It is so sad that newbie mindset mostly is to join bounty hunting instead of learning first here about cryptocurrency. There are many helpful threads here shared by some expert users that are useful in the learning process. Besides, it is not only cryptocurrency being shared here but also to the scam and faud activities that could be process for one to learn from it and how it could be prevented or avoided.
It is so sad that most newbies do not visit this section often when in fact this should be the section that can help them a lot. This thread along is being made for them to boost their morale and to give the first merit they can receive knowing that they are not the type of user that will directly jump into bounty hunting and spam the forum.
I will continue to look after for this thread and see to it if there could be possible newbies worthy of recieving the merit l.probably change the category if ever I get more merits over the period of time. I am not keen on quality posters instead I will consider average users that do not do bounty hunting.

I’m also disappointed that newbies mostly think about earning and don’t bother to be informed first in this section. Anyway, I will follow this topic further and if I see any quality application, I will be happy to help with some merit. I hope to see at least some applications soon

I hope to see at least some applications soon Thank you for the support and well help the newbie to visit here often and boost their morale to rank up by being good in the forum. I might also change the category to give the chances to all users from newbie to jr. member. For now the category remains because I have limited merits. However, since you too are here and supported then I bet you can help a lot. The only problem now is that most newbie are bounty hunters so it will take more time for us to see and merit a newbie here.

Well, sad but true. What I think happening is that they are misdirected from their goal. Instead of using this forum as a source of knowledge to have a wonderful start of their crypto journey, they got easily blinded by the opportunity of earning made by campaigns and bounties. They're attracted too much with "fast money" that's why they tend to jump on joining despite of knowing nothing (only small to be at least). Keep the right mindset dude, I hope you will be able to convince more newbies to do the right thing . It is so sad that most newbies do not visit this section often when in fact this should be the section that can help them a lot. I agree on you somehow but I think there's nothing wrong of visiting with the other relevant threads either because that are the places where helpful knowledge lies within. When I was a newbie, my mentor told me that I should only stay on our local board. I followed him but for not a very long time, I explore the forum and I'm glad I did it. Jumping from one board to another doesn't necessarily mean that you're a spammer because everything still depends on your discipline. If you don't know what to say then refuse typing, just be a silent reader and use what you learned on the next discussion you deal with. As simple as that .

As I understand, receiving merit mostly needed to grow in rank (and not just a an instrument to support someone post) and forum ranks are valued mostly in bounties. So those which "mindset is only to join bounty" are the ones who care about receiving merit. Real newbie, that wants to learn cryptocurrency doesnt need merit, he doesnt even need a registered account here, he-he.

I can't agree with you because if they really need merit then jumping to bounty hunting is a big No No. Who would like to reward you merit when you were shitposting or making a mess in tye forum? Nobody like you if you will going to behave like that. Yes mot bounty hunters need to rank up and find merits but since they lack of.dedication just to promote their scam.project here in the forum that causes more investors or users will get scam with it in the scam project promoted.

I have limited merits here and I am only giving merits to those users that who had not yet receive any merit but are doing well in the forum. Maybe an average users that are not also posting bounty reports. All I can do is to help those newbie that could have the potential to be good and instead of posting bounty reports they will going to post in regards to cryptocurrency to learn more about it and often visit this section to get more ideas about users sharing information related to scam or fraud and scam investment scheme and how possibly to avoid it.

If you have a business of any sort and you want to make posts about it with images, buy a copper membership and you can then make your service thread with images as you like, if you don't want to buy a copper membership, make HQ posts to earn merits, mind you, begging for merits is against the rules and you will prolly be ignored by MS's and users if you keep up with that. Do not beg for merit excessively.

Without a merit i can only post links of my pictures and that doesnt seem to make my thread appealing ahaha! Please help sir! Give the newbies a chance to shine If only you did not ask or beg for it. The instruction above mention was to give merit for those newbie who has no merit yet which is you are qualified. I was also considering average posters which you I think you are more qualified. However, begging for it is not a good way to receive merit. I was in doubt if it is appropriate to give you a merit. I will check this thread again and see if other users might agree with giving a merit on you. Honestly there are more newbies that are deserving to receive one but sad to say that they are not here often to check threads created for them. This is one of the problem with newbie because they jump directly into bounty hunting and in your case. You might be a prospect as well because of your attitude towards achieving something. Effort is the Key!

I'm sorry if you mistook my post for begging. I was merely just asking for some help from you guys who have been on btcforum for a long time. If you dont give the merit i totally understand because you guys earned it. I will work my way up if i have too. Just asking for a helping hand. Peace mate! Now that you have told me about copper membership i will look more into that option. Thank you

<…> I will check this thread again and see if other users might agree with giving a merit on you. <…> It’s you prerogative, and a diversity in criteria is generally a good thing when awarding Merits. My personal take is that there is no particular rush to award the first Merit to an account. It took me a month and a half to get my first merit, so I may be biased on the speed thingy here … The account you quoted was created today, and has yet written nothing memorable. There are some more intakes I’d consider seeing the posting history, but that’s just me being alert. <…> Do not beg for merit excessively.
I wasn’t aware of the use of the term "excessively" there. In practical terms, it’s often replaced by "ever" in many people’s handbook.

In this manner, I am holding 1 smerit to give back to newbie to boost the morale of the user.
By the way, why don't you have certain criteria for the post that deserve to get merits? I think you should be quite selective to give the merits to Newbies. The reason isn't only about the quality who deserves merits, but I see that you also have limited merits for now. Don't give them to low-quality posts, optimize the merits for newbies who have the chance to be good posters.

I am not in hurry because I have few merits left and that you are right that I have to optimize in awarding to the newbies that are deserving to receive it. Anyway, I know that high rank users here were also here checking to support the thread. If they found some posts from newbie that are worth it to receive it then they could award it instead. For now, I do believe that there are only few newbies here checking this section often and learning about cryptocurrency.

I always try to give my merit to lower ranked members even though their posts might not be of superb quality, thinking it would give them some kinda of incentive to keep up engaging here. Of course I do not condone spammy posts.
