The good thing about bitcoin casinos is they don't need bank transactions and the Germany citizen can just play from there home and withdraw their cash (or buy some more coins)on next trip to neighboring nation. The gambling sites can be registered anywhere and they won't even have to follow german regulations as they are neither using german lands nor it's money.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

After the German government banned Visa and Mastercard in casinos in June and PayPal stopped processing online casino transactions because of sanctions last year things are starting to look good for bitcoin casinos in Germany.

What do you think?

Well if things go well then it would be fun, if the government does not penetrate online illegal sites then transaction from bitcoin to other currency will be widely spread. Paypal doesn't have that much of  satisfactory service with the clients, it requires more information that gamblers are not interested because such a waste of time.

If most gamblers would move to bitcoin, it will only take time for the government to also implement new laws on bitcoin in Germany. I think the regulation is to prevent gamblers from gambling in illegal sites. Instead of avoiding the government's intervention, they should also stop gambling in illegal gambling sites
Regulating anything about the rule is the duty of the government and I believe the German government will soon issue new rule regarding crypto gambling site if the interest in crypto gambling grow.
That's why if the German government is showing a strict regulation with gambling as a whole, gamblers can't escape it for too long even if they will use crypto to avoid regulations.

Gamblers may experience new things with crypto gambling sites that can be good for crypto adoption, but if illegal gambling sites would also switch to crypto, then the government will also come after them. But if the government is positive with crypto adoption, then they can promote it as an alternative for online transactions.
The German government is definitely being strict in gambling, if a gambling site or online casino is not licensed or not registered in Germany as a legal gambling site. So if people don't want to have problems, they should follow the regulations and licensed their gambling to be legalized. It will also be a problem if a illegal gambling sites would switch to adopting cryptocurrency because there is a chance that Germany would also banned crypto to avoid this kind of illegal activities.

The German government is known to be quite disciplined with applicable regulations. I believe the German government has banned visa
and mastercard in casinos, definitely because that casinos are illegal and do not have a license. The same is the case with online casinos
that stop using PayPal, that online casinos are likely not licensed either. And finally Bitcoin is the best choice for transactions in online casinos,
and causes a spike in the price of Bitcoin in the market.

While I do not like the idea of governments telling people how to spend their money at the same time this is a great opportunity for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, people do not like to be told what they can do with the money that they have spent so much effort earning and if the German government is going to do something as dumb as this then it is likely that many smart gamblers that are aware of the existence of bitcoin and that did not adopt it for some reason or another will take the opportunity to do so now.

^ Gamblers should not worry because only those illegal sites are being tracked down by the government so they should play as they want to. The positive side of using blockchain networks to pay in online transactions is less time and less information so that the possibility of Bitcoin casinos is 99.99 percent to surge. Neverthless, I quite appreciated those gambling sites that has well disciplined and follow the regulations by the government.

Maybe yes but if the government's intention is to reduce the gambling activities then they will also regulate the crypto gambling sites or even can completely ban it.If not yes then the crypto gambling sites are going to get surge in the german market but why particularly for a country this is borderless society and anyone can join from anywhere if they have money and internet connection.

According to the article, the demand for cryptocurrency among online gamblers in Germany is rapidly increasing. In here, we can say that gamblers here are already crypto-oriented and knows that gambling with the use of cryptocurrency is more convenient compare to the usual payment system they are dealing with fiat online casinos.

However, it was also mentioned in the article that the German government will restrict online gambling operations in its territory. Therefore, shifting to crypto-gambling or any form of gambling will also be banned or won't highly encourage. I don't know how the German government will able to restrict access to gambling sites, fiat, or crypto, but if they have a sort of technology to track down those citizens that will play against the law, it will be a problem.

I really don't like this gambling under the shadow. The proposed law should be modified and focus on targeting those illegal gambling operators instead.

With those instances, it simply means that's Germany have welcoming back crypto at their backyard. I say this a rightful thing to do during this time and it gives leisure for those people who stay at their homes have time to gamble if they want. But the intent of welcoming it back is not only for gambling purposes but it also gives the people an option other than fiat or another digital form of payment. Things can be changed as they needed it for this time.

How many Online Casinos are either registered in Germany, or are licensed to accept players from Germany?  It might help to have a look at which markets accept Crypto Vs Fiat in the form of Credit Cards and see if the Crypto are out pacing the Fiat only sites.

Bitcoin casino are already introduce in the community and somehow common to other parts of the world that includes the german community. I think OP was right tha gamblers will join in an anonymous form of betting and that is by using the bitcoin. There could be a surge to bitcoin casino but I guess it needed more time to happen because others might be having some problems like technical aspect of cryptocurrency like creating and transferring crypto from wallets and buying crypto too in the market.

From article's in OP - https://dailycasinobuzz.com/news/germanys-online-casino-gamblers-see-bitcoin-as-payment-option

Quote
Germany restricted online gambling operations in its territory. The European Union Law allows online gambling operations, but Germany has a different outlook towards the industry.

Means online gambling is not allowed, reason why people are looking for alternative to avoid government restriction and that is by using bitcoin to gamble or any cryptocurrency. I guess if they will allow gambling with crypto, it has not come into law yet and still on the process or in papers.

I am not sure if using bitcoin to gamble to avoid restriction is safe.

It would be a nice change to see some casinos with licenses actually open up to having a new online license from a country like Germany instead of all the usual offshore suspects,,, but in the end, governments must realize they cannot restrict crypto casinos and this is what is really leading to the re-regulations in Germany. If you cannot beat them, join them, right?

That would be the best solution, instead of closing the market completely and watch casinos relocate to different countries, better make a fair tax system and profit of it. Creating more security for the investors and gamblers. I'm no export on the German market but I would assume in the current form its just much cheaper for casinos to open in small countries which offer a lot of tax incentives for new Internet businesses.

Bitcoin casinos can surge in Germany if people don't choose to gamble besides using credit/debit cards or using Paypal. That will help them hide their identity, but if the casino requires them to do KYC, they can not do anything except follow the rule. But they will search for another gambling website to playing gambling. But at least, that can help bitcoin to grow fast in Germany.

Only gambling Will not help Bitcoin to grow, not in Germany or anywhere else. Ako, anonimity is not so high as it was before, if we can even talk about anonimity, so that will not attract gamblers. What we need is to build general awareness of cryptocurrencies and its benefits, then we'll also have changes in gambling industry.

That shows the versatility of the German people to look for ways on how to still go through gambling. It is also an opportunity for the Cryptocurrency in the Gambling Industry to step up since that can still boost their popularity around the world. Banning some known Credit cards was a big step by casinos since they know that there can be lots of people and foreigners that can play with it.

Do they already accept crypto currencies transactions? If they've done that that would be really fast just like a forest fire. Germany is also named one of the most innovative country in this world, I don't doubt them to start the use of bitcoin and other crypto currencies in their casinos.

After the German government banned Visa and Mastercard in casinos in June and PayPal stopped processing online casino transactions because of sanctions last year things are starting to look good for bitcoin casinos in Germany.

What do you think?

But what can they really do? I mean if you buy bitcoin with cash then the government is not going to know that you're holding it and then you can use it to gamble to your hearts content, this is one of the strengths of bitcoin since it cannot be stopped by the government no matter what they do, so I have no doubt that if German gamblers are left with two options on the table and those are to not gamble or to gamble with bitcoin then we know that they're going to choose the latter rather than the former.

I don't read in the article that they are allowing Cryptocurrency in fact they have a crack down and restricting traditional online payment processor, there's still no guaranty that they will use Bitcoin, they are still in the process of creating a new laws about online gambling there might even be a crackdown like what happen to Paypal and the rest

Quote
Recently, the country’s remaining online gambling companies stopped financial transactions with PayPal and other major credit card options. Because of government restrictions, online casinos that use Bitcoin popped up in the market.

If they can regulate crypto casinos, that would make their economy to boost more, it would be helpful to recover from the damage created by the covid-19 pandemic. They'll become a crypto casinos capital in the world, I think this is the future since no country has owned this title yet.

Let's just say there are the first in history of crypto industry to do this kind of stuff. however, if China mimic their decision, they automatically turn into crypto casino capital of the world because they have a whole country dedicated to gambling which is Macau. Now that Germany has started it, I wonder which country will gonna follow its steps.
