That could happen, but at the moment it’s not only Liverpool who are rumored to be after Xabi. Manchester United have also been linked with the former Real Madrid coach. Looking at the bigger picture, Liverpool probably have a stronger chance of bringing Xabi Alonso in, but in the end it all depends on whether Liverpool are willing to take the risk of sacking Arne Slot and choosing Xabi instead.

He's part of the problem Manchester United has, remember he supported the Glaziers, never confronted them for making wrong decisions, agreed to hiring Woodward who was incompetent as executive vice chairman of the club, appointed his countryman David Moyes who wasn't close to the level of managing the club back then, didn't carry out any proper interview before appointment and lots more, Sir Alex Ferguson has his own share of the blame.

 It's obvious that Manchester United's problem is majorly cause of the incompetence of the board, selling 25% of shares and handling over the sporting aspect of the club to INEOS that's not got any good football record in all the football clubs they've handled is the worst thing the Glaziers did to Manchester United, you can see that they have no clear vision of how to handle the club and they'll continue to suffer for their poor decisions till they do the right thing.

It was clear from the start that Sir Alex Ferguson wasn't as good at management as he was as a manager, the difference between running the club, versus owning the club is different and SAF thought he could help running the club with Glaziers, be their on the field guy, but he wasn't great at that decision making, they acted as if he was the CEO, wasn't properly titled that but they did care about his opinion, until the bad results came. As a Liverpool fan I have been extremely disappointed this season. Winning the title last season and signing Isak, Ekitike, Wirtz and Frimpong I expected us to win it again this season or at the very least be right up there competing for it.

We have been very average for most of the season and the blame lies with Slot. I would not be disappointed if the owners sack Slot and bring Alonso in, especially as he is so familiar with Wirtz and Frimpong.

This absolutely begs the question why Liverpool suddenly tumbled into that significant temporary downtrend?

The started with furiously with 7 wins in a row and I can imagine how convinced you were that this is going to end with an easy trophy.   The came the loss against Crystal Palace, Galatasaray, Chelsea and Man United... And no need to mention how it went south from there for them. Now it is again looking bad with 3 draws in a row.

They can't find their best form. They score around 1.5 goals per game, which is nothing given what players they can bring on for their offense. And last but not least, they have conceded twice as many goals as Arsenal and that explains a lot. If they move on like this, they could end up conceding 50+ goals and that is not worthy of the championship. Too bad though as they are one of my favourite clubs because they are never arrogant like Real Madrid and understand fair play very well.

On the good side of things they still have all chances in the UCL. I hope they'll make it far in that competition.

Semenyo is very experienced in the premier league and it’s not surprising his finding good feet in the Pep’s Manchester City team. Seeing him in the starting lineup for someone that just joined shows his quality and he would do so well in Manchester City. He got goals in their Manchester City 10:1 Exeter victory and he got another one today, breaking the deadlock for Manchester City which is what Pep requires of him and his on it already.

Seriously, I don't really know what Manchester United  problem is, that they have been struggling with their form like this. It is not that Manchester United players are that bad, and even when they get what we consider the worst coach, they always bring in good and experienced coaches. But once they get to Manchester United, they always find it difficult to show how good they are.As for now, I don't know what kind of coach and players Manchester United will bring that will make the team go back to their great form of those days. What is surprising to me is that some of their players, who we always think are lost, when they get to another club, always do better.

Definitely we can tell that the problem in Manchester United is very complicated as we haven't still get to know what is actually the problem of the club. Selling off all the players won't be that necessary as most of those players are needed. To me I only ask what is exactly the problem of Manchester United as till now I haven't been able to tell what is the exact problem of the club. There are some point we might think the problem is the coach and whenever a new coach takes place we still see same problem. So are still say it is the coach problem or what exactly.

Semenyo gas already gotten used to the style of play Manchester City are playing and blending in immediately is a big win for him. He has played 2 games for City and he hasn't disappointed in any way and we could how he has been making those crazy runs to push defenders back like he used to at Bournemouth, bringing that same energy to City will improve his skills and also the contribution will be massive. Tonight's game, I wasn't pleased with how Newcastle played, they didn't play like they wanted to advance and now they lost by 2 goals which gave Manchester City an edge over them so how can they react?

Every team management will no what will harm their team. And that is why even the Xabi Alonso I didn’t place me because, there is many things they do consider, as for Arne slot, Liverpool will make sure they make good decisions about him whether sacking him or not.

but to me Arne slot have tried for Liverpool all this while, so the best thing is to wait and see, because I feel like getting in new manager right now at the stage of the competition, is going to draw things back since the new manager is coming with new tactics and strategy of he manage a team.

Man United has not improved, and the players' value has plummeted. But interestingly, when these players leave Old Trafford, they return to their best form and even become new stars at their new clubs.

I am really surprised how Semenyo have adapted easily to the team as if he has been with the club for a long time. It's a good thing though, when a player adapts fast it's a good thing, at least the team won't have to wonder whether they wasted money on signing him. With the performance Semenyo is showing right now I think to say the signing was a hit for the club unlike other players they spent money on. It's a good thing Manchester City added him, he will be of good help to them and I believe his partnership with Haaland would be nice. I thought the game would be more competitive but it is still not a bad thing, I expect to see more from them, I expect to see top performance from them.

Manchester United's acquisitions of star players haven't been very effective so far because a system and a balanced team are now more important. The players are kind of disconnected and this is a big issue, Liverpool had the same problem at some point in the season and this led to their setbacks. in the case of Manchester United some players needs to be changed, defense has been their biggest challenge this season. out of hundred percent of matches they played so far they have conceded in 80 percent out of all the games, this needs to be improved on

It's true that Manchester United is a very wealthy club and they have the money to sign players, but the problem is that, can these quality players agree to come and play for the club. There are some quality players that already have a standard of wanting to play in the champions league and once a club is not participating in it, they find it difficult to join such a club. Some other players wants where it is easy for them to go and win a trophy and when they check that the team is not a trophy candidate they will not join. Some players have a passion for some teams. So it's not just about having the money to buy quality players but do such a player wants to join the club. Talking about Manchester United and quality players, I will give an example, there was a certain period that Manchester United wanted to sign Frank De Jong from Barcelona, they did almost everything possible to convince him but he didn't want to leave Barcelona. The funny part is that Barcelona was even owing him salary and the same Barcelona wants him out buy all means because they too needed the money from his transfer. But in all that, he still refused to join Manchester United.

It was seen in the news today that Michael Carrick has taken over as the interim coach of Manchester, though he wasn't a bad player but I would want to see how far his management would last.

I saw a strong rumor, I don't know if it's just speculation, but apparently they're talking to Xabi Alonso about taking charge of this team. It wouldn't be a bad idea , I think Xabi's profile could adapt very well to this team Where there are few stars, and I think with a little more discipline, he could do a great job.

Antoine Semenyo is very good recruitment for Manchester City and the players easily adapting well in last two appearance by scoring two goals, Semenyo have played two games with Manchester City at FA Cup against Exeter City and last night scoring one goals against Newcastle United in the semifinal first leg match of EFL Cup. Not really difficult yet for Antoine Semenyo adapting well tactical from Pep Guardiola and right now Manchester City has many top players option for winger position.
