I don't think that it's wise to rule them out completely because Manchester United under Micheal Carrick are a top team that can go up against any top team. You don't have to draw a conclusion that Manchester United don't have the squad to win them either the Champions League or the Premier League. I can agree that they can't win the Champions League, but they stand a chance of winning the Premier League if they continue with same form that they ended with last season. Manchester United will still use same players that they used last season so they can contend the Premier League title next season. Marcus Rashford will likely reunite with the team again so there will be lots of energy in the team if he returns and i think that Michael Carrick is waiting for him to return from the world cup so that they can have direct conversation. I hope he maintains a good relationship with Carrick so that he will have a good playing time. In my opinion, Manchester United is all set for the new season and winning the Premier League will be their main target.

Manchester United under Micheal Carrick was unbelievable. Nobody expected them to finished among the top four and qualify for the next Champions League. Manchester United performance from the last two seasons was very bad under Amorim, they had a bad start from the beginning, but Carrick came to rescue them and improve their performance. But I also think Amorim deserves his credit for the players he brought in to the club during the transfer window.

Moreover, we shouldn’t underestimate Manchester United right now, Casimiro is the only player that leave after the season ends. Carrick performed extremely well managing Manchester united in the few games he managed last season but expecting him to win trophy with Manchester United in the coming season is already high expectation on the manager who's trying to revive the team back to normal after heavy downfall that happened during the Ten Hang and Amorin era. It's a dream far from coming into reality. Being successful in a few games is not a guaranteed that things will continue on that track the following season. He took over the job midway and finish it up but now with the season starting afresh is the beginning of the challenge.
