Bounty rewards sometimes are a mess, you work for hundreds of dollars but in the end you get pennies when you sell on exchanges, newbies should know that bounties aren't always guaranteed, most times things tend to go side ways
How do you know that you work for "hundreds of dollars" ? You calculate or predict your reward based on token or coin sales price? But this is totally wrong. The project can set what ever the price they want, but that doesnt mean someone will buy anything with that price. Participating in bounty is a double lottery. To success, you need to first receive a reward, second - hope project gets listed. A most important, when you pulled out a lucky ticket, pray it has no sigh "you have won another ticker".

How won't you know what your tokens worth before promoting? What's ICO price for? What's exchange price for? Few bounties have good value before bounty Campaign starts and dumps after bounty ends before distribution.

Bounties can be very deceiving and tricky some times, you might think a project is good enough where as it's a scam project, I almost fall for ibid signature campaign until I saw a bad review about this project called ibid in scam section on the forum then I quickly have a change of mind
Indeed the scam section is the best place to look if there is a bad report about it, and if there is one and the developer of the project is not addressing the issue then might as well leave it, a good developer and a good project can always defend itself from any issues that may arise, so check the character of the developer.

I have to be sure about a bounty project use case and development or plans before promoting, I'm not always in rush to join bounty projects as it's not a must, I join project that's good enough in my eye with high possibility of success, I guess this is what many bounty hunters don't understand

The glory days of 2017 are gone where bounties are really making us a living (shame on me for not knowing this hidden gem in early months of 2017, I only started sometime in November 2017). However, I strongly believe that one day bounties will become relevant and giving us decent income again.
It’s just that right now, the cryptocurrency market is now mature and DeFi industry is in great progress, which Ethereum is going close now to $400 (it even peaked to $408 before crashing down and recovered again).
When I teach newbies in joining bounty campaigns, I always made some disclaimer that we should “participate at our own risk” because nothing is guaranteed. Even if they guarantee the distribution, the token price isn’t when it’s listed on exchanges.
Maybe DeFi projects with bounty programs are going to be something that most of us are going to keep an eye on. But we should be careful also of fake DeFi projects.

1. Join a bounty project promoted by reputable bounty managers here. You can try to search a thread here in the forum for them and there are quite few results of them in a list form.
All of what you said are really helpful for the newbies who want to join the bounty campaign but this is for me the best one. For sure, campaign managers have built their reputation here in the forum and they don't want that to get destroyed just because of one scam project. For sure they've reviewed it first before handling it so... yeah for me this is the best. 8. If you have the coins or tokens in your possession and the value is good enough then sell it. Don't wait for a long time.
This is my mistake when I'm still joining in the bounty campaigns. I choose to keep a small portion of it and then old the large portion instead of just selling it all as they are getting listed in an exchange. My mindset at that time is that I will hold some so that if the project will be a successful one in the future then I can sell it at a higher price but it was the complete opposite. Either way, I still got some profits from altcoin bounty campaigns and bought a phone thanks to them .

If the newbies have low experience about crypto and they have real intents to promote projects it's best to follow reputable bounty managers like bubbalex and arteezy or bounty detective

1. Verify project's viability 2. Verify core team's identity 3. Check if they have a working MVP already 4. Check repository / Github activity 5. Ask the team on related questions on the project's social media channels, etc...
What should hunter do, if the projects passes all the 5 points you wrote, or simply dont have some the points. It is not a total guarantee that a project is not a scam even if it had satisfied all of the points mentioned above that is why we continue to have due diligence or investigate further about the project. For example, bounty campaign of an exchange. Do you often see they put their team on public or post a lot in github? Or MVP - often the team is in a processes of collecting funds, decides to run a bounty campaign. They wont have a MVP.
Well at least they must have a working MVP or else it is highly unlikely that they will ever produce one. As far as I know, most legitimate exchanges are already in operation before they had conducted a bounty campaign to promote their company. "5. Ask the team on related questions on the project's social media channels, etc..." - I've tried asking CZ questions about Binance in twitter, but he ignore me. If he ever run a bounty campaign, I'd better skip it. They seems shady, except CZ I dont know any representative from Binance.
Binance is already an established company, and I don't know if they had initiated a bounty campaign that could be related to your inquiries but I think you could try other support channels instead of using Twitter so that they can better address your concern. Moreover, I presume CZ is a very busy person that is why we should take such inquiries to their dedicated support team on different media channels accordingly.

Binance does not need to launch another project because they are successful already in their current project. Unless they try to improved the project and launches it through their current project. I have seen some projects that are finding ways to get into binance exchange for free in return of helping the Binance to promote. Well, whatever crypto movement nowadays going to happen. The best thing that one should do is to get flexible in all terms.

If you have experience, I believe you will know it is a bullshit project. Take a look at how that project works, it's obviously a ponzi model and you need to stay away from it. Fortunately, people tagged this project and hope no one will fall into that project. They will surely lose money if they invest

Searching on the google for the good project is not a good idea because most of the time you will get the scam projects names since they are paying for them to be listed their via various sources. You can keep crypto tracking and news sites for the new projects and also ANN section of bitcointalk especially for the bounty hunters.

I never look for a bounty campaign on Google, because this is a regular search engine and it will give you whatever you want, including scam projects. I usually go to to managers at Telegram channels with whom I have already worked, and there are also special channels dedicated to bounties.

Yes only join the bounty that is being manage by reputable managers or teams you could also try to search some of the previous project of the bounty managers to see if they are having a good decision on which project to promote or hold. There are so many new manager this days but I think it is good to stick with those who only had manage a successful project since they know how to choose a project not just accept any project that would be given to them.

Of course searching for a Bounty campaign on Google is not the right way, it's better to find information in this forum. Personally, for now I will only join the Bounty campaign managed by the Bounty Detective. I see they often get good Bounty projects, so we always get rewards if joining with them.

Well, many, many users have made threads similar to this and this one is an addition to them. Don't count me in on this since I don't do Altcoin bounties (except ETH) anymore for a long time as I only do ones that pay in BTC and Ethereum. I learned my lesson after the good old days of 2016 and 2017. Most bounties are no good anymore and even if they pay they pay only a dollers worth for a few weeks worth of your bounty labor. I would even compare this to slave labor camps. You get a good job outside crypto and then do the bounties so at least you still have something to earn in case your bounty payments can only buy you a meal at Mcdonalds.

It's best to look for new bounties in this forum, here are the best bounty and if you research before joining, I believe you will get a lot from them. Btw in 2020 has a lot of successful bounty and the market is supporting new projects, hopefully we will soon be able to see new bounty with big budget.

Those are really great points to know a good quality bounty projects. Don't see theirs greedy rewards, check whitepaper and social activities then decide to join. Join in every bounty is a bad idea, try to join in few bounty projects and try to participate in every campaign. Take good care of your social channels cause the more followers you have the more rewards you'll get.

Bounties that are run and managed on platforms outside of this forum do have some risks. For now, most bounties on platforms or bounties on bitcointalk are equally at risk of failing. Many scam projects are promoted. The inclusion of the bounty is not because the bounty is a scam, but the bounty cannot reach the sales target.
The thing that bounty hunters can do is to do a good and thorough analysis to find out whether the bounty is good or not and can produce or not. Following a bounty managed by experienced senior managers may be a safe choice, but must continue to do research before following it.

by choosing a trusted bounty manager, with a good reputation, and having a lot of experience handling successful bounties is indeed an effective choice. The bounty manager will definitely be careful to accept cooperation and have done in-depth analysis beforehand, to maintain his reputation. in addition, choosing a bounty campaign with btc or eth rewards can also be a good choice. Recent trends also show that some projects prefer to give btc and eth rewards. this becomes a pretty good one. like the injective protocol.

The reason you are not to put your whole reliance on bounty managers, irrespective of how professional or trustworthy they might be is because they are also humans, who can make mistakes. Sometimes, they also issue out warning that they are not part of the team and that participants should also do their own research before joining.
