when I ordered - I got 2 emails - the first when it was received - the second when it shipped - never said anything about funding or listing my serial numbers - mine were all over the place, non sequential. but based on the dates they were funded weeks before I received them.

Sounds as if the process was/is being refined as it goes.

I’m sure when they contacted me a week or so before I made this post, they had no idea they were going to get such an influx of sudden orders. So naturally it takes to refine all this stuff. All good with me as long as I get what I ordered in the end.

I helped a few friends purchase some coins as well and others on the forums have also received theirs. Some of us received our coins funded while others did not.

Some noted that on one part of the website it states that funded coins cannot be sent to the US - others have received emails stating that their coins would be shipped unfunded (that is probably the best idea as it prevents loss of funds if coins are stolen) and funded upon receipt.

There also has been some questions as to whether the currently unfunded coins will eventually be funded. Also, others have complained about the packaging (one guy stated several of his coins were peeled - most likely from rubbing against the packaging maybe?).

I know you stated you were working on a better form of packaging.

So, some of the questions that have been asked are:

1. How are the key pairs generated and handled?
2. Why are some US ones being received as funded while others are not?
3. Will the unfunded ones eventually be funded?
4. What will the new packaging consist of?

so sounds like those that received coins that are not funded, simply need to email him to let them know they got their coins and so he can fund them - I think Yogg is now doing something similar, sending our coldkeys unfunded and funding them upon receipt.

sounds like the first few orders got sent out funded before he realized he cannot send to US funded? I am not sure of the rules around this - I know for US companies to sell funded, they have to be registered as Money Transmitters or something akin to that.

as for the ones that got damaged/peeled during shipping he is asking you that you please email him and he will work to fix it.

edit - adding a second email, I think he sent the first one fast and this one after taking more time to answer.

The keys are generated offline, and printed on a printer offline. The only copy is on the coin, that's also why I then decided to load the coins when I am sure they got it. In case of loss, ....

But you can calm everyone. All the coins will be funded. I just need the confirmation that they get their coins so that I can fund them.

And for the peeled one, please tell your friend to write me an email. I will find a solution. I promise that I am not a scammer!

Ok, so apparently ALL coins are to be funded - Frank replied to me on Instagram and said to just send him an email with the coin numbers and he will load them.

Will post back later with results hopefully. Phew! Now let's see if he answers how his keys are made etc. Tongue

good idea on linking them, I did look them all up and post their status on funding and such but did not think to keep the links.

The site I used allowed me to just add all the addresses at once and it pulled their status in one shot.

I don't really know how to do any of that stuff you're doing above, but if you want to teach me I'm sure I could help compile that list for you. I'm tech stoopid but I can follow directions, most of the time anyhow

Still yet to have received my coins. Heading back to the Post Office today, maybe today is my lucky day ( or maybe USPS lost my package like they have so many others of late ).

It's pretty easy - Just go to https://www.alpencoin.ch/public-key and input the missing numbers, the copy the bitcoin address for each serial number. Links are no big deal, I can do that part with an excel macro.

Received my coins today. Unfortunately like others they were not packaged very well and due to a rip in the top of the envelope 1/3 of the coins ordered had fallen out. I spoke with Alpen and they are going to make up for the lost coins. That said I really like these coins. Pretty cool coins, smaller, have a good feel to them.

(On a side note USPS is absolutely worthless. Within the matter of 1 day I had a package where tracking said delivered but never was, they delivered this envelope ripped open, and never left a notice in my PO Box for another item received, so I had to ask for it. They've lost 4 packages of mine so far during all this).

another good point in not funding physicals until they arrive - at least for new ones.

I finally got the 39mm airtites with 30mm ring that I ordered in and they fit well.
