As an existing digital wallet and an online payment system, chances of them implementing cryptocurrency on their system is high.

Look square cash, soon VISA and paypal, and now google, these are the big institutions who wants to adopt this new normal. So let just wait others to do their first step.

It could be as more name companies are involving themselves in crypto. And as Google says, there is demand to they step up and will try to be part of that big pie, a billion dollar market.

I just do hope that the integration will be flawless and we don't want crypto enthusiast complains about the huge fees that are going to be shoulder by us. Closer to adoption? it could be as people realised the true potential of crypto then we might see this becoming a success in the future.

They've seen the demand so that is an opportunity for them to get some good revenue from crypto.
I wonder what happen to their crypto coin, there was no buzz now anymore, probably it didn't pass to the regulatory requirement, or anything related?

Well, what I know is that google try to ban crypto ads, now they would like to add crypto in their platform particularly the google play, I think this is the start that good will start to admit that bitcoin is superior, either they'll go against it or adopt with it, and with this news, we won.

On the other hand, they will surely make a tons of profit here as third party middle which we don't like to adhere. Its better if Google fix their system to filter scam/phishing sites and remove scam/malware app on google play first. While they announce this will get massive adoption on cryptocurrency (especially NWC token), they also make newcomers will get scammed after fall to phishing sites.

I agree with your suggestion. Currently there are still many fake applications with phishing websites embedded in the application. Even the phishing application can get away easily and get a lot of ratings with quite a lot of downloads. Google Play still doesn't do protection properly so fake apps can get away with it. Not only newcomers who are cheated, but people who have been in crypto for a long time can also be deceived because they think that applications from Google are legitimate and secure applications.

About the use of NWC tokens, maybe they are already partnered and google recommends it. but there should be BTC and ETH payments as alternative payments.

I think this is great news and many projects will follow these first adoprers lead as crypto is becoming more and more mainstream. I also think that google is careful enough not to incorporate scam projects into this option, because they would lose too much credibility, if they did.

Yes, it is really grate to know that huge companies are getting interested in cryptocurrency. The worldwide adoption of crypto would become more significant specially nowadays that online payment are now always using by the people. We can say that there is really a good future in crypto space.

Can somebody confirm on that news if it's true ?

If it's true it would really be a good news since the hassle of buying crypto with fiat will be decreased a lot.
Though google is trying to act as a middle man to buy crypto, it will be for good since once we buy the crypto we will be able to use it in our own way.
But this will also mean that Google will have our data of when and how much we use crypto.
So it will be in our hands in what method of payment to choe. Be wise and choose at your own risk.

So..alongside other big-name companies, Alphabet (Google) is a major acquisition to the sphere.

Quoting; "as a result of rapidly increasing demand for cryptocurrencies among retail investors, the need for trustworthy, well-recognized fiat on-ramps that make investment both safe and simple has become a major focus point for blockchain companies looking to make their services and products more accessible. Likewise, Google has stepped in to meet this demand by now allowing crypto firms to offer Google Pay as a payment method."

Big crypto brands already with a Google Pay cooperation are Paxful, Coinbase, and Newscrypto, with the last being the first platform to offer direct cryptocurrency purchases using Google Pay for their native (NWC) token, that is on a big run recently because of it.

Just showing how working towards mass adoption will be helpful for the projects yet to come.

Although like every company, Google is actually doing this project for their own profit, it is actually a good thing for cryptocurrencies.
This will lead to mass adoption of crypto as many people are only looking for a giant company such as Google to endorse crypto before they move into it.
By allowing crypto on Google pay, Google is saying that we trust and endorse crypto and can be used by everybody.

I feel like all of this "help" to crypto is not really even a help by google, it is just another income thing from them and that is it. Think about it, bitcoin itself is not really something free, it is over 11k right now, that means with all those coinbase and all other things, I am sure google is getting a lot of downloads as well and the more downloads they have the more ads and so forth they could get, that way they could get a lot more downloads via those apps to other apps and the more it is used the more data they get and the more data they sell the more money they will get.

So, I would say google would love to have crypto and anything regarding crypto, that way they would be able to profit from it, why wouldn't they want more profit just because it is crypto related.

We had lots of similar news about acceptance and considerations towards crypto on where integrating or implying it into its service specially to those big companies that we had known.Im trying to search out further

Does that mean Google will start allowing Google Pay to also be used as a method to directly sell our fiat to buy crypto inside it? Will Google turn Google Pay into half-crypto or create a new wallet where we will be able to buy crypto without any intermediary fees because of its wallet being used directly?

No they're not going to implement a wallet inside Google Pay, they will use the existing Google Pay service to allow you to purchase crypto to your exchange wallet using the money on the attached credit card.

If this will be approved, this one would be a big hit for crypto since it will be made easier for the people to access crypto transactions. What we can do to help is report potential scam or phishing sites as there will be more of them.
Not hard to track all those scammers and having their masks on.
It is still up to the user to do his own due diligence before jumping on board.

We will see it later. If Google really wants to integrate its Google Pay, they will release an update on its website. At least, they will announce it to the public. If that is a success, it will help cryptocurrency grow and have a mass adoption from people. Right now, Google dominates the android mobile phone market, so that will be a big step to introduce cryptocurrency to the public. People will see a new feature in the payment, and they can try to buy crypto using Google Pay.

I agree that Google needs to filter the ads that will show because that will be a chance for the scammers to trick people into getting their money. As end-users, we need to be careful when we see cheap promotions and don't decide if we don't get further information because that can be an easy way to scam us.
