I think that this postponement of the games won't be good for any team in the league. Because the fixture is going to be much tighter for every team. It is really bad news especially for the teams that are competing in multiple tournaments at the same time. Two-week delay to honor Queen Elizabeth's death is too much. I think a day off as national mourning of Queen Elizabeth's death and everything will be back to normal. I know Queen Elizabeth's death is a very big event in England but Premier League clubs can't just postpone for two week because of that. The Champion League is ongoing, a tight schedule with matches from both Premier League and Champion League close or even overlapping with each other will be big trouble for England's clubs. They won't have enough time for players to rest or recover from injury and will lower the performance in both leagues.

Last year, covid broke the calendar of games, and this year officials want to break it due to the death of the queen. I respect the queen and national traditions, but I think such a long mourning is unreasonable. We have to reset, playing any more games in our current state and form would probably lead to the same, horrible results. Of course, a day of mourning will engulf England, and postponing the game was the right decision. After all, British policy will remain compliant and delayed for at least a week after the day of mourning. I think the UK will prioritize a mourning royal atmosphere much more. But on the other hand, as in the article you shared, it can be done as a form of respect by observing a moment of silence in honor of the Queen.

Yes, Van Dijk doesn't play like he usually does, he always lets his defense area be controlled by the opponent so they easily lose goals. It's not just defence, their attack doesn't look good, I don't know if this is the effect of losing Mane or not. But clearly they are very difficult when in the opponent's defense area. It's also Mohammed Salah who is usually seen playing a role, now I haven't seen anything from him.

This weekend's match round to be postponed as a mark of respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

From previous events, I don't think Premier League will be postponed longer because this year, there will be World Cup in December. Matches must happen to avoid breaking schedule too seriously and affecting the England national team.

Players will have one week to rest and they can have good fitness later. It's good, not bad and one week postpone is not too serious.

Yes, there are quite a few teams that will benefit from this postponement, the teams in blistering form wouldn't be happy, they'd have loved to play and continue performing at their highest level, but for the clubs that are struggling, this prolly gives them more time to analyse what's gone wrong for them and try to rediscover their form; like you said, one of such teams is Chelsea, and of course they now have a new manager, he'd (Graham Potter) be happy he's not been thrown right into action as he should have against Fulham in the Lunch time kickoff tomorrow, but he now has more days and even weeks (as there is no official statement as to when the EPL will return) to get to know his team more and pick his best players.

Having said that, i second what you said that it's going to be a boring weekend, i already had my plans on the games i was going to watch in the EPL this weekend, i'll prolly just focus on other leagues till we are free to resume once more.

It is likely that the Primer League will be postponed  as a sign of mourning for Queen Elizabeth's passing. United Kingdom government's decision to announce a 12-day mourning week has put the Premier League on hold for this week and it is possible that next week will also be postponed. Actually matchday 7th and 8th will postponed depending with United Kingdom not allowed all bigger activities include with sport event and Primer League include it.

Miss Primer League until at the end this month because after 8th matchday on 17th September have FIFA matchday and Primer League will continue on early October. I think give opportunity for all Primer League team get rest and have many days recovering exactly for team participant on UEFA Champion League and Europe League for recovering after busy week.
