In my opinion, the improvement experienced by MU cannot be used as something that can provide consecutive surprises when facing stronger teams. Even though they managed to beat Manchester City, that doesn't mean they were able to beat Arsenal, who are currently in really good form. If we want to remember before, when MU brought in a new coach, they usually always won and this is not the first time. For now I don't believe MU is able to continue its positive trend and I still believe Arsenal will win.

Yes I myself I am placing Manchester United performance as a new manager bounce and would definitely like to see how they will fair against a proper side like Arsenal and most importantly from beyond that game because even under the past managers the problem of Manchester United was actually consistency. In fact I can say that for me Manchester United going ahead to have a great game against Arsenal would still not satisfy me or convenience me that they are actually back in form and playing well because even under the past managers they were brilliant in big games and could go to any top side and pick up points.

What the club has actually lacked is consistency when playing against bottom clubs because if you look at this season stats alone they have dropped points to lower ranked clubs most especially relegation threatened ones than the top clubs in the league and that’s why they are simply just down outside the champions league place. The points from the lower ranked clubs are very well important too and until their is consistency playing against them I think I will actually not be convinced yet

Arsenal should first of all lift one trophy before you should say that Arsenal is coming for everything. Arsenal topping the Premier League table and being the favourite isn't a guarantee that the Premier League title belongs to Arsenal this season. There are a lot of matches remaining for the Premier League season to come to an end, so they to remain consistent in winning their remaining matches if they want to become the Premier League champions this season.

I get your point totally, everyone believes Arsenal is unstoppable this season but I also don't agree although they are the most in form currently in Europe and in the premier league so with this form it's difficult to say they won't win anything. We have to wait till they win it before celebrating but I think they have high chances of winning it because there is no serious contender. But I can't say the same thing for the champions league, that competition is so difficult especially when it gets to knock out stages so I can't say they are winning it.

No team is better. The Premier League is somehow certain if they maintain this performance till the end but I can't say the same for the champions league.

Something interesting happened in yesterday's Brighton vs. Bournemouth match. Amine Adli was initially given a yellow card by the referee for diving, but VAR intervened, ruled it a penalty, and overturned his yellow card. This is the third time Adli has experienced this situation at such a young age. Both times, he was given a yellow card by the referee, then the VAR overturned it, resulting in a penalty. Brighton managed to equalize in the 90+5th minute, securing a point.

When Var is put into good use as it happened in that Brighton match people won't complain about Var that much. I watched that match and I saw that incident, to me that was a clear penalty, but how the referee concluded that it was diving and gave the player yellow card was surprising to me, but I was happy Var intervened and the right thing was made. The referee was there he saw everything but was wrong with his initial decision. When Var is used to make the right decisions in football, it makes you appreciate the invention. But sometimes Var can be very disappointing.

Ever since VAR came into the game, there have been one controversy or the other, where the rules is always interpreted in a different manner, there is always going to be inconsistency and human error when it comes to officiating football games and VAR wouldn’t be 100% correct with some certain decisions, but like FIFA have said that players should always respect the decisions of the referee, Clubs would have no choice but to accept whatever decisions that is gotten from the VAR, all what you can do as a club when a decision goes against you is just have to file for review of referee decisions and nothing more can be done about the decision.

But I was very disappointed and surprised when I saw in a certain game that a Manager tells his players to leave the pitch because he feels that a decision have gone against them, things like this are quite unpredictable and things like this would destroy and damage football, and this alone have given African a bad name in the world.

Amorim was doing fine too, they didn't need to fire him, he could have finished fifth too and wasn't really doing badly, that dude is the reason why they are this up, if they finish fourth and go to UCL then I would say it got better, but if not and it's fifth or worse, then no need to fire Amorim.

Consistency in league games means the act of finding a way to win your game, regardless of the playing style, weather conditions, officiating, and home or away influence. If the worst happens, let it end in a draw game. Arsenal has only lost 2 games in all competitions. They are likely the only consistent team we see in all of Europe. Any football fan who still discriminate their effort is only a sentimental fan. If it were Pep Guardiola on this form, we both know what the world will think of him. In the end, results matter.

However, we still can't accurately gauge Manchester United's performance,, as even though a win against Manchester City was a significant achievement for Manchester United, we shouldn't be too happy with just one result.

There is no doubt that Arsenal are in very good form. Arsenal are at the  top of the table in both the champions league and the premier league. But even then it is not possible to guarantee that arsenal will win these two titles.

Arsenal have been in good form in the past few seasons. But they have not been able to win the title because they have not  been able to maintain a consistent  performance throughout the season. If arsenal fail to continue their good  performance this season, then they will not be able to win the title. If they want  to win the title, they must play  consistently until the end of the season.

You have raised an important point. Manchester United do not have a busy schedule. Teams like City, Arsenal, Liverpool are performing on 2/3 platforms. So the chances of players getting injured are also high. But Manchester United are playing only in the Premier League. So it is comparatively easier for them to maintain a stable performance now.

Manchester United's squad is quite strong. They can play well against big teams. But their problem is not being able to maintain consistency. Interim coach Carrick is doing quite well. But it is not sure whether he can maintain consistency in United's overall performance in the long term.

However, they've been performing far below their usual quality standards lately. The Champions League defeat was a complete disappointment, as they lost to a much weaker team without putting up a fight. Considering the Manchester United loss as well, they urgently need to raise their level to win the Premier League this year. That victory in a Manchester derby match is amazing for Manchester United especiallly when they began that match as a weaker team. That win is motivational for their improvement in the future but they must know that only the derby win won't help them reaching to top four of Premier League. It's still a very competitive fighting against other strong and ambitious clubs so after the derby win, Manchester United must return to their training sessions, focus on next matches in order to collect as most points as possible.

The ending rank in this season in top four or beyond top four will be decided by results of remaining matches in this season. They won't get a position in top four if living with the derby win feeling and play badly in remaining matches.

Manchester United are now just one point behind Liverpool. Their win against Manchester City showed, in my opinion, that they can beat any team. I'm not very optimistic about their away game against Arsenal next week because Arsenal are very strong, but I still think Manchester United have a considerable chance of finishing in the top four. If they can win against Arsenal, they will move up a significant position in the Champions League qualification zone. Their biggest advantage this year is that they won't be competing in European tournaments, so they'll be less fatigued.

I agree with you honestly. Consistency is the key to any successful outing for any club out there and I think even some coach have issues when it comes to building such powerful consistent team for a long time and I think this is the advantage some coaches have over the others and this is why some of the coaches thrive more than the others. With such being said, Arsenal has seriously learn to be consistent this season and there are high chances they would win the titles. The 7 points gap already existing between the first position which is held by Arsenal and the second position held by Manchester City is serious gap and if Arsenal can secure the game between them and Man U which I am totally sure it's possible then Arsenal will be another 3 points ahead and I'm sure the fans will be crying out of joy to see such 10 points gap and the next three or 4 matches after then are going to be even less challenging to the club, more like a walkover if they should win over the Manchester United.

man united is indeed very clever in taking advantage of opportunities and coincidentally city's performance is not good, man united should be able to perform well in the upcoming match If for example man united really improves its performance. but if in the match against city man united did not have much possession of the ball and that is a sign that sometimes it is just a coincidence even though they win because usually if a team does not have much possession of the ball and wins sometimes in the upcoming match they could lose because in the previous match they could win just by chance. but I hope my guess is wrong because I want to see man united perform consistently well and I also want to see man united in the next match can win against Arsenal and even if the draw is a good achievement in my opinion.
