Blockchain startup Ripple is exploring new platforms that use its native cryptocurrency XRP and the universal payments platform PayID.

As one of the 40 companies that launched PayID, a platform-agnostic payments network that allows users to send and receive money instantly, Ripple kicked off a virtual hackathon that drew in 360 developers and 40 project submissions worldwide.

This week, Ripple head of developer relations Warren Paul Anderson is revealing the top 10 finalists.

Ripay, an app that allows users to send XRP through popular messaging platforms like Telegram, Discord, Matrix, and Slack received an honorable mention.

Ripple has always had great news coming its way but this hasn't in any way helped its value in price. I ain't sure that's about to change any time soon because of its huge supply. Perhaps the dev team should do some burning to attract price increase. Any day this is done, the price will skyrocket off the roof.

and then the price will fall just as quickly. I do not invest in this coin, even if it has good news, because I understand that there are very huge risks of the wrong entry point

Good to see some dolid developments from ripple and i think it will be a great feature to send or receive ripple for payments directly from the most used messengers and apps. This is definitely something innovative and will help towards crypto awareness and adoption as well.

I think it is still unpredicted to see what will happen to Ripple, even if they update the project because many people stay away from that coin.
People think that this coin can not profit, so that makes them not invest in that project.
Maybe if that update can help the project rise at this moment, the price will increase, and we will see that Ripple will have a better position in the market.
But I think if this coin is worth enough to hold, I will buy the coin and not sell if the price does not increase to the high price.

Ripple holders really want to see the effect of the news on the price. Ripple has been behaving like a stable coin, has a good potential though but its distribution is another cause for concern, reason someone like me is careful.
