I would like to know if this a CPU/GPU mining coin and if this coin is VPS friendly? Because I don't want my VPS service provider banning my account when mining this because of being a memory hog. I will also research on this coin.

Should be fine.  But you do need at least 2.5 gigs of memory (to run the full GUI wallet).
