Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026

Arsenal has already taken the lead in their away game against Everton, they have tried so hard to win the Premier League for years and their team keeps improving yearly as they have managed to finished second in three consecutive seasons which shows how well committed the team is and how serious the manager is. This season, Arsenal looks very serious, they have all the players a team will need to win trophy, they have more squad depth than any other team across Europe, and because of that, they didn’t drop much points despite playing without all their starting defenders, and yet they are topping.
I am hoping on them again this season because they have more squad then Manchester City and Liverpool.

Arsenal are winning with a goal lead but they return the ball back to their own half under several occasions that would have counted for a proper attack. The confidence in today's attack from Arsenal isn't the usual, kind of dull attacking play, if they suit up in the second half, Arsenal are likely to score more goals.

I also observed Everton are attacking from one side of their forward, Arsenal already understands the pattern of play and it doesn't seem to help them. It's a long 45 minutes again, Everton can make up some numbers but it's less likely of them with their current attacking strategy.

Liverpool again making their fans very nervous in the end, I think they are not yet at the point where they will be confident in themselves and that may change if they continue to improve the way they are doing.
For me I think Tottenham Hotspur played very well but they have a behavioural problems because those red card were unwarranted and unnecessary which cost them alot in the game.

It was humiliating to see that even with Tottenham down to just 10 men from the 33rd minute of the first half, Liverpool couldn't secure a convincing victory and had to concede a goal, even playing against an opponent with only 10 players on the pitch. Imagine if Tottenham had had 11 players until the end of the game; it would most likely have been a draw. Unfortunately, Liverpool is still far from being a perfect team.

Leeds is currently beating Crystal Palace right now and to be frank, I'm surprised because I was thinking it will be the other way round but it's totally different, now can Leeds hold on and win this very game or we are going to see similar thing that happened between Newcastle and Chelsea earlier today. In the other match, Arsenal leads Everton which is totally expected especially after Manchester City beat West Ham to go top temporarily.

I don't think that Tottenham losing to Liverpool currently has due to the ten men that they have due to an early Red card. From the beginning of the game Liverpool has been the better side , even though the red card impacted on them negatively I still believe that Liverpool would have won this game even without a red car to Tottenham. The truth is that Tottenham has not yet gotten it right as they are still struggling to maintain a stable form from the start of the season.

Liverpool has to manage the game properly so that they can get all three points from this game because three points from this game will be helpful to them, as they have been struggling too. But  games  this Saturday in the premier League is really tough because so far we have seen three draws.

Losing 1 goal with the advantage of the number of players clearly cannot be said to be good for Liverpool because even though they are quite good at possession because it is something they have to do but seeing from the attempted opportunities and shots in this match Tottenham is actually much better.

They still cannot be said to be solid now and I think this is not a good thing even though for now they can still be said to be improved compared to before but Liverpool still need a lot of improvement.

In other matches Leeds always surprised me in their last few matches.
After they managed to beat Manchester City, hold Liverpool's draw and beat Chelsea it seems that for now they are much more confident and the score for their match in today's match is beyond my prediction.

Leeds United are now 3 goals good over Crystal Palace, after losing to Manchester city in a game they played very well but today against Leeds United is different, crystal palace are playing like they have lost their heads.
Dominic Calvert is in form scoring two goals in the first half.
Leeds is probably going to be safe from relegation this season and if they keep pushing they may just be headed for something even bigger than trying to stay in the English premier league.

Arsenal is in the lead at the moment by a goal. Perhaps that should give the lads more motivation to push ahead to score more to secure their lead and ultimately win the game. As it stands now, anything could happen and Arsenal may come out of that game with a draw. Arsenal has had some good time with the ball and would likely hold on to victory. With Man city hot on their heels, they need all the points they can get.
I agree, they're serious this season after having finished second place for a couple of times now. They're getting better in their squad and are again, looking good enough to win the league this season.

This game isn't one Arsenal should gamble with even if they're stupid. Manchester City is already competing currently with their position at the top and sent them to the second position earlier today. If not for anything, they need this win to retain their first position and I see they're fighting for it judging from the match.

Chelsea surprised me earlier today and came back from 2 nil to draw the game with Newcastle. It was interesting watching such a comeback on a very determined Newcastle. Woltemade played really well today and scored a brace.

Among all the players that Liverpool signed last summer, i think Hugo Ekitike deserves some respect because he has been the only consistent player among the signings because in their last 3 Premier League games he has scored 5 goals and this season he has scored a total of 11 goals in all competition including the community shield whereas Alexander Isak has only scored 2 goals out of 14 appearances while Florian Wirtz is yet to score and these are players that cost Liverpool a lot to sign.

Sometimes with the purchase of expensive players does not guarantee anything there are often players who fail like this, maybe Wirtz has not found confidence playing at Liverpool because the competition there is tight with players as well as Isak where last season was on fire with Newcastle after going to Liverpool the game declined.
It does not rule out the possibility that next season they will be better and they had a bad first season, there is still hope to rise despite many criticizing them.

I know that some of those signings might do better next season but don't you think it is also important to have a good start. When Kylian Mbappe came to Madrid he was not able to score but after few matches he started performing excellently and even scored the highest goals in the La Liga so that is how an expensive signing needs to react and not to be no where to be found after the club signed them with a huge amount. I don't care if Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz performs better next season, if they can't commensurate their signing fee this season that means they were nothing but overhyped players in their former clubs. They should recreate what they did in their former clubs at Liverpool.

That's not true, it is obvious that the red card contribute to their losing and the funniest part is even with the red card Tottenham still possessed I never believed Liverpool could give them the chance to score 1 even with two man down that is to show that the red card really affect them. Had it mean they played with full squad Liverpool would have begged for wining today but the red card just make things very easy for them which they still struggled even with the red card and if not for the opportunities missed by Tottenham in the last minute this match would have likely end with draw.

Are you sure you really watched the game ? Because Liverpool dominated the game, and Tottenham scored from a set piece which can happen to anyone in Football game, it was a very strong game and Liverpool playing away was very tough for them, even after conceding that goal and getting a red card Tottenham tried to get into the game with a high intensity and a physicality game, they got Liverpool three players injured, Bradly, Isak, and Frimpong, they were playing a very bad football which lead to them getting sent off twice in that game.

Liverpool deserved to win the game, and it was good that they had to get all three points in the game today, they should keep this momentum going and they could actually a good reasonable point in this festive fixtures, just so you know most teams plays more better when they are a man down and they would obviously get motivated to try and prove a point.

Manchester City has finally top arsenal with 1 point. Hope history isn't repeating itself because it beginning to look that way. Arsenal has worked hard to win this title and it wouldn't be easy for Manchester City to come from behind and win it .Arsenal wouldn't break sweats to take their spot back from Manchester City. They only need to win this game to secure all 3 points. Arsenal would rather draw than losing all three points because that would give Manchester City more points ahead of them.

All the while Arsenal was on their streek and making I to the top of the table, I did said it at some point that I just hope this last long enough and it does not happen like last season, but now it is gradually looking like a repetition of the past seasons, I hope they quickly find a way to get back on track because  the league is about getting wvwn tougher than it has ever been in previous seasons.

Criticze Arsenal all you like it but at the end of the game three points is all that matters to these players with all honesty.
 As much as they can get consistent winning percent they will go on to winning the league.  As for Crystal Palace, I think it is another that time injuries and fatigues kck on completely. They had a disappointing Europa conference league competition fixture as they went on to draw with England one of the bestside. Nothing to say another Chelsea, the manager gambles a lot to win games

The match ended in a 3:1 in favour of the home team. After seeing the poor performance of Crystal Palace in their last game against a team that was incomplete it's nothing surprising to see them lose again today against Leeds United.
Arsenal match was the more important game because of their position that was at stake but they are happy after managing to grab 3 points to move back to the top of the table.

Not great from us, having to hang on for the win against 9 men but a win is a win. We are slowly creeping up the table and into the CL qualification places. The title is long gone, I am not not even getting involved in discussing that with regards to my team this season. That is an Arsenal and Man City conversation.

Aston Villa vs Man Utd should be a good watch for the neutrals tomorrow. I will definitely take some time to watch that one, a draw would suit me

With a single goal from Gyökeres, it doesn't matter, the important thing is that Arsenal can get 3 points,  I know that if this is the case then Arsenal will be under pressure especially seeing Manchester City continue to follow with a series of wins, Arsenal must be a little vigilant going forward because even a draw can affect it.
Going forward Arsenal's opponents will not be too difficult, I predict they can win because of the performance that is still solid until now.

The Leeds beating Crystal Palace game wasn’t surprising at all because I have actually noticed that Crystal Palace are usually poor against weaker opponents and look more composed or competitive against top opponents, maybe because Oliver Glasner actually sets its team up way more competitively against the top opponents and underrates the weaker opponents.

Newcastle against Chelsea is once again filled with Goals and Frankly speaking this way actually expected due to the fact both of them have actually been having a leaky defense of recent, for Chelsea it’s not a problem even though they are second in terms of clean sheet they still have very bad defense but Newcastle this season have been the surprise because they one of the most compact teams in defense I don’t understand them this season.

Arsenal And Manchester City have officially kick start the race for the league champions between themselves and I expect this to go all the way to the wire

Arteta needs to push his midfield and attacking lines to be more creative in creating chances, so that they can secure victories more comfortably.

Although close victory is important in provision of the much needed points, good finishing is essential towards the survival of this very competitive event. We find that the ability to perform consistently when facing pressure of our nearest competitors would require unending creativity by both players in the field.

Repeated failures in tactical considerations should indicate a serious assessment of the technical leadership position in case the key targets are made again. Our dedication to keep on improvement assists us to make sure that the ambitious targets of the club are still targeted.

They really need this 3 points as they want it too bad. They can not afford to drop points this period as we can see how Manchester City is perfectly chasing them behind, and if they make any mistakes by this time it will be too bad for the team to lack behind again. Well we can say, no matter how they seem to perform, the most important thing was that they got the win and also the 3 points. It was never an easy win for them. Arsenal has once again retain it spot at the top of the table again, leading Manchester City with 2 clear points. My only problem is, if they can continue to be the top team for a while before they will think to bottle it up. Well let's wait for some times to see if they are to retain the top spot.

From what I'm seeing now, should Arsenal be worried! because this Pep team is gradually gaining momentum week in week out, for some weeks now, they have been in excellent form. At least they have won 4 of their last matches and they are about to add this game to their list of wins. They are currently leading West Ham United 2 - 0 and with this score line they are above Arsenal with 1 point, although Arsenal has a game in hand tomorrow, which means the pressure will be shifted to them to deliver against Everton tomorrow.

If we look at Arsenal's trophy failures, their main problem has always been their inability to withstand pressure from their competitors. Last season, against Liverpool, and in the seasons before that, against Manchester City, Arsenal always started very convincingly, but when a rival started to apply pressure, Arsenal seemed to lack the mentality.

This season doesn't rule out a repeat of that, especially now that Manchester City has overtaken Arsenal at the top of the league, even though Arsenal hasn't played a single match against Everton, which they play tomorrow. However, Manchester City's victory over West Ham today will have an impact on Arsenal in tomorrow's match against Everton. If Arsenal fails to take full points against Everton tomorrow, I can predict that Arsenal will again fail to win a trophy this season.

True, it's only those that are not familiar with the way Arsenal has been in the title race over the years will actually fall for their tricks. Yes, they are on top, but the real question is, will they still be on top when it matters the most? It's not about staying on top at this stage but finishing on top. Over the years, Arsenal being at the top at this period of the season is not surprising that's why I have doubts about them even after they have had these players. I hope they break that jinks but I'm still not overruling history repeating itself on Arsenal. They have been fantastic but right now, they are only above Manchester City with just 2 points and this is supposed to be a struggling Manchester City ooo.
