be it's all about how you keep holding until highest sell point, then re-buy the coins then repeat the whole scene.

It's all about booking your profits when the time is right!

I saw NEW crisscrossing your comment in the various paragraphs. Truth remains that no one knows what the NEW ATH will be, except you're talking of the ATH of 2017 of above $19,000. And by that you mean Bitcoin breaking its own record of that year and setting a fresh ATH. That means we are looking at something above $20k. Of course, when that will happen, no one knows ahead of time. We only speculate in this industry, nothing is that concrete  it can't be doubted.
Back to the OP, I think every businessman likes to take profit appropriately. That should be the general feeling here too.

Generally, I've always said that my plan for Bitcoin is bound to an objective that's either time-bound or price-bound. This means I have a set price I'd liquidate a majority of my BTC or a fixed time, whichever comes first.

Now, I don't see this new ATH reaching the price-bound target (it's not a ridiculous target and most high-end predictions surpass it), so I still see myself actively Bitcoining for at least 8 more years haha.

Be nice to be proven wrong about price-bound target. I'd liquidate the BTC, get myself and family fixed for a home to own each, some money to live comfortably and modestly, while doing the things I love to do (I actually still want to work!), leave the rest of my BTC to children to teach them to use it.

And continue trolling the forums for the rest of my natural life, for as long as it gives me joy.

I'm personally holding Bitcoin until it reaches at least $100,000.

It's either $100,000+ or nothing for me, I'm not selling in-between unless there is some serious bad news that will allow me to short sell BTC.

I'm in it for the long haul.

Once it reaches $100k, I'll take around half out and let the rest ride, as I'm sure it could reach $1m+ at that point.
