There are no advantages of doing this, it will just limit the profit of the operators and gamblers will not like limitation imagine waiting for your turn to play slot so instead of playing he'll just transfer to other gambling sites with slots I don't think this will ever be implemented, some offline  features cannot materialize online.

See I would tell you something , if you expect these companies to directly copy from the casinos and at the same time not add any new element , make it more interesting , they won't be much of a competition for the other companies .

What you said might work but I do think they are just making the games more interesting and therefore adding variety also attract some games and people of all kinds of preferences.

That could be a nice idea for the player but for the casino this is a problem, the level of complexity when managing their slot machines will grow exponentially and their profits will not increase at all, this also reduces their profits because if each machine has their own progressing jackpot then there is a chance players will get lucky as there is no time for the house edge to make a dent on the capital of the players, so for the most part I think that what you are proposing will not happen.
