What going on?
Manchester United scored 2 goals and it was a surprise for the new coach who many doubted. Although the match is not over but if you look at the situation on the field it seems that the score will still be in favor of the host. This will be a great motivation for Manchester United after not being coached by Amorim.

I am more surprised by the strength of Man United's defense in this match. Man City even struggled to get shots on target. The disruption caused by Man United players to Man City players has been successful so far. Michael Carrick seems to have an effective way of utilizing the squad at MU. i didn't expect him to be this good.  He previously served as interim coach at Man United, but he wasn't this good back then.

Or is this just luck? But I don't think so. And well, I hope it's not.

What a beautiful counter attack from United on three to beat two. Donnarumma was unable to save this one after making two beautiful saves to deny United their goal Mbemuo put the ball to the last corner of ghe right hand side to find the back of the net and gave Donnarumma full stretch.

Mbeumo scored a wonderful goal in the 65 th minute of the match. Many considered manchester city as the favorites. This was normal. Because united's performance was irregular, but city was in good form. But derbies are always very exciting. We have to be ready to see any result. I avoided betting on the match. Most of the bettors have bet on city to win. City is probably going to lose. Even after conceding a goal, they are not able to attack  strongly. United's players had  9 shots, 6  of which were on target. On the other hand, city's players had only 6 shots  in total. They managed only one on target shot.

OH DAMN, its 2-0 now... Real madrid vs levante match is on half time break, so now I was watching united derby. And I saw 2 goals in a very short time. I am definitely lucky.

Mbeumo scored the first goal in the  65th minute of the match and dorgu scored in the  76th minute from a pass from cunha . manchester united are leading 2 - 0 after 80  minutes. They are not likely to drop points in this match. It is unlikely that city will score two goals in the last  10 minutes. They  are not able to mount any strong attack. Manchester city has gradually fallen behind in the title race...

I am still dumbfounded by this performance from Man United and just now, Amad almost made it 3 for United after an incredible run, am on edge because keeping Man City clean sheet is really wild, I think kicking out them Yoro and Heaven from the first team choice by Carrick was a spectacular one.

Honestly Manchester United just surprise everyone, my question now is that could we start to be afraid of Manchester United with the result of this match? Based on my own view this is football and anything can happen before this particular match most people don't have confidence in Manchester United because of what they played against wolves in the same venue. Manchester United did very well to defeat Manchester City despite their inconsistency but I don't believe in there wonderful performance, until i see one or two matches again with a very good performance then I'll finalize that man United has come back again.

The last goal was void and nullify by VAR because it was an offside. That was a good one touch finishing from Mount the last substitute for United but the goal didn't count. City performance was poor in this game with a weak attack. They only got one shot on target which was from a header on yhe 37th minutes of the game.

Honestly, I was marveled with United passes in this game. They played with full confidence despite that City dominated the game and won possession. I don't know why United was offside in the two goals they scored if not it should have been 1-0 by now. The second half will soon start, I believe that United coach must have observed some loopholes and fix it.

It was a surprise victory for Manchester United, very well that the new manager's tactics worked in this first game against a title contender. Manchester City were very much in control of the first half, i expected them to score during the time, unfortunately they didn't make good use of it.

If Arsenal win against Nottingham Forest, Manchester City have to take down their mind off the title, this is not how to win the Premier League, Arsenal has been the ones proven all this while that they deserve, but for some reasons we doubted them, only a win from Arsenal in the Nottingham Forest game is enough for us to see how the title race will end.

The Mason mount goal was canceled by VAR, I’m really disappointed in Manchester City performance in this game..I mean everyone thought they’ll win this derby but they didn’t even score a single goal and they didn’t even have a single shot on target. In this match, I personally did not favor any team before the game started. I just hoped that both teams would score goals. But I never expected that Man city would not even be able to make a single shot on target in this match. And well, this is like a hard slap in the face for the Man City squad and also for their coach, Pep.

However, let's see how Manchester united perform in upcoming matches. Will they be as good as they were in this match or will they revert to their usual form. which often involves more failures and a defense that's easily breached by opponents?

Wow Manchester United is actually giving me the shock of the month like I don't really believe they could hold Manchester City for this long this is really interesting like Manchester United is actually playing the unexpected they had two off side goals and they have more chance than Manchester City like this performance from them is really what I don't know where the motivation came from kudos to them it's really unbelievable and with the look of things Manchester United might win this game but I still get some speculations that says pool predicted it draw and am beginning to believe that with what I'm seeing.

You are meant to be surprised with Manchester United's performance against Manchester City because I could remember you were one of the people that believed Manchester City was the favorite to win the Manchester derby and Manchester United didn't have any chance of winning Manchester City, but I am so happy that Manchester United was able to prove you wrong by securing a comfortable 2-0 win against Manchester City.

This is the first time in 5 years that Man UTD have won the Manchester derby at home and I must say this is a fine away to break such a deadlock because not only did they dominate the game, they kept a clean sheet and City weren't able to register a shot on target which is in itself a big achievement. Man City haven't won any game in this new year and I don't know how to feel about this, even though their poor form is helping to eliminate any form of worry for the Gunners, but still, it would have been much preferable if City had been on their best level of play if eventually the Gunners go on to win the EPL.

After a long time, this derby has reached its peak again thanks to United's victory over City. This match was quite crazy in my opinion. Manchester United brought the tension back to the next derby with great passion after this victory. Who would have thought City couldn't score a single goal or even a shot on United's goal? This was a completely different Manchester United we saw today. I believe Ruben Amorim won't believe what he just saw Manchester United displayed. Manchester United played very well and I was very much impressed. It's been a long time I have seen a team displayed this dominantly against Manchester City. If Michael Carrick continues like this I believe Manchester United management should make his stay permanent.

This is the best performance I've seen from Manchester United in a very long time and as well as one of the worst performance of Manchester City. Man U was really the better side, their defense were tight and their counter attacks were very sharp and effective.

I'm particularly happy for Carrick, he announced his presence beautifully. I hope the beautiful display is maintained when they meet Arsenal in the next game. Man U is back on champions League race sitting 4th on the table. It was a beauty watching this game. Alex Ferguson couldn't contain his joy, he was smiling most part of the match, especially second half.

So City is finally out of the title race and into the fight for the top three   It's an unexpected turn of events, hardly anyone expected them to go on a run like this: three draws and a loss. On the contrary, I've heard a lot of talk about "City are back." But I think Pep is already finished, that was evident last season.

After I boasted about Manchester City, I don't even know what to say about this match because it is so disappointing. few seasons ago Manchester United won the same way. For some reasons City played in a weak manner and it is so disappointing that they couldn't even score a single goal. They are still occupying the second position for now but if Aston villa wins their match tomorrow they will overtake city

Arsenal will be playing against Nottingham Forrest, which is why it is not really that crazy to think that they are dealing with another week where they will get a win. Obviously there is no guarantee and anything could happen but I bet that they are going to win.

This is why they do not care about what happens at Manchester derby, that is not a game they care, even if City wins, that is not a game that they will care because their own game will be a win, so they are going to keep the gap going even if City wins. Arsenal has achieved a deeper depth this season which allows them to be not tired so easily at this part of the season and doing a very good job so far. They do not look like previous seasons, they look much better.
