06/20/2014 UPDATE

NF2 is now completely sold out.

BUT!- the Nano Fury 6 is now available in the webstore.  We will not have a big thread on the product here so look at the webstore for details.  There are very limited number available.

But check it out - very cool miner.  We give you an additional heatsink for the front, which is flat, if you really want to overclock it.

5 Gh/s Nano Fury II USB Bitcoin Miner v0.5
by Moonlight Miner, Design by vs3
Dual Chip Bitfury USB ASIC Miner

    Specs and Info:

    • LOWEST PRICED 5 Gh/s USB MINER AVAILABLE
    • NOT a Pre-Order -- In stock for immediate shipment
    • Each miner contains TWO Bitfury (Rev.1) ASIC Chips
    • Super Easy Install - No additional drivers needed for most computers
    • Requires this version of BfgMiner: http://luke.dashjr.org/tmp/code/webisect/webisect.php?dobuild=bfgminer
    • Overclockable - speed of 4.7-5.4 Gh/s at 53-55 bits - stability can reduce with increased speed.  3.7-4.1 Gh/s requires 1A(amp), which is slightly more than USB 3.0 standard of .9A
    • 5 Gh/s speed needs 1.5-1.8A per device.  It is unlikely you will be able to utilize each port in a powered USB hub.  In tests a 10 port "Juiced Systems" USB 3.0 powered hub ran 4 miners and a USB fan comfortably.
    • Miners can exceed 5 Gh/s but have NOT been tested above BfgMiner oscillator settings of 55 bits.  Running at higher speeds may damage the miner and will void the 30 day warranty.
    • Light to medium air circulation required for speeds over 3.7-4.1 Gh/s.  USB fans work very well.

NEW!  Info on MAC OS support thanks to Nate Woolls.  http://blog.nwoolls.com/2014/04/10/bitcoin-mining-on-mac-os-x-nanofury-2-asics/

We have not tested many hubs conclusively at this point but believe amp capacity to be the only limiting factor.  You can use USB 2.0 or 3.0 hubs.  3.0's typically have greater capacity.  Please refer to this comprehensive list of hubs that been tested: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253749.0

EDIT - I replaced the screen shot with a run that was free from hub issues.  That particular hub could not run efficiently with 4 miners and the miners themselves were not tuned individually.
This shot now shows miners I pulled randomly out of a box, tuned each one and let run overnight.  Let us know if you have any questions.
I am also testing these on ASICMINER's 49 port hub to see what we can get out of that.  Should be interesting.

Having fun goofing with a 49 port ASICMINER hub.  Got them up to 52 bits but afraid to go any higher.
Will reset the display and see what it looks like tomorrow.  Might try to break 80 though first.  Shocked Shocked

      EDIT: Got to 84 Gh/s.

      Interested in a few...

What hubs are you using in the pictures? and how many can it run? Looks like the best option for these huge USB miners...

49 port hub - I staggered 18 across the holes.  When I try to put in the 19th it installs with an error.  So I'm not sure if that is because the USB port on the pc is maxed or the hub is.  I am thinking the pc.

I have used an old Anchor hub and a Juiced hub, but any powered hub will work.  The more amps, the more you can run at greater speeds.  They will run on 2.0 hubs, but if you are acquiring new I recommend the 3.0 hubs since they typically have more power.

Will look up those hubs... Running RaspberryPi so USB is out of the question (I enjoyed my Anker 9-port USB3.0 while I was mining with a laptop before though)...

You might be able to salvage the RasPI option - there are plenty of (powered!) USB2 hubs that can do the job.

Swimmer63 already posted a link to the thread reviewing the various hubs - I highly recommend browsing through it.

For example - here is my latest note there with some observations about a good (USB2) hub and a not so good one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253749.msg5717301#msg5717301

This new hub from Dipo Electron can take up to 49 because it is powered by ATX PSU and has 40A:

Oh - and by the way - NO COMM PORTS to worry about - NanoFury does not use serial/COM ports at all ;-)

From personal experience I know you can populate all ports with NF1 and they will be stable.
