Hi all,

Has anyone had experience with Hoidex.com?

This was an exchange, offering a number of trading pairs, and now appears to have gone offline and people are unable to access their accounts. Potential Scam.

How did people even find this exchange? Doing a quick Google search, I couldn't even find this exchange on any forum post or any social media post at all. Heck, the exchange isn't even relevant enough to be on Coinmarketcap.

First of all, doing a Google search it appears that there was an attempt to at least create the platform/site. You can see from the image below there was some content there...



The issue seems when you click on Hoidex.com link you get this.


All in all this is more likely a Scam. Why do you people use these obscure exchange platforms when there're quite a few credible out there? Almost like you're asking to get scammed...

Never said the site wasn't indexed on Google though. What I meant was I don't know how people end up on that site without the exchange even having any social media presence at all; because it's pretty safe to assume that these scams are mostly spread on social media.

     My exact thoughts. I mean, I am quite active in this industry and use a couple of exchanges out there it really bugs me how people have managed to find this type of site or exchange. I mean, all legit exchanges do advertise themselves right? That is normally the case. But however, with this one, I never even seen a single advertisement about it. If there was some, it wasn't that widespread. Which makes its credibility even less believable due to its inability to get itself known.

Just my opinion.

How did you find it in the first place though? As for finding the person who operates it, if it's a scam, it's highly likely that the operator was using an anonymous service(unless he's stupid) so you're unlikely to have any leads there.

How careless can people be with their money 

Same here. First time to hear this exchange. And I don't think anyone here has experience trading with unknown exchange. I don't understand how people can find and trade this low level exchange where their money is at high risk.

Every time you will engage next on every website or exchange sites. Don't forget to search first their legitimacy. You can use this tool, example, https://who.is/whois/hoidex.com. The result was clearly shown that the sites recently created and all register data was hidden.

That's it a potential scam and the name didn't even popular here, I won't use that exchange site either.
There are too many reputed exchanges, operate for how many years in service.

Did they offer you a listing? Seems like you're a part of a project that was targeted as a potential scam listing. Otherwise I don't know why you would use them in the first place.

I see this kind of listing scam multiple times so it's not that surprising, but they usually don't shut down their website that soon.

Same here, I tried to find out the official website for this exchange and I have found it but I tend to doubt that this exchange is legit.

First site that I found is https://m.hoidex.com/#/ and it still can't be opened and the second site is https://www.showdoc.com.cn/page/4408720713640768

If you are not part the exchange's team be carefull with new exchange. They are a lot of cases already where many user who lose their money after they made a deposit.

Its dead and it do add up on the pile of those exchangers that didnt get any users.
Its no surprising yet market competition is very fierce on exchange platforms.

How did you end with a very rare exchange? we have no idea what exchange is. It's not a potential scam, it's a real scam if they have been offering trading pairs before and now that they've gone.

It only signifies that they've made the website just to scam. If you or your friends deposited on it, there's no solution to it. They've gone offline and that means that they have run away with most deposits.
