Right before the break due to these nations league games the table looks like this: Never would of thought the team on top of the table would be Leicester city and Tottenham and Southampton in the top 5. Just hope not more players get injured during these games until the Premier league starts back up on the 21st again. As I have said so often already, this season is completely open. Corona mixes the cards. Basically half teams of the league have the chance to win the championships this season. We have seen so many surpises already and we will see many more surprises. Not only in the Premier League but also in the Champions Leauge.

The table reminds me about the strange season when Ranieri and Leicester City won the Premier League. In that season, when the first half ended, there were very little people thought Leicester City could win the trophy because they thought Leicester City would not be able to maintain their forms in the second half and the bad record of Ranieri (never be a champions in his career). They broke their limits and broke their bad histories and won the trophy. I think in the season, we need more matches and the competition will look better after the first half ends around the Giving Days.

We remember the Premier League season 2015/2016, no one thought Ranieri could make Leicester win. Even Dimitar Berbatov, the former Manchester United striker, predicts that this season's Premier League champion may not be from the superior team.

I still doubt Mancity and Liverpool to be at the top of their defeat also make a lot of fans disappointed because a few mistakes can cause them to fall, I see LaLiga, the premier league, UCL are the same if you pay attention.

Furthermore Tottenham are looking to resign Eriksen (surprise transfer), and Leicester is targeting to get Florian Thauvin to boost their title credentials. Lastly what may work against Leicester and Tottenham is that their player’s may get exhausted in the long run because of playing in the Europa league, and that’s something one must consider before believing that they can win the league title. The problem with Leicester is that they lack consistency towards the end of EPL, last season was a good example, they flopped in a bid to qualify for top four and UCL, more so they don't have a depth squad that can challenge or match other top teams for EPL trophy, if James vardy is injured their will become weak. It quite interesting to see teams who are usually underperformers making top 10 in EPL Liverpool and Man City will improve and probably battle for the trophy once they pick form I couldn't see any other team that give them run of their money this season.

I don't remember a team losing both of their starting centre-backs for the whole season and I've been following football for a while.
Liverpool currently have VVD and Gomez out for a longer period, Alexander-Arnold out for a month and Fabinho still returning from injury.
I wonder who will play at the back now - if fit, it will be Fabinho and Matip. But this really puts a dent in our title challenge.

I think there is a bit of fantasy out there among you guys.
Give it a few more weeks we will see the traditional table taking shape.
More interesting to me is the teams who are completely failing, what's going to happen to them?
Is there any chance to recover, there looks to be a race to the bottom. :/

It looks as if Liverpool are slowly but surely running out of fit centre-backs after Joe Gomez suffered an injury now, too Any updates yet how bad it is? Knee injury always sounds bad ... Liverpool just released a new update: https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/415749-joe-gomez-injury-update"the issue is likely to rule him out for a significant part of the remainder of 2020-21" without VVD, Liverpool is the 3rd team that conceded the most goals in the league so far, now imagine what's gonna happen without Gomez, and Matip + a youngster in the starting 11...shitty situation for Liverpool, do they even have money to sign a quality CB?

Many match one November 21 but we can enjoy watching after many player many players have strengthened their country to face the qualifying rounds of the World Cup and European Cup. Not good week for Liverpool fans after many player have miss with injury like Van Dijk, Arnold, Fabinho, Chmberlain and Thiago Alcantara. Will become bad week for Liverpool fans next month without best player right now, I think become moment for Klopp how to get good touch although with coating cast. More than seven player of Liverpool injury and need four weeks back to the field give impact how Klopp will change the player composition line up each week because they have many match and exactly have faced with champion league.

Just heard the news about Gomez's injury. Horrible diagnosis for Gomez and awful news for Klopp and Liverpool. They'll definitely need to invest into a new CB in the winter transfer window now. Not really sure how their defense is going to look like until then. And right now I can't think of a (cheap) CB on the market that could help them instantly. In the transfer speculation thread I was thinking about Alaba but I don't really know ....

Sheffield may recover at some point and escape the relegation zone. Burnley situation isn't desperate too. Now Fullham and West Brom were seen purchasing tickets to championship express in da station. Brighton is at risk too. Theses 3 teams will be near relegation zone by the end of the season imo. The real question is who will be N1. Liverpool injuries are increasing and threatening the strategy. City doesn't seems to profit from other teams defeat. We will see in the next rounds how the table will turns

Brighton is actually playing very good football and they had quite a lot of bad luck so far. I am quite sure they are staying in the league and with a couple of points to spare. Fulham and WBA are terrible and they will be relegated unless they do some extra good shopping in winter transfer and turn their form completely. Sheffield is maybe the biggest disappointment for me this season, or maybe this just shows how much they overperformed in the last season. They are legit relegation candidate in my eyes.

Mourinho sees Gareth Bale as the perfect choice and with what I read it no longer a rumor Mourinho seems to be concerned about the player conditions in Wales at the Nations League. Bale is no longer the same beast in the field of play as you said but he's gaining back his fitness and with someone like Mourinho he could be the beast he once was. At the best case possible, he would be a good player in Tottenham but he wont be a beast anymore. Premier League is definitely not a soft field like Laliga. He spent most of his time on the bench last season while other player has been working out at their best possible effort Brighton is actually playing very good football and they had quite a lot of bad luck so far. I am quite sure they are staying in the league and with a couple of points to spare.
As long as Sheffield and Burnley is still playing like a bunch of highschool player, Brighton would be able to secure a safe spot just above the relegation zone. Among the bottom 5 in the standings right now, Brighton is actually the best in terms of scoring goal with 11 goals while 4 others have less 8 goals so its pretty safe to say that they are going to survive this season

I know there is already a poll of who you are going to think will win the competition, but is there also some sort of poll of people hoping that a particular team will win? I would like it if we get an outsider for the title again, just like Leicester City a few years ago.

Bale is still a goal-hungry player, but he is very different and not at his best. I believe Mourinho can maximize Bale's potential and make him better, but I agree that Laliga is different from the Premier League. Bale look perfect for Tottenham because the club has made him a great field star. His return may have an impact on the achievement of the club for the better. And Manchester City isn't even among the top 10? This season feels more like the 2015–16 Premier League season, when Leicester City won the trophy. Most of the top dogs were inconsistent at that time and the underdog sniffed it right off their noses
Manchester City and 3 other club are playing fewer matche compared to other clubs at this time. I'm sure they will be in the top 7 (at least) if City have the same number of game as other club. However, I wouldn't think that a team like City wouldn't be in the top 4 at the end of the season. 8 matche haven't been able to determine that they are so bad. The Premier League still has a long way to go, and hope City can bounce back as planned.

Right before the break due to these nations league games the table looks like this: https://i.ibb.co/NKBfxHM/EPLleaderboard.jpgNever would of thought the team on top of the table would be Leicester city and Tottenham and Southampton in the top 5. Just hope not more players get injured during these games until the Premier league starts back up on the 21st again. And Manchester City isn't even among the top 10? This season feels more like the 2015–16 Premier League season, when Leicester City won the trophy. Most of the top dogs were inconsistent at that time and the underdog sniffed it right off their noses Then should we put a couple bucks on aston villa, southampton or everton to win the premier league? Even though it wont as good as leicester x5,000 as the league running now, the latest odds i can see for aston villa is @135 and everton @110 and southampton @150. While the two debutants fulham and west brom each got @5,000 which it's a mission impossible for now. But if you make a bet for aston villa in pre-season i guess you'll get a better odds like @2,500 or so. Anyone?
