If they can regulate crypto casinos, that would make their economy to boost more, it would be helpful to recover from the damage created by the covid-19 pandemic. They'll become a crypto casinos capital in the world, I think this is the future since no country has owned this title yet.

Let's just say there are the first in history of crypto industry to do this kind of stuff. however, if China mimic their decision, they automatically turn into crypto casino capital of the world because they have a whole country dedicated to gambling which is Macau. Now that Germany has started it, I wonder which country will gonna follow its steps.
Not Only Macau because even in other countries in Asia Chinese are dominating the competence of Gambling casinos.they are the owner of the biggest casinos operating in other countries so the domination is really indeed from China.
But Germany is Now setting its own goal and this is a much good for crypto market because not only for being Big country but also for active gamblers that may use crypto in future for their activities.
Do they already accept crypto currencies transactions? If they've done that that would be really fast just like a forest fire. Germany is also named one of the most innovative country in this world, I don't doubt them to start the use of bitcoin and other crypto currencies in their casinos.
I believe that they already did because this won't be posted here if there are still issue in crypto towards germany government Though Bitcoin still not a legal tender in this country at least there are merchant who accepts it as payment.

this can be a good chance for bitcoin community/casino owner.
However they (German Government) can adopt some limitations to casinos that accep bitcoin/cryptocurrencies. this can be a very risk situation since player could be seen voided their winnings!

That's a possible risk, we never know what's on their sleeve so we can't be too happy with this news.

Banning online payment system means they don't want their people to gamble, and they could put some limitations in crypto casinos if ever that casinos are regulated operating in the country, but if these gamblers will gamble outside the county, maybe that's the only way they can get the best experience without limitations since we have crypto casinos in the space, and it's just necessary that they know how to play with their funds to ensure they are not violating laws set by the authorities.

I don't read in the article that they are allowing Cryptocurrency in fact they have a crack down and restricting traditional online payment processor, there's still no guaranty that they will use Bitcoin, they are still in the process of creating a new laws about online gambling there might even be a crackdown like what happen to Paypal and the rest

Sooner or later, there will be a new online gambling casino that integrates their payment with the other online payment processor, and perhaps, they can consider using crypto to their site. But in fact, gamblers in that country will search for other ways to play gambling still, and I am sure they will get it later. It will not stop them from playing gambling if gambling is their way to having fun and using their free time, and I guess that they have an offline casino, which the government doesn't know where the place is.

The problem is their country is very strict when it comes to gambling, they wouldn't make this limitations if they just welcome more gamblers to spend thier money in gambling sites. Same thing would happen with crypto being use in gambling, that could easily be monitored or prevented when a gambling site is regulated, if not, that's the real freedom and I think there's no regulated crypto gambling sites in the country, correct me if I'm wrong.

though altcoin can serve them as well, but first things first so bitcoin should be promoted before followed by choices.
This is a very positive news for crypto casinos, with this, we can expect more casinos will join the market and that would make crypto casinos to be more competitive to the fiat casinos. Liking that idea that it would result to surge of bitcoin casinos (actually, crypto casinos).
there are already plenty of casinos using crypto, try to check the service sectin how many new casinos that advertising in this forum now.

Then that is a good news, though there's a lot of casinos but only few are really gaining popularity in the forum while the adoption is going on.
I just hope that with more competition, it would result to better services of the casino. If these waves of people who would enter the crypto market, that would make crypto market more popular because they will introduce themselves on the number of casinos that are offering variety of games.
well thats the idea why there are so many gambling sites are now advertising here in this forum, maybe they find out how big help Bitcointalk is for their business.
For how many years now that gambling sites is being advertised here and some had already stopped but many are starting their own.

Why the ban? Is it to prevent gambling (good thing to do, in my opinion) and betting addiction, or they just have disagreements with both companies (visa and mastercard), maybe concerning the issue of addiction and gambling? I didn't read the article unfortunately. Wish it was posted here.

Well, I think Bitcoin/crypto casinos should allow only safe and responsible bettings. They have to do this and also respect good/sensible national laws.

The main event there might be the crackdown of illegal gambling sites that has sprouted all across the country. Bitcoin casino owners should take advantage of the situation and make those previous fiat gamblers convert to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This will be what I call the golden opportunity in which they can use to earn more and also help those who previously gamble in fiat to instead become cryptocurrency enthusiasts and also players. Whether its slots or poker it is a good time to be a Crypto casino owner.

Those places would exist if there would be high demand of gambling games on such place or country even though it would turn out to be against or illegal on what had been mandated by the government itself.
Stopping it totally would not really mean that they would really get rid of it knowing of that someone can play without the need of those typical fiat processor or any other third party and this is where
crypto gambling will really make up some buzz. The problem here is that the German government would declare another ban or prohibition towards cryptocurrencies?

that includes on the reason why they ban those payment procesors but it could also be ilegal/legal matters   . theres  even  crypto wallets that dont allow funds from gambling ,  something like that  .  they say theres an improvement or a good news after the said transaction happen . im happy for them

this is implemented last time  . theres a rule that a gambler must follow and he must not exceed with those stated limits because there was a punishment  .

The German government has banned visas and mastercards, because it is widely used by illegal casinos. Of course this has a positive
impact for Bitcoin casinos in Germany, especially Germany, including countries that accept Bitcoin. I am also sure of visa and mastercard
users in Germany want to keep playing gambling, one way to avoid this ban is by using Bitcoin to play gambling.

They can't ban bitcoin just because it's used for gambling, but they can ban a casino if they are using bitcoin to avoid the restrictions imposed by the government. They know that people will find an alternative, so if bitcoin are used for gambling, I think they'll draft a law to prevent this from happening also, as of now, people can enjoy using it but eventually it will be ban in the long run, what's we have to look at here is the reason why they ban digital payment system and they can also apply that to crypto.

Crypto is more advantage rather than digital payment because it's more anonymous compared to fiat payment system. Digital currency using crypto can see expedite the gambling transactions due to Blockchain technology driven by the alternative provided. With this factors, surge of bitcoin casino demand will increase and possibly it might cause more uprising online gambling to start latest operations once gambler population will also rise.

Perhaps, we will not see that it is happening now, but we don't' know if that will occurs in the future because we know that everything can be possible to happen. Even crypto is not being used for gambling in that country when crypto can explode in another country, that country can get the impact of the crypto from the other country. No, you are not wrong to say like that, but I prefer to say that everything can be possible in the future.

If gambling games are illegal in that country, I think people will try to open underground gambling games to avoid government regulations. We know that in many places, there are illegal things that happen without the government knows, but in the end, the government will know and search for those places. We can only guess that someday the German government would declare for another ban or prohibition, but I hope that they don't ban or prohibit cryptocurrency.

This is so deep, perhaps, what the country needs is to strengthen their fiats because of economic crisis, cryptocurrency could help but the volume of casino gamblers in a country will not be enough to recover the loss of the economy from taxes but I can say, it could help just like the way how BPO industry does, crypto gambling casinos transcends boundaries of countries. The only hard thing about it is the legalities of the platform that needs to conform to each and every country's jurisdiction.

Nah, they will not rely on crypto casinos only as although it's expected that the demand will increase but it does not give success right away, or what we called an overnight success. Along with this success, there are some trials in regulation as when the regulation is so lax, it also has a bad effect to the people, good for the economy but bad for the people, I think government has to balance things.

The only hard thing about it is the legalities of the platform that needs to conform to each and every country's jurisdiction.

Of course, but at least they can cater gamblers from different countries.

Just like China, gambling is illegal in their country but they can gamble in online gambling sites outside the country.

I guess you mean "rules gamblers bettors must follow"... Or is gambling legal/allowed there? It's more like saying "there is a rule the drunkards (rather than drinkers) must follow. I think many bettors could misinterprete this as "it's OK to gamble but you have to follow certain rules". You see how it conflict with (or contradict) my initial post about not allowing gambling, and you seem happy about that.

They are not allowing visa and mastercard for betting, but they are also not allowing people to access crypto betting websites like sportsbet,
so it is not an easy solution. Problem is that I think other countries may follow German example, and that is bad.
What is next? They can ban alcohol and bad food, and who knows what next and make one big concentration camp again.
There must be some freedom and responsibility and less restrictions for online betting.

OP is speculating there is no guaranty that Bitcoin will be used in gambling sites based in German they may even ban Crypto currency because they have cracked on gambling there and they want it regulated, well what can you expect from a country that used to have a dictatorship as their form of leadership.

This will be the golden opportunity for bitcoin and other crypto currencies to be part in German casinos but I wonder if the German will allow it.

But if in case German will not banned the usage of bitcoin and other crypto currencies then German casinos will surely use it as they can surely easily adapt to it.

Every country have their own regulation about gambling but this one is quite harsh because they totally shun every payment processor and this might include Cryptocurrency so they may not be surge after all the article says they will have regulation, what kind of that regulation when they are banning all kinds and forms of payment, they might totally ban it.
