Carrick proved to be a very good manager, and we saw that when he was given the opportunity. Manchester United reached a completely different level under him. They beat every team and climbed to third place in the league after Amorim left. I think the management's most successful decision was the manager. We all witnessed how a manager can elevate a team to a higher level.

Maybe it is still too early to say he is a very good manager for Manchester United. I will like to see him handle the team for a whole season when they get into the Champions League, and have that to play alongside the other competitions in England. I feel a reason he has been successful in Manchester United is because his job has been straightforward which is to help the team finish top four, and it has been easier to do as Manchester United have their players well rested as they are only in the Premier League.

Am still very much shocked to the wonders that Carrick has done with this club

That's normal for teams in the Premier League because of the very tight competition, for this season the Premier League only has 4 tickets for the Champions League so one of Liverpool and Chelsea must lose the opportunity, it's different from last season when they had 5 UCL tickets. For Aston Villa as I said before, I think this season they will finish outside the top 4 especially since their performance has been very bad lately which means opening up the opportunity for Liverpool or Chelsea to take over. The current spotlight is on Tottenham, who are experiencing poor performance and are even approaching the relegation zone, luckily they were able to draw against Liverpool.

Arsenal and Man City have secured there position for UCL but for third and forth spot the contest is still very much open between United, Villa, Liverpool and Chelsea.

You might be right when you said Arsenal have secured their position for UCL I think Arsenal's case is almost certain even though they didn't win the premier league but there's every possiblity that they would make it to champions league next season, but I doubt if any team will come from behind to take the premier league title from them.

As for Manchester city if they are not consistent they might get kicked out from that position they are, Well with the current performance of Manchester united I don't think if they can easily get kicked out from the third position if care is not taken they might even qualify in second position.

The UCL qualification for Arsenal is as safe as it could get. Anyone doubting that they could still lose their spot in the UCL is insane. They have 21 points more than Liverpool and there are 8 matches to go for Liverpool and there are probably matches between those teams at the top, taking points from each other. I assume it is mathematically safe that they are a UCL participant next season.

This season it will all be about the EPL victory. The UCL is as important because of the prestige of the competition, but the time of suffering from not winning any national trophy has been long lasting and intense and I believe the EPL title has priority. It is especially because Arsenal threw away their advantages several times in the last years. 9 points more than Manchester City while Manchester City has one more match to play, but still, if they throw this chance away, I don't know what advantage they would need to finally win the league. It would be the worst of the worst possible outcomes if Arteta ends this season with empty hands. I think the fans would go nuts.

Since the lost of Aston villa to Manchester United,  I have seen alot of  people criticising Manchester United's level of consistency and even in doubt if they will maintain such performance till the end of the season just to secure or cement there position in the champions league next season. On that, I will say the sorrowful days of Manchester United is over and victory is the next level they are in now and dropping form will be very difficult now they are on a mission to were the champions league ticket for next champions league tournament. From the performance in there last game we can say the United played with determination and focus of achieving something which was why they did brilliantly well at last.

If next seasons performance could be predicted now I will say Manchester united will do excellently well in the Champions League next season and may even go home with something if they can continue with such spirit.

I'm trying to understand. After a home win against Aston villa, there are people that are criticizing Man united consistency and are in doubt if they can maintain the level of performance they've got running for them till the end of the season.. In my opinion, Man united would finish strong this season and would secure a spot in the champions league next season. Their performance has obviously changed for the better and looking at them now, I can only hope that if they can improve on this performance next season, they'll be a team other clubs would cautiously play against and a strong contender for the epl title. Carrick has helped lift the club out from a series of poor performance. It's clear he knows his onions and how to bring out the best in his players.

Last time five teams from English premier league qualified for UCL and thats because EPL earned "European Performance Spot" that allowed an extra team to qualify for UCL. From ongoing season, only 4 teams will qualify for UCL and it be interesting to see which two teams apart from Arsenal and City will qualify for UCL.

Manchester City has not been performing well; while Manchester United is performing great to the extent that they are closer to Manchester City than the way Manchester City is close to Arsenal which makes even the second position draggable with Manchester City because Manchester United is in good form, they can win every team since they are able to defeat Arsenal and Manchester City all in a row in this returning leg.

Nevertheless, I think the fourth position and the fifth position are the two positions available to fight for because Manchester United has already occupied the third position, while fourth and fifth positions are being dragged by Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and any other team available to compete.

But it is undeniable that compared to the previous Amorim Era, Carrick is currently performing better even though his coaching experience is still minimal but he is quite capable of making real changes to the current squad.

It's just that to say this is the best at the moment is not the time because we need to see the end of the season and if he is still trusted as a coach next season we have to see how the breakthrough he made to make his squad remain as good as it is now.

Some changes are bound to be made especially now that it is certain that at least Casemiro will leave at the end of this season.  This could be another proof for Carrick whether he can get through this in the new season especially since we know with the scheme that Carrick has now Casemiro's role is quite vital as a reinforcement of the defense especially Casemiro also seemed to get a new strength where the increase in performance was felt when Manchester United was coached by Carrick.

Manchester United started quite late else they would have been talking about winning the league and nothing just fighting for a spot at the champions league which they have already gotten. They have done so well for themselves and I want to see if they can sustain this momentum from next season.

I don't really think that Wolves have any possibility of escaping the relegation zone because they only have 7 matches to play which means that their chances are very little so all these strengths they're just showing now is meaningless.

With eight matches remaining in the league, Manchester United will do whatever it takes to maintain their current position. Coming from so far behind and securing a Champions League spot is a huge achievement. Carrick and his team undoubtedly deserve the credit for this. Since taking charge, they have brought Manchester United spectacular success, leading them to victories against top teams. There's no doubt Manchester United will be in a good position next year.

What the Manchester United fans and management wanted was ja good results in all games to ensure the United get a ticket to the UCL next season and it's obvious that Micheal Carrick is making the job look simple but still we can't judge his quality with this interim position he's with the club, right now he's not facing that pressure of an actual manager because at Manchester United things are always different with being the manager and an interim..

The strength they show is not meaningless. Also know that Wolves actually made some changes, from the management to the manager. The fate of wolves is just like that of Manchester United. Assuming Wolves hired their manager a little earlier, they would have escaped the relegation. Likewise, assuming Manchester United sacked Amorim earlier and employed Carrick, they would have won the English Premier league title of this season.

However, for wolves, if they are relegated at last, this their brilliant performance will give them the confidence to fight and return to EPL the next season. It is better to relegate as fighting heroes than to relegate as dead dogs.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United have earned their place in the UEFEA Champions League next season. This is the kind clubs we want to see competing in the UCL next season. This is no longer the time to relent and only the best will always come out flying. The other elite teams will have everything to fight for because none of them would want to miss out on UCL next season.

It will be a big slap on the faces of these elite teams that they didn't make it out in time to play UCL games. Actually no effort wasted because they might want to continue with same energy next season so in order to achieve that goal they need to activate now. Let’s hope they maintain same energy as time goes the team will balance back because the performance played today was not an easy one, it’s difficult for a team to equalize after so many pressure displayed by Brentford. As a matter of fact Brentford played really well during the first half yet Wolves managed to play so well too, I watched the first half and I can easily tell Wolves is not so weak as many think probably the team just needs a good structure.

All thanks to Michael carrick for making all prayers and wishes come to pass after some years of suffering  and starvation at least now we will have the experience of European football again.   One thing that marvels me about there performance is how they display even if the are some goals down,  the United that easily lose hope after conceding goals but now even if they are some goals down they will still relentlessly display there tentacles until they equalize and even lead which is a great sign that only exists in the life of winners.
One thing I have seen in them now is if they find themselves in the champions league next season,  coming home empty handed won't be easy for them because they most definitely bag something next season.

Soon enough, Tottenham would be in that stage if they do not ammend their errors and work towards gathering points and not losing every single game. They have conceded more red cards than any team in the Premier league this season which is quite unimpressive. It would be a shame that the Europa League Champions of last season are soon to be relegation this season.

Wolves tried their best as they tried to stage a comeback in this match in the second half. But they could not get the crucial winning goal to go home with all three points. Unfortunately with the current standings on the table Wolves will be relegated to the championship as the sit bottom of the league. One thing with these small teams is when they get promoted to the premier League they go to the market and buy all sorts of players, and this has not helped the small teams. As most of the players that are brought in don't help them to secure the drop to the championship.


The quality of wolves this season has been very poor especially at the first half of the season, were they were not even able to win a single game for a long time in the league. Maybe they have to rebuild and try to come back to the premiership next time. Nice performance from wolves but that is not good enough to sustain them in the premier League.

If Wolves started the season with the current form they ate currently on, I don't think they would've been struggling to survive in the English Premier League this season. The reason they're still where they are now is because they started very poor and regardless of how much they try to redeem themselves, I honestly think that they'll be relegated. For Tottenham Hotspur, I see them avoiding relegation.
