Maybe it is still too early to say he is a very good manager for Manchester United. I will like to see him handle the team for a whole season when they get into the Champions League, and have that to play alongside the other competitions in England. I feel a reason he has been successful in Manchester United is because his job has been straightforward which is to help the team finish top four, and it has been easier to do as Manchester United have their players well rested as they are only in the Premier League.

You have a good point and this should give Manchester United an edge over other teams in the premier league now. But why I feel he might be the best manager for Manchester United is that even the last manager had the same task, but he was unable to handle it well. He was supposed to just deliver Manchester United in the premier league which they were only participating in, but he failed not until Carrick took over and things got better.

You might be right when you said Arsenal have secured their position for UCL I think Arsenal's case is almost certain even though they didn't win the premier league but there's every possiblity that they would make it to champions league next season, but I doubt if any team will come from behind to take the premier league title from them.

Early congratulations is not bad but it has to be in consensus as the what the performance of the team where rooting for that position is also playing. The premier league is sure going to be a roller coaster ride in the remaining games left for the season to come to an end. It will be a big headline and a thing of mockery if Arsenal were to still not win the Premier League this season from this position they're in and that could still happen because it's possible in football that they get too comfortable and conclude that they have won the league just to loose and drop points in the seven games remaining. I think the players need to stay locked in on what is necessary and needed to do in each game to ensure that they win. Even their coach needs to show same level of boldness as he did with his substitution against Everton.

This is the closest they've ever been since 2004 that they last won it. I honestly do not see this one slipping off their fingers. Arsenal have been very consistent with their results this season and deservedly deserved to stay at the top of the league but I honestly think that they've gotten those surprise wins when they didn't perform well which I think is a strong sign of a team that'll lift the league title.

Since the lost of Aston villa to Manchester United,  I have seen alot of  people criticising Manchester United's level of consistency and even in doubt if they will maintain such performance till the end of the season just to secure or cement there position in the champions league next season. On that, I will say the sorrowful days of Manchester United is over and victory is the next level they are in now and dropping form will be very difficult now they are on a mission to were the champions league ticket for next champions league tournament. From the performance in there last game we can say the United played with determination and focus of achieving something which was why they did brilliantly well at last.

If next seasons performance could be predicted now I will say Manchester united will do excellently well in the Champions League next season and may even go home with something if they can continue with such spirit.

I'm trying to understand. After a home win against Aston villa, there are people that are criticizing Man united consistency and are in doubt if they can maintain the level of performance they've got running for them till the end of the season.. In my opinion, Man united would finish strong this season and would secure a spot in the champions league next season. Their performance has obviously changed for the better and looking at them now, I can only hope that if they can improve on this performance next season, they'll be a team other clubs would cautiously play against and a strong contender for the epl title. Carrick has helped lift the club out from a series of poor performance. It's clear he knows his onions and how to bring out the best in his players.

Manchester united finishing stronger and never miss a spot in the champions league next season will be a prayer answered for the team, fans, management and all as that have been the dream and prayer of all including me. Since the retirement of sir Alex Manchester United have been left behind in everything including playing in the champions league so if Michael carrick can make us get back to the tournament it will be a very interesting one for all.

It surprises me to see a dead Man united under Ruben Amorim suddenly turn to an unstoppable Man united under Michael carrick with same players that Amorim couldn't manage well was it that the players didn't like Amorim or Amorim wasn't using them in their appropriate position? Man united is now among the top 3 club in the premier league with 3 points above Aston villa who is occuping the 4th position they will have to loss 2 matches and Liverpool also have to win 2 matches before Man united can come down from the top 4 and from Man united performance now i don't think it will be possible for Man united to drop from the top 4 because Liverpool is not playing a good football.

Arsenal is playing other games like the UEFA Champions League but that will not stop the club from still winning the premier league this season. Manchester City which is their rival that is taking the league from Arsenal in few other past seasons is not playing up to expectations. Even with the awaiting one match Manchester City has, Arsenal as shown the sign enough that the league belongs to them this season. Arsenal really deserves to win the league this season.

Carrick proved to be a very good manager, and we saw that when he was given the opportunity. Manchester United reached a completely different level under him. They beat every team and climbed to third place in the league after Amorim left. I think the management's most successful decision was the manager. We all witnessed how a manager can elevate a team to a higher level.

We don't know whether Michael Carrick is a good manager or not, because we won't know what will happen to Manchester United at the end of the season, as their performance could decline towards the end of the season. In my opinion, Manchester United's ability to reach this point still owes a little to Amorim, as Michael is new to Manchester United as a manager. However, Michael Carrick is certainly great, and I don't think Manchester United made the wrong choice, as Manchester United is now in fourth place.

Now, we'll just have to wait and see if Manchester United can perform well again in the upcoming matches. However, I think if Michael Carrick can make Manchester United perform even better, I think Michael Carrick deserves a contract extension at Manchester United. I hope Manchester United can play in the Champions League next season, as I haven't seen Manchester United play in the Champions League in a long time.
