In the previous game, Manchester City managed to make a comeback when they were 2 goals behind Tottenham, but last night, Manchester City failed to make a comeback and Tottenham managed to defend their 1 goal until the end of the game. I think Guardiola is the best coach, but Tottenham already know how to break Manchester City's attacks.

Totenham has been learning from the first met with manchester city. It must be fully defensive to prevent the come back to happen. Manchester city was a team that could make comeback anytime and there's no reason for totenham to go all in after it has made goals against manchester city. Harry kane got some golden opportunities to make additional goals against city. Totenham becomes fully defensive after first goal and the club was using counter attack. Some chances were happening from the counter attack.

That's football for you. You can't be champion forever, I saw Manchester City weakness even before now but it seems very difficult for them to handle it.  This loss of Manchester City is an advantage for arsenal who is their rivals now in the English premier league.

Manchester United might be in this title race if things go in favour of them more in time. This week was really helpful for them for example. Arsenal and Manchester City both lost three points in the end. But we will see how much Manchester United will be consistent in the remaining games as well. If they start getting unexpected results again than they would lose their chance for a title race.

Whether they enter a title race or not even joining the Champions League will be a good success for them. It will be a greater success than the previous season at least.

it was Man city's chance today to get closer to Arsenal, but they fumbled the bag, Tottenham want to play in the Champions league next season, and they scored from very few chances and let Man City take the ball and couldn't do anything but miss, what a golden chance Man City missed today to catch up with Arsenal.

I would have never expected Manchester City to be that weak at defending. This was what Tottenham wanted from this game. Kane scored thanks to one of the weaknesses in their defense for example.

If you watch their previous game then you would noticed that most of the time, Manchester City kept their possession and keep on attacking therefore they dont really need to defend at all but shits do happened though and in this case they lost to Spurs despite that this is a good chance for City to get 3 points while Arsenal didnt get any point

I wouldn't say that Tottenham played badly. However, Tottenham was very lucky so they managed to get three points in this match. The performance of Manchester City players was quite visible throughout the match. They played very well. Scored a lot of tries. But they could not break the defense of Tottenham. Especially in this match, I would like to praise the performance of Lloris and Dier. The performance of these two players was very good in this match.

I am not quite sure whether you are referring the the Champions League or Premier League. Pep Guardiola won 4x the EPL, 1x the FA Cup, 4x the League Cup, and 2x the English Supercup. All of that happened within 6 seasons, and now it is his 7th season. Would you argue that that is bad for a coach and Guardiola should be questioned? If you are referring to the Champions League, then this is probably the wrong thread. But if you are referring to EPL related titles, I would say that that is a pretty strong performance for a coach!

It is not like Tottenham is easy to beat especially in an away game. It was the typical game. Manchester City had more possession, more shots on target, higher passing precision, etc. But there are these days where you just can't get the ball into the exact right position and score and on top of that you might be unlucky as well.

With every game day passing by the EPL becomes more interesting in regards to whether or not Arsenal can really pull off the big surprise!

I don't think things like these can hurt professional players, but surely they are having some problems just because of this now they have two defeats which are surely concern for them, but this is also usual business in Premier League while higher rank teams lost against weaker sides as we have too many results Wolves defeat Liverpool and Newcastle United held by West Ham United which is also in relegation zone.

The season is mostly over for Liverpool in Premier League. With the latest defeat, they are no longer be able to join top four even the season has many matches left. The best ending they can have is a position from 5th to 6th, not higher.

With this situation, I believe Klopp and Liverpool will try hard in Champions League but winning the title is not easy for any club. If they can win it, they will have a default slot to join Champions League 2023 - 2024 no matter what rank they end in Premier League.

That's a silly joke by City players to let Spurs winning them.. That was a serious opportunity to profit from Arsenal defeat and to reduce the gap to 5 points! But no they just totally ruined the opportunity and not only giving Arsenal a golden chance to win EPL but also helping ManU to catch them..

Harry Kane scored one goal which makes him as a best scorer in history of Tottenham Hotspur. He made a history and more meaningful, his club won a match. They are continuing their race with Manchester United, Newcastle and even Manchester City for a position in top four.

Arsenal will expand their gap with Manchester City to 8 points if they win their match. 8 points will be a very stressful gap for Manchester City and Pep especially they will have to think more about Champions League in February.

It is not the first time that Man City is defeated by Tottenham. So, I don't think it is very surprising. Everyone must remember that Tottenham always makes Man City difficult to get points.  

We know that Man City really wants to win this match to overtake Arsenal. But they failed to get points in this important match, so no change in the point gap. I think Man City is too obsessed to get 3 points and loses focus on the match. So, they only made many shot attempts but they have no accuracy in scoring. It is a big lesson, Man City must stay focused on the match.

I didn't see midfielders and wingers getting Haaland's spot throughout the match against Tottenham, while they did get few shots on target. I can say the level of selfishness of the players on the field has made Manchester City's performance drop this season, and clearly they are not as strong as I imagined while ago.

Therefore, Guardiola seems to have tough homework for the rest of the season by getting his players to play as team supporting each other for team achievements. Of the top 3 standings, only Man United made it through the week with good results, even though it was dramatic in the final minutes which were quite tense because Erik Ten Hag had to immediately rotate players so he could cover Casemiro's gap. Preparing against Leeds, in my opinion, there is still an alternative that Ten Hag chose to complete his winning streak. The plus point of playing at Old Trafford is getting more and more superior.

The declining performance that Man City showed against Tottenham is very clear that focusing on Haaland will only be easy when his shooting space is guarded. Kane and Son really made Man City's back line look fragile. This can be seen from the quick counterattack carried out. The appearance of Grealish, Haaland and Kevin found it difficult to penetrate the defense which was deliberately built to strengthen the front of the goal.

Liverpool seem to be frustrated that Wolves are able to be more dominant in building attacks, many opportunities are wasted because Klopp still trusts Nunez, who clearly becomes the spearhead, looks dull in terms of quality.

It seems that Chelsea are not too interested, even though with the composition of the new players there cannot be any significant changes.

When Arsenal lost against Everton I had the feeling Man City won't be able to capitalize on that and win Spurs but I just wrote the feeling off. I've always said it that it's going to be a strong battle for Arsenal if they are to win the league. We are at the point in the league where they can't afford to drop anymore point, unless Man City starts dropping point which might not happen.
People think Arsenal's loss to Everton is the beginning of their doom but I highly doubt that. Nobody was expecting them to win every game, they'll definitely drop point and they have. It's also highly unlikely that they'll not drop points again till the end of the season but let's see how it goes.

Why not? arsenal has known as a team that becomes incompetence at the end of the season. In many cases, arsenal was not able to keep its win streak until the end of season. that's also the reason why arsenal was also losing a few chances to be a champion for premier league.
The lose against Everton was a very bad result as we knew that everton was in the relegation zone. Arsenal was also very luck yo see manchester united has got the same result as it. That's why arsenal's gap is not yet being cutted.
BTW that's pretty interesting week as some small clubs have been beating big clubs like liverpool and arsenal.

You have my sympathies; it is disheartening to watch a squad with so much promise and ability underachieve. However, I believe it is essential to keep in mind that the course of a season is never smooth sailing for any squad. Even though Manchester City has had some difficulties, I still think they have what it takes to get back on track and play as a team again.

Personally, I believe Guardiola to be an excellent coach who coaxes fantastic performances from his squads. His track record of accomplishment gives me confidence that he can rally the troops and help them triumph over their current challenges. Manchester City still has plenty of time to turn things around and make a strong run for the title; the remainder of the season has a long way to go.

Yes, indeed. Manchester City could not beat Tottenham, which in addition received a suspension at the end of the game in his team and had weak statistics throughout the game. Manchester City's match against Tottenham was very exciting but this was a nightmare for Manchester City fans because they had to accept a very painful defeat, only one goal difference and Manchester City were unable to catch up, Erling Haaland could not move freely and had difficulty scoring goals because it is strictly guarded by Tottenham players.

I think, Manchester city coach need to apply more skills to enable his players improve higher in their next matches, because Manchester city fans are not happy about their poor performance in this match. Many people predicted for the favour of Manchester city because they believed that Tottenham Hotspur don't have the strength to stop them not to achieve three points from the match but the match turned for the favour of Tottenham Hotspur to defeated Manchester city 1-0. Tottenham Hotspur really prepared well for this match, because they made their defensive so strong from the beginning of the first half and till the end of the second half not to allow Manchester city strikers achieve a single goal from the match.

Maybe we should say it wasn't meant to happen. I knew Tottenham will not accept a second defeat from Manchester City after the horrible humiliation at Etihad. It was so saddening to watch Tottenham score two goals in the first half and then lose 2-4 at the end of the match. It was the right moment to make Manchester city pay and I'm happy it happened. if they wish to cover the pace with Arsenal, They will have to fight hard in their subsequent matches.
