Carrick isn't a horrible manager and should definitely manage some team somewhere, but at the same time we are talking about one of the biggest names in football at United, and they should always go for one of the biggest names as manager too. The fact that they haven't done that in a while is upsetting and disappointing.

Erik Ten Hag did alright at Eredevise and that's why they get him? Or Amorim does good at Portugal and they get him? Manchester United should be the type of team that chases the latest UCL winners, or managers that did great in big five leagues, like champions level of managers. The question now should be, how many big name managers are willing to handle a team like Manchester United, some seasons ago, the big names that they contacted gave the club management their own rules of no interference in their affairs when managing the team but the management refused just because they want to control what the manger does and as big coaches that they are, they need all the freedom that they can get in managing their team, not when they want to do something, order will come from the top to hinder it. Again, the club has tried several coaches from different places and no luck, so if you ask me, it's better they try one of their own, someone that has been in the system and knows the system from their playing days. Carrick should be given a chance to manager the team without interfering till the end of the season at least.

In this match I was actually hoping for a win for brighton. However, it seems that the result will be the opposite. as Bournemouth has managed to take a 1-goal lead since the first half through a penalty kick in the 32nd minute. However, seeing how Bournemouth is attacking and maintaining a solid defense. Brighton failed to convert the most of their chances in the first half, they had three shots on target and 0 goal, but can they improve in the second half and win the game? I don’t know if they can win this match because Bournemouth did not look like a team that has been selling their key players recently, they played well and had two shots on target in the first half.

Just because a team is playing at home and has a lower odd doesn't guarantee winning, I know the bookies are very careful with how they select the odds and the team with the higher advantage of winning is being given smaller odds but that means they are winning. Brighton against Bournemouth is a very tight game that's why the odds are like that and in games like this the home team is usually the strongest team so it's normal to favor Brighton. If Bournemouth are the home team then they will be the one to be favored.

Anything can happen in the game, Brighton can win or even lose or maybe draw because their strength is almost the same. The game ended in a draw but Brighton were still able to control the game and they were just unlucky else they would have win the game. It was not easy for both sides, the game was interesting and filled with moments. I didn't watch but I am sure the fans were excited and thrilled.

Definitely we know that the club has tried several coaches and luck had not been favorable with them. Looking at what you made mention concerning the offer they where giving to coaches, especially those big coaches, not to have their freedom on how they are going to manage the team is one of the problem of Manchester United and we can tell the club management system is the one that has been keeping management at some point. There is actually no top managers like that even remaining club football again just a period of new revolutionary managers coming through so right now Manchester United simply just do not have any other option other than trusting their new manager or they continue to actually change managers every two years.

For me Manchester United will definitely be in this mess as long as the Glazers still have the club in their hands, I wasn’t even expecting better than what is happening now even with INEOS in the picture because moreover what power do they have with Glazers having the chunk of decisions to make plus INEOS are like them which is they are only about the club making profit and nothing more

Brighton has been inconsistent lately and given their poor performance in the EPL it would be difficult to consider staking Brighton to beat Bournemouth. Brighton form is bad this season and Bournemouth can be hard to predict as they play better when they don't expect to. It was a difficult game to predict, people who staked the game as draw predicted accurately as the game ended as full time 1-1 draw between Brighton Vs Bournemouth. Brighton manage equalize the game from behind when C. Kostoulas scored in the 90 mins.

I didn't watch the match live, but I don't seem to get freaked out by the outcome when two teams under the 5th position compete. It's always more or less a draw, or a 1-0 win. My favourite thing about this game was Kostoulas goal for Brighton-- The patience, the balance and control, even in the midst of 3 defenders, the trajectory of the ball, the awe in Goalie's face as he gazes from the other end of the post, was just magnificent! Carrick did his first match with Manchester United well but a first match is not enough to say anything about his management quality for Manchester United. He will have to go through many matches in this season and we have to wait for his management results till the season ending before making any assessment on his coach capability. It's definitely have a good start is good for Carrick and I wish him the best journey with the club.

I believe that Pep Guardiola will leave Manchester City soon as he is proactively with his decision and after achieving success with a club, he will choose a right time for his departure. Manchester City surely are in its declining time and two latest seasons are enough for Pep Guardiola realizing that his best time with Manchester City gone, and as said with his smartness, he will leave the club soon.

However if he leaves Manchester City, will he join Manchester United?
I really believe he won't do that as Manchester United are in a worse situation than Manchester City and with his years in Premier League, Pep Guardiola should know very well about Manchester United and problems there. He is not a coach who is ready to step into fires and fix something so Manchester United will never be his choice.

Those were calculated moves. Even if Carrick fails to deliver for the rest of the season I think he still deserves his flowers. Defeating City with his current squad is not one achievement anyone shouldn't acknowledge. The club should consider extending a mini contract to him even if it's for just one season, they might be amazed at his achievement at the end. This shouldn't be called luck, if it was just a narrow win then we can say luck but two goals without conceding any isn't luck but a strategic approach that gave them their win

This is very true, because one game even if it resulted in a victory for Manchester United under Michael Carrick could certainly be a lucky break for Michael Carrick after being appointed as Manchester United manager to replace the previous manager, Amorim.

We will all see for the next few matches where the results will be discussed again regarding the performance of Man United because currently the playing pattern carried out by the players is a form of strategy implemented by Michael Carrick and in the Derby match it was clear that Man United players were a little more aggressive than the game played by Man City players so it is very natural for the host to win the match titled as the Manchester Derby. Yes, I also have the same thoughts as you, because basically in the last few matches under Carrick's coaching, Manchester United has been able to win continuously, including when facing a strong team like Manchester City. So, for that reason, I think it's enough to prove that Carrick is indeed worthy of being given a new contract by Manchester United. But strangely, until now there is still no certainty about this, and I also don't know for sure why. Because it could be that Manchester United wants to measure Carrick's coaching ability until the end of this season.

So if Carrick is able to bring Manchester United to a good finish, maybe he will get a new contract with this team. But another possibility is that Manchester United may have been eyeing another coach who might be brought in after this season is over, like Xabi. Because currently, as far as I know, Xabi is not coaching any team, and I think it's quite reasonable if Manchester United is interested in being able to bring Xabi. Because Xabi is clearly a competent coach and can most likely make Manchester United a formidable team again. But even so, this is just a possibility, and the truth is, we don't know. I totally disagree if anyone says Manchester United won by luck, I guess we might never know except they’re given another opportunity to play against another big club as mentioned Arsenal. Manchester United actually merited all three points firstly they played like never before and from my perspective it might be as a result of new management or not but, if they continue with this present form definitely Manchester United will be among the top 5. Manchester City's defeat by Manchester United has certainly led many people to call for Carrick to be made permanent manager of Manchester United. However, we don't really know whether Carrick can be relied upon in the long term because, although he is currently doing a good job of managing Manchester United, we don't know whether he will always be good at making strategies.

I think Carrick is a very good coach and should be the job at Manchester United. I watched the game between Manchester united and Manchester city and I can see the improvement in the team, and also did very well in his first time at Manchester United,  so I wonder why they are still looking for a new manager. I think Manchester United should stick with Michael Carrick and hopefully he might take the team to the next level,  because in his first match I could see the old Manchester United playing its counter attacking football that they are known to play. I think they need to give him time to implement his tactics and I can see him doing better at Manchester united.

Brighton is one of the renowned teams in the premier league. But their performance has been erratic since the beginning of this season. The team's position in the point table is still 12th. But brighton is trying to bring stability to the performance.

Brighton is undefeated in the last  5 matches. They won against manchester united in the FA cup match. They were also able to share points against Bournemouth. But there is no way to deny that they were very lucky. They were able to score after 90 minutes. On the other hand, bournemouth also scored their only  goal from a penalty. But brighton performed quite well in this match.
