Ethereum can get very huge if ETH 2.0 is ready and working, but we know delays are usual - Devs like to say "soon".
Technically, it is very difficult to move Ethereum to a whole new chain.

When do you expect Ethereum 2.0?
and what do you expect what will happen if it's delayed again and again?

It is being constantly delayed since 2017. You can read more about it here:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/a-birthday-look-5-years-of-ethereum-network-updates-delays-and-changes

Personally  I think it is better to delay than to release wqith bugs. But constant delays are bad for their reputation also.

This is so true. A lot of people are expecting their upcoming event will pull the market to a bullish season and many people already hold ETH. However, I have heard that ETH 2.0 will not be launched until 2021. Constant delays really hurt their reputation. However, 2021 is not too far, investors still have the faith that ETH will really pump. The evidence is that ETH is gaining its value!

Well, I hope they can hold the deadline this time, would increase faith in the team again. Here a nice interview with Vitalik from yesterday talking about the 2.0 release and updates  https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/vitalik-buterin-reveals-ethereum-2-0s-disadvantages/

I think ETH 2.0 will only appear in 2021. I do not expect product development to be implemented this year because they do not need to launch in such an unstable time

I agree! There is nothing to be rush in launching ETH 2.0. I prefer launching late but have no errors. Being rush to do something is not always a good choice. I can see they're still doing it with the event. The proof is that a lot of people are buying ETH to hold and wait for the project. It proves that there is a strong belief in the potential of ETH 2.0.

I expect it to be launched prolly within the first eight months of 2021, but only the developers know the actual time eth 2.0 will be launched. The delays mean nothing imo, we can still see eth performing very well, with a good price and more investors. Ethereum holders want 2.0, to see how good ethereum will rise then, but the coin is still doing very good now, so for me, they wouldn't mind waiting a little longer.

Because the developers are 'decentralized' they provide diffrenr times when it finally be developed. It is a huge update, that will make Ethereum the most attractive altcoin in the market, so tíme doesn't matter in this case, right?  Cool

The date for the testnet is fixed which is Aug 4th, 2020. The team members are claiming that they will be able to release the mainnet in November but this is not 100% so it can be delayed even further depending upon the bugs found during testnet release. If delayed price could take a hit (not 100% sure).

Testnet released is already confirmed and the Ethereum 2.0 main release will be determined by the results of the testnet. I don't think there's anything wrong if there's a little delay, we have waited this long for the testnet and i think it's a good sign. We want a finished/working products which is secure and easily usable.

reportedly in August they were ready to launch Ethereum 2.0? or just testnet,
if Ethereum 2.0 will be launched in 2021, of course Ethereum will be hard to go up again

Does it really matter the exact date when ETH 2.0 will be launched? Let's allow the devs to take their time and deliver something dope. If the date keeps getting postponed however, it might result to dump. So much interest on the upcoming ETH 2.0 reason why ETH price keeps soaring high.

We've been waiting, and it's said to launch in August, but it isn't really about the timing but the product released,as long as it's without bug, we hope the Dev takes all the time needed to do something good, as the number one altcoin, hoping to see the best result at the end of the wait.

I think Vitalik said that the mainnet and the eth 2.0 initial functional platform will be ready by November so lets see how it rolls out although i agree that they should come up with a solid product and network which should be bug free because a huge community, billions in investments and thousands of dApps are running on ethereum so better delay it untill perfection is achieved buy i am confident in Eth as an enterprise and i am sure they are expert in their field and they know what they are doing so whatever the case maybe i am still bullish about Eth.

I think you should stay calm and wait again because I heard that Ethereum 2.0 will be launched at the end of this year, if anyone hears information this August then I think it is a trial phase so it is not certain to be launched this August.

If you are worried about possible big dump due to further delays then stay positive as i think there may be minor dip even if the upgrade delays because the trend has changed to bullish and technically eth is well placed to continue this trend so cheer up market will surprise us this time with massive moves upwards.

Why not chat in the official thread, there is more information

This question worries many people, but on the other hand, the launch of phase 0 will not bring significant changes, all operations will take place in the ETH 1.0 network. I am more concerned about the question when the ETH 2.0 network will start supporting smart contracts?
Follow the news, but I think it will come in 3-6 months.

Well, the final testnet is scheduled to go live later this month. I imagine this testnet will take far longer to finalize than all of the previous ones, since it's basically the prelude to the 2.0 update.

As far as I'm aware, there isn't a firm date for the ETH 2.0 to be released. Because of this, we can't really say whether it's going to be delayed or not.

I personally believe it will be at least Q1 2021 before we have a release that's stable enough to be used as a mainnet. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's in Q4 2020, or even later in 2021.

I do think that Ethereum will pump to the high heavens when it's released though (look what happened to Cardano with the Shelley mainnet launch), so I'll definitely be keeping track of it.

The last time i read about Ethereum Devs message concern the ETH2.0 update they said it will be ready next year before ETH2.0 will be ready but Vitalik doesn't want to be that extended due to community resquest and complain, I personally dont see any thing bad if it going to be delay again and whats important the most is for them to provide solid chain.

It is true we all are waiting for the release of the Ethereum 2.0 but as we are humans and not part of the team, we can't predict when it will happen hence everything lies on the developers. Also, in my own opinion, I don't think its delay will cause any major effect on the market, although the price might go down as anticipation of users will drop which is understandable but the effect won't be that much. In addition, considering how huge Ethereum blockchain is, I believe the developers are taking their time to ensure all is done according and appropriately without issues.
