It is easy to get merits, I joined to this fourm a few days before activating the merit system, and I did not have time to post, I came back again a month ago and managed to collect about 200 merits in less 30 days.

General tips:

- Find a topic that interests you.
- Search for the topic: using Google, YouTube, Bitcointalk, bitcoin.stackexchange.com
- Summarize it.
- Try explaining it and reformulating it as a topic.
- You will find that you have learned a lot about things you did not know.

Your posting ability is very organized based on your topics and also neat. Surely you got merit if your post would be given time and effort to prepare. But also some user here got merits by their good response and were able to answer some queries or question. Merit sources find it meritable when you can support and help those who are asking things they dont know.

Yup. As long as you are constantly educating and updating yourself on a day to day basis, merit will naturally pour into your account. Plus, establishing a habit of joining to a comprehensive and natural discussion can ease the burden of getting merit in the long run. For some people, receiving merit is quite easy but maintaining it is difficult.

You earned merits fast if you got 200 merits only around 30 days. Even if some members can do the same way as you, but it is a great achievement in my opinion. I hope it can motivate you to contribute more quality topics in this forum and also be one of the active members to help other members who need some help.

Regarding the general tips to make a topic above, I want to add some tips:
- Use the "search feature" to ensure your topic is unique, which means no the same topic here. Don't make duplicate topics.
- It's better to make a topic that you really master it. Don't create a topic only by considering if you are interested in that topic.
- Create a useful or informative topic, don't make a topic that is not really needed to discuss/read.

This proved that the merit system isn't a barrier to rank up, this might an inspiration thread to those newbies out there who wish to rank up.
It will start with patient, effort, and hard work, nothing impossible to rank up if you have these.

For some people, receiving merit is quite easy but maintaining it is difficult.

Actually can if the person posting habit wouldnt change and continue its consistency. Merits come and go, what is important is never to expect merit for a post.

It's better to make a topic that you really master it. Don't create a topic only by considering if you are interested in that topic.

This is frequently happening here. Some forgot to use this function and ending up his thread locked by moderators. This is one I gave prioritize to avoid redundancy and repetition of topics. One must remembered this step.

Ive created this Compilation of helpful Quizzes related to bitcointalk forum and I must say that majority of the listed here are from Husires well done bro!

It is easy to get merit in this forum if we have good experience in the field of encryption where we can choose topics of interest to members and other people. I also got 45 points of merit within about 15 days and I continue to publish good topics until I complete 100 merits to upgrade my account
