Not likely. Arsenal’s fixtures are more harder than Manchester City’s, plus they also have to play City at the Etihad.  That’s 3 points lost already. Arsenal also has Tottenham at home. Tottenham may be shit but they play their best when they are up against Arsenal. Chelsea are also not easy opponents, they are on a good run and may possibly take a point from that game.

You are very right because we all think that Manchester city have an advantage but because of how unstable they have become have affected the advantage we think they have and am not that bothered because I already know how they have been unstable and Arsenal seems to be more committed to league than Manchester City in fact I see a lot of questions like what have changed I know that nothing have changed but is just times and it can happen to any club this is football and it's a game nothing is assured that is the fun of it, so it's just like you can not predict the future.

What is the step that Manchester city is taking towards making change because even if we don't win this season what are the plans that pep is making towards the next season because to me it's getting late gradually and let's give arsenal the privilege of winning this season because when we come back in form I know how unstoppable we can be, everyone should enjoy this season next season we are coming back stronger.

Can't say much about this game but I know brentford would cause problems for arsenal to but can they get a win at home is something I’m not very sure about.

Every game is a match of its own, and every time Arsenal must give their all to win and maintain their top spot in the Premier League. Obviously, they have to do it this way, as true leaders do, thinking one game at a time without going too far. Every match in the EPL is tough.

The match ended in draw, and seriously with the way many people gave Brentford hope of winning this match, you will think Brentford is going to win this match easily. But Arsenal did everything possible to see that they win but unfortunately they ended the game in draw.

Which is still not bad, as it is now Arsenal won’t afford to loose any match, because their current point need to be more than what is it now, to give Manchester City more gaps on the table.

We have been seeing Arsenal's unstable performance for quite  some time now. Day by day their performance is deteriorating. If they played well against brentford, they  would have won. But Arsenal's attacking performance was poor. They can't create many chances either. As a result, they managed to score only 1 goal in the match.

Arteta should  change arsenal's match tactics in the next matches. Arsenal's squad is strong. They should play more aggressive and attacking tactics. Arsenal could not score more than one goal due to slow gameplay against brentford.

Brentford were in very  good form. In their last two matches they have beaten two strong  teams like aston villa and newcastle. These two were one of the strongest teams in the premier league. And as usual they played well against arsenal.

But arsenal's loss of points in this match is entirely their fault. Arsenal performed very badly. If Arsenal had played well, they could have won. Looking at arsenal's performance, I think they  would probably be happy  if they could have drawn the match.

The performance of the team Brentford is really very impressive and they are going too well. And they just improved a lot and we can make an idea of their improvements by seeing their performances. How good they are that they managed to make a win against the strongest teams in their previous matches. Arsenal also got defeated and I think in this defeat of Arsenal the team is responsible for their failure because if they try or struggle they can make this match by their side. Because Arsenal is not between the weak teams or not they are not good in performing well. So they should try to avoid such a situation in which they failed to defend themselves as the strong team. And may the Brentford team have brilliant skills as they meet success against other teams which is in strength.

Next weekend games will be very decisive when it comes to deciding how the table will go because, next week both city and Arsenal has tough games coming up, Manchester City will be playing host to Newcastle United at home in a game that will be tough for Manchester City to win. This is because Newcastle is one team that is a top side and will not like to lose this game the only edge I see that city has is the home advantage but I win for city should put more pressure on Arsenal depending on how the Arsenal game will go.



At this point of the season Arsenal can't afford to be dropping points so I expect that they should win Tottenham next week at away. I was not too impressed about the Arsenal performance against Bradford so against a struggling Tottenham team Arsenal should try and get all three points. Arsenal are truly poor. They only have one strategy pass the ball out wide, cross and hope for a goal which is less than convincing. Arteta doesn't have many options when his team is stuck, so I'm pessimistic about Arsenal winning the league with that style of play. Especially considering the upcoming schedule, Arsenal will face tough opponents after Wolves, Tottenham, Chelsea and Brighton.

I fear Arsenal will experience the same thing as previous seasons where they only finished second. The signs are there: a few weeks ago they were 9 points ahead, then 7, then 6, now 4, and soon to be 1 point, only to be overtaken by Man City. While City got better with additions like Semenyo and Guehi, Arsenal just watched them and thought that they were good enough and didn't had any additions. I expected Arsenal to drop points here and there, because at the top position it's very hard to go on a winning streak since everyone is aiming to get points from you.

After that horrible United display, which became not an issue because City lost too, now Arsenal has dropped points against Brentford as well. If somehow they managed to lose the title this season, Arteta will definitely be gone because it would make it four years in a row second place and that is not acceptable. I know there are still four points in difference but Arsenal has to be very careful in the following games.

Yes, that's right. I personally had also considered that scenario and I posted about it in this thread. namely that arsenal could suffer the same fate as Chelsea, who were held to a draw by their opponents. Unfortunately, I believed that Arsenal would win the match. I even thought that both teams would score, but at that time I didn't dare to choose them and I really regret that.

And yes, Arsenal has a fairly long winning streak this season. And it's true that occasionally not winning and only getting a draw is normal and not surprising. However, it's still disappointing because the point difference with Manchester City is really getting smaller.

And the fact that this week's match is the north London derby, puts even more pressure on Arsenal to get a win, this will be the moment where Man City can get closer to Arsenal position if they beat Newcastle and Arsenal have an unlucky day at Spurs. I wonder what Arteta will do to relieve the pressure and make them give Man City another gap. I also expect that the winner will be decided when they face each other, but to get there Arsenal have some tough matches while Man City will pass through a fairly easy hurdle. With no doubt I think it's almost the time Arsenal starts showing weakness in the English premier League because what was that performance for yesterday night? Like isn't it a game they should be using to gain more points? Manchester City keep closing points after Arsenal playing draw with Brentford and now has 4 points left behind on the current standings awhile, must be careful for Arsenal if loss points upcoming match later and has consistent performance of Man City just waiting the moment only return back to top position. Manchester City has good experienced as last several season winning the premier league, success back to winning trend performance after second half middle season.

I tried reading across all replies, but I think I will go with yours. Despite the fact that Arsenal has had a 4 points gap a couple of times, it seems to be something new for some people. I watched that game yesterday, and I guess my initial opinion about the premier league is very correct, which is "The premier league has become far more tougher". A lot of people still thinks that the premier league is the same, where the best team just dominates and win every every crucial games that gives them the title. That literally ended last season. Since this season, A lot of teams has settled for what we called the "Haram football". They just want to play the low block and hit you on a counter.

And as for that Arsenal game yesterday, Brentford were just the better side. Arsenal failing to capitalize on good chances that they had came back to hunt them in the game. At this point, it's still 4 points clear. We've seen this before, which means there is a possibility to return back to a 6 or 7 points clear, or for the worse to happen. Arsenal's next game is against Wolves, while City's next game is against Newcastle. If you ask me, i think Arsenal is the favorite to get all 3 points, but like I said, the premier league has gotten tougher. Still too early to conclude because no team has been perfect, but it still doesn't change any facts that they're still the favorite.
