What Happened:
As you all knew. Defi hype is really increasing and as this becomes a trend today scammer/s found a way to take advantage of this. Yesterday August 14 was the Public Sale of Sperax Defi project at exactly 10am ET. The investors waiting for the recharged of individual unique address to invest on the site.

By the way, Sperax ICO accepting eth USDT and trx USDT for participants. It took almost an hour but the site was still down and unique distribution address werent still reflecting on the token sale page for participants, while the scammers are keep spamming fake post about the Sperax ICO contributions addresses on the telegram while people complaining about when the recharge address will show up. So thats what happened and boom!

If you checked the scammer's address. They manage to get 11k USDT. For few minutes they alreadt get that and proves how defi hype is really big for investors. I appreciate if you can help report those addresses. Too bad we cant figure how to track down these scammers. Sharing you this for all defi investors to watch out for scheme like this. Always pay attention and not jump right away to invest. Protect your money.

I remember the ICO boom around 2017-2018. On telegram groups the scammers used to post their own address and people used to think that's the ICO address. Stupid investors kept sending coins until some other is saying that this is the wrong address. I am sure those noobs learnt their lessons now.

It's unfortunate that some scammers is using this defi hype to their advantage, I was at sperax telegram when that scam incident happens, admin should muted the telegram until it is finally fixed but they opened it and scammers getting the advantage to do their thing. In my own perspective Sperax has potential but always DYOR and try in your own risk. I remember last 2017 when there is ICO hype, scammers are everywhere and they are coming back now and we should be extra careful. I know there are promising defi projects but these scammers are creating fake defi projects too.

Well there are so many legitimate defi that continue to be launched but what's the matter that scamer continues to take advantage of the moment so many are trapped due to the scamer's own actions so I think we should be able to make a lot of noob who has no experience in investing in new projects, like this would be a scamer's paradise if every time there is a trend they will always use their tricks to cheat.

When hype is created in the market, people are attracted to hype without thinking much. Newcomers are the victims of such scams most of the time, but it is not always just newbies who are the victims of scams. It is often seen that the old members also fall prey to scams. So everyone has to be careful.

Im sure its not. I was there also and the hype on the project seems to be huge. If you check the photo the contributions sent have 500usd and more than 1k means they are really aiming to get bulk of it. Obviously they are not paying attention to the telegram group attentively.

I had to say youre right. Somehow the outsourced admins on the group are all inexperienced. Pretty bad on the side of sperax, cause they shouldnt unmute it while the case isnt solve. With only few minutes, imagined the scammer collected what more if they let the group open for the 1hour deleyad of their token sale.

They are in a hurry to invest these people do not know or aware that telegram are full of scammers you can change your username create a new one imitate the admin of the channel and there's always notice that the admin of the telegram will not be the first one to pm you,

If these DeFi fundraising are the same as it was with ICO then we will see scammers will do the same thing and the noobs will fall for it. I do not know what could be done to prevent it but those skilled marketing teams should figure out something that will stop these scammers who are taking advantages of the time.

No one can stop these scammers because they always come up with a new idea which attracts a lot of people and since everyone want to make quick money, people risk their money in their scam plans and lose what they already have.

The only way to prevent from these scams is to understand that there are no quick rich schemes and no one can become rich without the hard work.
