Once you have gotten the public consensus to change a shared/public/decentralized software, code, book, audio, video etc you could change it but don't delete the "old versions". The old versions should be immutable. They should be immutable incase they are needed for something right, or for other good reasons.
You definitely don't have the right to change things owned by someone/individual on such public network without their consent. You can hide those things if they violate the community rules... The owners can change them but it's still very important (for the owners) to have the immutable copies(in hidden form), which only them can view unless it's allowed in public again by Just Law/consensus.
And individual hiding the data/things do not prevent community members who already have the copies of the data (in their hidden form) from having them.
