Youtube and Twitter are really asking for another adpocalypse. Twitter have already a shortage of advertisers, and Youtube had this problem before when advertisers boycotted it because of a Pewdiepie's video. I can clearly see it happening again; advertisers not liking that such videos are consistently present on the plateform and Youtube not taking them down soon enough. Same applies for Twitter. Youtube are extremists in these kind of concerns, they either take big measures and actions to solve a problem or ignore it completely, I guess that as long as it doesn't hurt their pockets at the moment, they will turn a blind eye to it.

I like people like you who care about the future of cryptocurrency. And as a community, I also care about this. It seems that this fraud is difficult to avoid, because of the limited knowledge of people about cryptocurrency. moreover they (the scammers) use social media as a tool to seduce someone to enter and get trapped, where we know that social media is an easy target to spread any information. This requires awareness, knowledge, and sharing of information whenever you see a suspicious (fraudulent) site to the public. although this is not the most effective way, but at least we have tried to help people not to be tempted by the lure of big profits or the like.

I don't think we can prevent other from sending their own crypto to the scammers. I mean, any kind of tactics just to give some bait to the victims and these victims were fell to the trap because of so many reasons;

• Eager to earn instantly
• Money doubling
• Giveaways
• Huge rewards
• High money returns, etc.

One's real experience being scammed is the lesson learned to be vigilant next time. Scammers already entered popular social media platforms such as youtube, facebook and twitter. The latest hacked and scam related issue from twitter and youtube was taken action already. But that doesn't mean scammers will stop, they will still continue with their new tactic to scam.

What we can do is keep reporting those videos that show in our recommendation. They have been silent with all of these scam ads and videos that got a lot of innocent viewers.

If you find crypto scams on the twitter or youtube platform, it's best to make a report to the platform's support department.
Indeed, we need 2-3 reports so that Twitter or YouTube takes action by removing the content. I also do not know why does

We have seen a lot of similar problems on different popular social media platforms so it's not new at all. Even if these platforms such as Twitter and YouTube try their best to take down those scam giveaways or anything related to it, there are still people who fall for scammers and they can't do anything about it.

We always see that it's best to educate ourselves and other people but we cannot really teach everyone on the internet. I guess we can just do the simplest way by reporting those scammers and maybe giving awareness to other people as well.

The only thing we can do is to keep reporting them anytime you come across them. The reason why the scam keep increasing is because those and other hacker see that they are still earning from the project. YouTube specifically need to review the way they accept ads because I think they have the worst ads management process. We could do the same thing.
Use Twitter, Youtube, and Facebook as a weapon to educate those who may possibly be a victim of this attempts.

We cannot control how many will follow us or read it.
But, there will always be the possibility that someone will read it and avoid this scams.

when people talk about these crypto scams, one thing they usually forget is that they didn't really start with cryptocurrencies. these scams existed for many years even before internet and now they are changing their form.
because of that, there isn't much anybody can do about it. if you look around this forum alone you will see dozens of topics warning others about the scams and educating them about how they can verify them. this forum is also top rank in search engines. and yet people get scammed.

no because that centralized database can also start scamming whoever uses it.

Centralization isn't necessarily an issue here, as the exchange/wallet shouldn't entirely stop the user from sending their crypto. At most, they should warn them that the receiving address looks fishy, so they should reconsider performing an irreversible transaction.
You could also open source the code and make it so that a link to the scam is required to add an address to the database, allowing others (including any exchange/wallet that checks against the database) to verify that the address should be there.

What is the crypto community doing/(able to do) about Twitter and Youtube crypto scams? The other day I was recommended a SpaceX live stream that was promoting a btc/eth scam, and this was on Youtube's homepage. I've seen these scams on twitter for years, and they only seem to be getting worse, so I don't have much faith in either of these platforms solving the problem any time soon.

Is there anything we can do as a community to prevent people from sending their crypto to these scammers? Could we build bots that crawl these social networks and add potential scam addresses to a database that wallets/exchanges can check against before letting users atomically send their crypto? I know the most obvious solution is to educate people to recognize scams, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Every website and social media could be used by those scammer so there shouldn't be a surprise about it.
And the answer to your question on what we can do to prevent it is to educate everyone spread out some info about those scam project of course we couldn't convince everyone but at least we did our part.
We just need a solid proof about it and a good explanation because some people would really be hard headed and would defend it.

But yes we can avoid those.
We can also be careful and can save ourselves from getting scammed.
These silly fellows keeps on spreading the scam whole over YouTube and twitter and also make the Bitcoin's fame down.

We should always be mindful of that since not everything that we are seeing on the Internet is true. We need to be mindful of the people around us and educate them that what they are seeing on Youtube is not always legitimate since it is easy to put up commercials or advertisements that might have bad outcomes. Too good to be true, better to keep away don't let greed victimized you by this scammers. The chance for newcomers to fall to this kind of act is very high, as they are thinking that this venue of investment is just that easy.

Most of those scammers are good in alluring their target victims, showing good proofs that they are really getting good from this kind of scheme.

Always make sure to do your research and the best place to do that is to keep reading from forum that talks about the same industry that you are planning to invest your money.

Scam would always be around us no matter what, Before I knew Bitcoin I already heard so many scam investment Ponzi schemes and other schemes as well.
They just found an easier way to do it here in crypto currency so the only way we only need to be smarter and don't fall easily to their sweet words and promises if it's too good to be true then it is a scam and avoid it just use your common sense and you could easily avoid them.

If it's YouTube, they are not listening and these scams are still appearing in advertisements. I'll wait until the day finally there is no more any single scam advertisement they have on their platform.

There's a big flow of money circulating in crypto so there is no way we can shut down those scam-relating things.

Just continue to spread awareness as much as you can. As you know, even for experienced people, they still fall on the trap because there's a human nature that tells us to take the risks ignoring what our common sense tells us.

There is nothing we can do to prevent investors from getting scammed but we can prevent ourselves from falling into this kind of traps.

These kind of scams are already common if you are into the crypto world for quite some time already. I've seen different types of scams already that have been done by these scammers. From networking company using Bitcoin and ETH to these ETH double blah blah bullshit.

Now what can we do to prevent these investors to get scammed?? None. Let them experience it the hard way. Like I always said, an investor will not learn if they will not experience it. Let them learn and if they got scammed, they will realize and adjust to it.
