Is it necessary to create an ANN thread?

A competitor can create a fake accusation to ruin the reputation of legit sites and we've seen so many of those but there's no one yet get caught for that acts since anyone can create a dummy account here. And we can easily spot those guys doing that since majority of them just posting some words without providing a solid proof regarding on their claims.

And actually I agree with you since it could create a good benefits for the site owner to have a ANN here but still its their personal selection if its really necessary or not since if the site is good and the games are appealing for sure people will just come and play.

I have never thought about that but you are right, a casino that is going through some trouble to get clients may think that a competitor casino is responsible of this and try to ruin their reputation with a fake scam accusation in the forum since you can create an account anonymously.

However thanks to the trust system it is going to be very difficult to damage their reputation in the forum as most of the DT users ask for some kind of evidence before they tag and create a flag against a user, so at the end I do not think this tactic will be very effective in the forum but it could be outside of it where the trust system has no effect.

They can say whatever they want outside of this forum, but it will hardly have any effect on the reputation of the site they want to denigrate(of course, if the site is fair by itself). Bitcointalk  is set up in such a way that you can check on who's making accusations, who's supporting them and who's against them, and then come to your own conclusions.

If owners of an online crypto casino don't create an ANN thread here, they can be suspected in having something to hide from the community. So, in short, an ANN Thread here is a must.

An ANN thread on bitcointalk and other forums is basically a free marketing.

In addition you have a platform to represent some reputation of your project, thus it's always a plus to have a topic.
However some of your team members must watch it to answer any questions.

Marketing is one part of it, another is helpful to the site as well because quite possible they may be unaware of some bug or something they need to communicate to mass users, so this platform helps then to just post and inform to their users about the update on any particular thing etc. It has many advantages as such if you look at it and better to have this as it also creates an open communication between the site and users and being transparent is what is being liked by many users.

I think it depends on your definition of 'necessary'.    Of course you can post and promote without it, but you won't get the respect you deserve.  If you want to be professional, get the players and compete with the big dogs, I recommend creating the ANN thread.

It's the right word, respect! With opening the ANN thread here, make good promotions for members, you can attract many players from this forum, who will bring even more players from others sites. Managing the ANN thread is equal important as opening one, to be active there, to solve the problems people have, to talk with players and improving your site with the help of advices you get from all of us. That would be ideal but to presume out on possible answers neither they dont know this forum or they dont just like to post up on here because they are afraid with the criticisms just like what you said but

to think that these criticisms would be beneficial at least they would able to hear out on what people are looking into and if they do find out something wrong then you can actually fix it.

Its just impossible for that reason though and also it doesnt really require money to post up a thread on here even if they dont consider on launching up some campaigns etc.

Ann thread is always needed for gambling site to become renounced in the forum, without that I don't think people will be informed properly. Thats the reality but there are exceptions just like on what you had mentioned about your rank.It isnt always the criteria for the community to rely on because if they do find out

your content or the thing you've been marketing and it do looks interesting and relevant then you might really get that consideration.

It's interesting that there is a whole other industry of crypto related projects out there that don't rely on, or have never heard of the forum yet are able to flourish.  Clearly to answer the OP No, not really. People really can get by without the forum.

Having said that however, it should be noted there are nearly 3M registered users on the Forum, so that is a market that is being missed out on by these other groups.

Well, that is simple logic, those gambling companies touched the Bitcointalk forum and want to promote their brand name, they need to create an ANN thread ^{[this is not mandatory but it is necessary]} . The meaning of ^[ANN] is announcement thread where they can update anything about their project developments, promotions, and events. In this section also, it was pinned posted the rule that it should be 1 thread per 1 gambling site, beyond for that, perhaps it will be deleted by MOds. On my own, ANN thread is necessary if you are promoting your company but if you are only shilling here, it is up to you.

3M registered users but we do just talk a small portion of it considering that there are lots of alts, new accounts that is just solely being created for spam and scamming attempts and more.

but overall its just really hard for someone in business that wont consider this place.They can proceed on but as said they had just missed to advertise or to market into a place where

NO, not necessarily. Opening and creating an ANN thread on here is not mandatory but it's a custom as a way to increase your visibility to perspective customers.

This is because on here there are many people who check these pages on a daily basis for updates and what not. So it's a cheap way to promote your new casino whilst getting constructive feedback.

This has been the norm and the process many casinos have undertaken even if it was an idea or a pre-product, people are keen to provide feedback on the features they want or would like introduced. Thus, it is a great way to understand the needs of your customers - great, cheap market research!

It can also be used as a way to get updates for possible events and if there are questions from its users or anything needs to be answered can be done in the ann thread. Having an ann thread here is that you are recognizing the traffic that you can get from the forum and it's the most popular bitcoin forum. Traffic from here is organic and you don't have to target your market because it's already being classified as people here are aware of cryptocurrencies and gambling.

Don't confuse normal projects and scam projects. Normal projects need a theme with announcements more for connecting with the community and announcing news and announcements, as well as even for advertising, but not for shilling.

We might need to revisit the purpose of having an ANN thread for any cryptocurrency project especially those that started from here( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188163.0 ). The early projects have announcement threads in the forum that is still active till date, it has an active moderators, that post developments and answer queries and question. They are usually added to the contact media on market charts. I trust projects with thread on the forum than telegram, they face stronger criticism on the forum than on Telegram and social media.
