Posting on `Ann on Altcoin` for Exchanges

Hi

What is the procedure to follow when posting on altcoins when a coin is listed on a exchange

- The rules was followed to the T on this post

My account got a perma ban due to posting just a link on the coin's message board . I made it the less spammy way possible but got banned for this still .. Maybe i'm blind but can someone update me if I'm missing something

Please advise that i can follow the procedure correctly as there was not a warning - just ban immediately

Can you please post a link to the banned profile and the example of ANN or ANNs which you posted updates in for better advice.

As far as I know, you are allowed to post links to your exchange on altcoins announcement threads after they are listed on your exchange. But this shouldn't lead to spam.

Take a look at post history of bunterfisch.
bunterfisch made 68 posts on July 28 and 64 posts on July 29.
If you did something similar, you deserved the ban.

As far as I know, you are allowed to post links to your exchange on altcoins announcement threads after they are listed on your exchange. But this shouldn't lead to spam.

Take a look at post history of bunterfisch.
bunterfisch made 68 posts on July 28 and 64 posts on July 29.
If you did something similar, you deserved the ban.

Yes i did something similar to this . What will make it not spam as i would like to post properly ? Or could you point me to a proper example please.

Nothing. If you've been banned permanently then you don't have to worry about this anymore - you're not allowed to post on this forum, including any other accounts you might have.

This thread might be allowed if this is your ban appeal (not quite clear if it is).

This is a not ban appeal - I would like to hear from a mod how to proceed if i'm allowed to post on the forum or not . https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2823872 here is the profile in question -Total posts was 12 - 7 was with the link + ann  . I created a new profile and paid some btc to find out exactly what happened  . Clearly i was wrong here

You know what, time for a slight policy change:

After consulting and discussing with BadBear, I've decided that it's time to let people discuss a bit more freely about services. Although BadBear's earlier posts hinted that service posts are a "no go" on most cases, after contacting him a couple of days ago, I believe he has changed his thinking, possibly due to the community's opinion and suggestions (told you it would help Grin).

As per this shift, the following type of posts are now allowed in coin threads:

    Posts about block explorers. ("Here is a new block explorer for this coin" type posts)
    If a service comes up in a disussion and directly related to the coin, it's allowed
    "We're up" messages for pools (if it's only once per thread)
   "This exchange added coin" type posts for exchanges (again, if it's only once per thread) Which i followed per thread


However, said rules only apply to those posts that ARE NOT large, distracting with images, or markup codes (lots of bold and colors) and other traits of an advertisement. If a post is considered an advertisement will be determined on case by case basis.

Post your suggestions and opinions regarding this rule and how it should be improved and it might get implemented.

Then you're evading your ban and you don't need a mod to figure that one out - just read the rules at the top of this board. For someone claiming to have followed the rules you seem to have a persistent disregard for it.

Admin, global admin of the forum. Meta is the way to do this.

Your ban appeal thread should be named as Ban appeal in the topic's subject and OP has to provide reasons, proofs from your side. Then they will consider your case. [BAN APPEAL]UPDATE: Total table + Ban status (Need feedback from Global mods), something like that.

Unfortunately, from your post history, I don't see you will get a chance higher than zero. Sorry.

Practically speaking, He is a newbie and maybe his banned is still a newbie/garbage account. I believe he will not waste his time just to appeal for his banned account that's why he is not pointing out the account to check post history.


@kuberbitex, Maybe you nuke post other ANN thread using the link of your website and own thread here. It was consider as spam when you shill your project in all your post here. The only thing allowed in the forum is create your own ANN thread for discussion and never discussed it outside your thread because it will be off-topic which is consider as spam. You should hire veteran user here to guide you about forum or else you will keep banning.
