Bitcoin.com, the scammest wallet I've ever seen

Ok I got too curious so I downloaded the vid on a VM. Not sure if I get it, but probably because the wallet doesn't support sending to Bech32 addresses? More of a bad wallet than a scammy one. Not sure why it says 0 though.

I suggest using native segwit(bech32) addresses anyway for your other transactions as the fees are even lower. It's just the case that the wallet that your client is using sucks.

They are BCH shills who claim Bitcoin Cash is the real bitcoin and BTCitcoin is supposed to be called bitcoin core there by confusing newbies into buying Bitcoin cash

In your pasted address i saw the word "bitcoin:" in front of the address. Maybe you should remove the word for it to work

You should avoid using non native segwit addresses, never had any issues with them and works on many different wallets. The one you're trying to use is not a preference of mine and these are the 2 main reasons why (source):
- No automatic password protection and 2FA authentication.
- No customer support.

Hmm I think that's inaccurate, he should avoid the use of native segwit address  or bech32. The main reason why bitcoin.com rejects broadcasting of the bitcoin transaction is that It does not support the use of the newest bech32 bitcoin address script type. It would be better to convince your client that the use of such wallet where bech32 is unsupported is a huge red flag, it just means that they are not complying with the newest upgrade that is implemented which makes them vulnerable to become obsolete for future use.

The articles simply states that they only accept addresses that starts with "1" or "3" which are legacy and non native segwit address.

Err.. your last 2 points actually got me quite worried. What wallet are you actually personally using? Having used a good number of wallets, I don't remember one with 2FA, or even an active customer support. 🤔

No, not bech32 / segwit is at fault, but the wallet provider who didn't update his software for more than 2.5 years.
I wouldn't use any software without such an important update for more than 2.5 years.

Obviously you are not at fault in this case, but the person using a scammer website from someone trying to deceive people into believing the shitcoin BCH is the real bitcoin.

All you can (or better: should) do is to tell the person that this website is a pure scam and he should either stop using web wallets at all (best) or at least switch to a more reputable one which received updates within the last 3 years.

Bech32 is SegWit (to be precise, it's native SegWit). When you're talking about "only SegWit", you meant P2SH-SegWit which address starts with 3...

All you can (or better: should) do is to tell the person that this website is a pure scam and he should either stop using web wallets at all (best) or at least switch to a more reputable one which received updates within the last 3 years.

Suggesting specific wallet in mind (such as Electrum) is even better, since it's possible that person might use another crap wallet.

You can but it is a bit tricky.

1- Create a new wallet and write your seed words down.
2- Restore your wallet: File > New/Restore > Standard Wallet > I have the seeds
3- Paste down your seed words> Options > check Bip39 seed > ignore the warning
4- In the next screen, select the middle check box (p2-wpkh p2sh)

Check your addresses and you'll see only 3... addresses

Nope, I would never try that. (Since I've tried it once ^^)

I just want to generate thousands of them, so I can give them to my clients. One address to one client. (Calm down, I don't have thousands of clients  )

I don't want 3rd party services to rule my business. Like coinbase.
