Has anyone dealt with ECKMAR ?

not sure where to post this but i had an agreement with him, sent him 0,031 of BTC and now he has disappeared and our telegram chat has all been deleted ?

lots of good reviews on his marketplace post, no escrow used (stupidity on my part i know) but since i cant get him on telegram maybe he may respond on here ?

Are you talking about this user : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=42189 ? If yes I don't think he would scam you by looking at his previous reviews, trust score and also his rank.

The bad twist here could be using telegram to deal with him as I have observed many impersonating telegram scam attempts on the scam accusation board while reading some replies and that is the best place for such complaints. It is also possible that the telegram user you were talking to was not the real ECKMAR you wanted to deal with.

Chances are, you paid to an ECKMAR impersonator. Where did you first learn about this guy?

Please post the telegram username that you talked to. Looking at the profile posted by infinitesimal, the telegram account should be @eckmar.

You can also send the link of your transaction as proof. Based on the profile again, the eckmar here uses 1ECKMARko7DFtJ2YVrBeAc9s23xdAMV4eT

Eckmar is active in this forum, last active on July 29, 2020... probably he will respond here around 3-5 days.

ive just checked and the guy ive sent funds too on telegram is ESKMAR, not ECKMAR, the names are the same when you type in ECKMAR

always try to use a trusted escrow instead of sending the bitcoins to the other person directly since bitcoin transactions are irreversible. it doesn't matter if it is the real person with a lot of trust or an impersonator scammer.

the simplest and best way is that you create a 2 of 3 multi-sig which each party (you, the receiver and the escrow) holding one of the keys. then you send bitcoin to that address and wait for the other party to fulfill their end of the deal (send the goods, send fiat, do a job, etc.) after it is done you and the other party each provide a signature and send the coins from that address to the receiver.
if one side pulls a scam (the other party doesn't hold up their end of the deal, or they do but you don't pay them) then one party goes to escrow and the escrow judges if they tell the truth and if they do they two sign the transaction and send the coin to the receiver or original sender depending on which side is right.

I am sorry for your loss and I hope it will not be a large amount. Next time ask the member to send you a message here, making sure that he signs that message from an address that was posted a long time ago.
Scammers use Telegram account names and ask users to send money to them.

If you can post his address publicly we might be able to find out if he has accounts here.

You have been scammed, when dealing with unknown users use escrow. Sorry for your loss though.

But this case is almost 3 years old and OP realized his mistake.
He ended up dealing and sending the money to an impersonator via telegram instead of the real Eckmar. I am not sure why this thread got bumped, and sure thing is OP is not coming back here based on his activity.

this guy moneromk bumped the thread to spam a script that someone is selling. looking at his post history through Loyce.club's archive posts, he was also spamming it throughout the forum and got himself banned because of it.
