You people will be shouting England, England every time just look at what's happening to them. When I say English teams are mostly mediocre teams many people will argue and claim it's the best league. It's only the best in the domestic league and always gets tossed around when they get to play in the European stage, it's mostly Chelsea that doesn't get tossed around, to me, they are the only English team that fights to the finish in recent years. Some people still doesn't realise that group stage is way different from Knock stage and that's why I don't take teams seriously in the group stages. Just qualify and start seeing real football.

Honestly speaking, the hype around the EPL teams are just loud, it's nice to see people actually refocus there thoughts after this first leg fixture, I know people will say " it's just the first leg" but the result doesn't show the dominance they claim to have.

Chelsea should not be excluded from the conversation because they too are trailing against PSG, what stood them out was the club world cup.

We previously thought that winning the English league had a greater chance because in the preliminary round, 4 clubs from the English league had entered the play-offs without having to qualify again, therefore such speculations continued to emerge while from other leagues it was not like that, but what we have to accept is the current situation where the English league representative clubs are not really capable when facing directly against teams they deserve to face, even Arsenal, who was expected to be the champion this season, was held to a draw by Leverkusen.

It's not the first time that they are where they are right now and this is what most here are talking about. It is not the early or mid season when they usually fall apart, it is more like the last 6 - 7 weeks. Manchester City is doing what they are well known for towards the end of the season. They keep winning and Arsenal can't build a gap and then pressure overwhelms them and they make this one crucial mistake that Manchester City has been waiting for.

This time though Manchester City gave away 2 important points and that makes a small difference by now. It's 4 points if Manchester City wins the match they have in hand, but now the really challenging weeks begin with those UCL matches and FA Cup. It's either nonstop winning or trophies are immediately at risk.

Yeah, but at the same time I still feel it might be different probably because of the inconsistency of Manchester City, just lat match were they were supposed to keep up the pressure but ended up playing draw and Arsenal on the other hand won. Although, I really blame Arsenal for having this pressure on them and it might cost the league. The other teams that were supposed to keep up the pressure were all out of form this season, Liverpool who started off well fell after a month or 2 into the season and has since been a shadow of themselves. Manchester City still continued from where they stopped last season, Chelsea and Manchester United were all off leaving only Arsenal with a mad form of which they should have taken advantage of a lead the table with 12 - 15 points clear but here we are with less than 6 points difference which is not sustainable for a team like Arsenal at this point of the season.

That is what it all could come down to, Arsenal finally wins the trophy mainly because all of their so called fiercest competitors did not compete as fiercely as they usually do. No pressure from Liverpool, none from Chelsea or Newcastle or whoever. I am still not sure yet whether Arsenall will finally make it happen because there is still that EPL game on April 14 when Manchester City plays against the at home. If they win it, it would still be 5 games to go assuming that nothing changes until then and both teams win their games, but I don't believe that is how it goes.

Both teams have signs of weakness every now and then and whether you take the UCL as an example with Mancheste City getting bashed by Real Madrid or Arsenal, they played a terrible game. They got lucky with that penalty because otherwise they had rarely any chance and could have conceded another goal instead. It is close and I hope it stays like that because that is what makes the EPL the best league.

Embarassing as always. 6 candidates went to round of 16, but there's a chance all of them to be knocked out. idk what's wrong with them when it comes to the UCL like they have no preparation after they took such a long time break.
Logically, more candidates, greatest chance to win the trophy, but it's always went the opposite. At this point, i think EPL teams are getting cursed. They have no consistency when it comes to the UCL performance. They always disappoint as always.

You are right that Bayer leverkusen played very seriously. There is  no doubt about that. They performed incredibly well. But it is  really difficult to accept such a bad performance from Arsenal.

Arsenal won all  8 matches in the champions league. And in every match they performed well and secured victory. And that is why the fans had high expectations from them. The team  completely failed to meet expectations. They could not win the match but they could  not perform well either. They scored the only  goal of the match from  the penalty spot.

The second leg  match is arsenal's home match. Arsenal may win at home and qualify for the quarter-finals . But they are not in the safe zone. If  they make any mistake in  the second leg, they will be eliminated from the champions league.

Arsenal have been playing so great in the champions league and I have seen them play superb in the premier league also. Yes,, Arsenal is just a short way from becoming Premier League champions. We all know the season is nearing its end. Therefore, Arsenal simply needs to maintain consistent performance. Their rivals, Manchester City, also seem to be at their peak, and Manchester City are already struggling to catch up with Arsenal. Therefore,, Arsenal must be even more enthusiastic now. If they aren't, their efforts will certainly be in vain.

And speaking of the Champions League,, Arsenal could only manage a draw against Leverkusen last night, and I think that's clearly not a good result. The second leg will certainly be quite difficult for Arsenal to win. So,, with this in mind, Arteta must clearly improve his squad to improve. I've noticed Arsenal are sometimes blunt in attack and a bit sloppy in defense. I also don't understand what happened to Arsenal in this match,, because they initially looked very confident that they could beat Leverkusen easily, but in reality, Arsenal almost lost this match. So this really doesn't seem like the Arsenal I've known so far. Because, Arsenal usually always performs quite well when facing ordinary teams like Leverkusen,, but in this match Arsenal looked less confident. So with that, Arsenal's performance is less good.

That's why,, honestly, I'm quite worried about the second leg too, because if Arsenal plays like this in the second leg, it could be difficult for Arsenal to win again. So that's why Arsenal needs to play more pressing in the upcoming second leg. Because I think that's an effective way to overwhelm the Leverkusen players and not have time to plan attacks. 6 Premier League teams qualified for the Round of 16. But  the sad thing is that none of the Premier League teams could win the first leg match. I understand that arsenal has always been performing well before now and it is also expected that they maintain the same pace even at their last match, but if you are going to go back on history and how they have been consistent in some of their matches in the past, we can see that the moment you begin to overrate or depend on Arsenal for their performance, then they come out to act the opposite way in their match, very difficult to see their consistency last for long, but still yet, they play along and perform well beyond one could expect in some occasions.

Arsenal team is performing very well this season, but they have given the most importance to the Premier League. Because they still have enough opportunities this season and are occupying the top position of the point table by a large margin. I considered Manchester City team as a threat in the Premier League but Manchester City team is very weak at the moment, it will never be possible to leave Arsenal team behind with their aggressive performance. So undoubtedly Arsenal team is known as the best team and the best performing team this season.

Surely, we all thought it was gonna an easy win for Arsenal, but we saw a complete opposite of what we thought earlier before the game. Arsenal were so bad, Beyern Leverkusen was so determined, concentrated and focused, there defence playing well and we'll structured to avoid easy pass.

But sincerely, everyday Arsenal is depleting in each match. They play more bad in each match. No attempts, no corner, no pressure, just passing all around the field, and you can't really win a game with that style of play. Unless they play better at Emirates, then they may not win. I've always said that no club should be underestimated by any clubs or speculators, Arsenal almost lost that match yesterday. Well, I didn't expect less, because they are not of the same league, though Leverkusen might be facing the issue of its own, that doesn't mean it is so weak. Even if they are more determined in the defense, they would have gone away with the winning. I just don't know why they allowed Havertz score the equalizer, otherwise, Arsenal would have lost. The second leg would have been more difficult for them to win.
