After being eliminated from the Champions League competition, of course Man City's focus is now solely on the Premier League. They now have a great motivation to catch up with Arsenal, but on the other hand, Arsenal also has the same ambition, which is to win the Premier League title. So I think Arteta has to focus on one of them because it is impossible to target both, unless over time there is an advantage for them, and in terms of likelihood, the Premier League is the most feasible title to obtain. So I am quite confident in Arsenal this season; I believe they will succeed this season in winning the Premier League title.

Manchester City really tormented the Premier league teams very well, what is happening to them now is normal, I wouldn't be too hard on them even as everyone were saying that last season performance was as a result of Guardiola marital issues with his wife and the rumor divorce but that's more than what was going on in the team. The desire to win is there but they don't have adequate team to make consistent winning, that's what make difference between now and then.

At least, they loss in the Champions League and recently won Carabao, that shows they still have it in the team. Team that literally stable and active in the Premier league should be able to bottled that in first half but Arsenal couldn't even challenge them. That means Arsenal aren't that special as they think, they were just fortunate to be better ahead of them with performance in the end beginning of the season.

Football is what we cannot actually predict well i never believe that Manchester City is going to win Arsenal in the Caraboa cup final but they did an even with 2-0 though Arsenal goal keeper wasn't confidence e enough in that game, Arsenal wouldn't have been in finish point of winning the English Premier league tittle this season if Manchester City or Liverpool were in a good form or if Michael Carrick has been  Manchester United coach before now i think they are lucky this season though they tried other season back to win but Manchester City and Liverpool wouldn't allow it to happen but I believe they will win it this season.

Currently, there appears to be a nine-point gap, but Manchester City has played one less game. We can talk about a potential six-point difference with Arsenal. Looking at the remaining matches, the two toughest games are Arsenal's Premier League matches against Manchester City and Newcastle United. I think they will most likely win their other matches and finish the season as champions. The real deciding factor will be their game against Manchester City. If they beat Manchester City there, no other team will be left in contention for the championship.

Really? I mean six points is still an awful lot of points gap considering that the league only has seven games left. That means it could still happen of course but feels like that possibility is getting smaller and smaller.

I understand City having a possibility but the most likely result at this point that Arsenal will win the title. Obviously they would rather have something better, City would want to win, but they are second place and they should be happy with that considering they are on a rebuild phase.

Irrespective of all that, Man City was a clear stronger team in that match, and I wonder what Arsenal would have done to turn the table around.

It was very obvious what Manchester City's coach did to win that game which was using a four man press against Arsenal's second choice goalkeeper who is clearly not very good on his feet. If Manchester City repeats the same strategy against Arsenal in the Premier League it may not be as successful as the expect because David Raya who is their first choice goalkeeper he's a better player on his feet than Kepa and can easily break the press with a pass through, and Arteta must have made that observation already. I hear news of Arsenal players ditching International call up with injury news, I think it is the best call if they want to win the league.

Yeah obviously Pep Guardiola win this match with a tactical shotgun, like he used some new instructions to get strip the Mikel Arteta team. Like, technically, I explained it that Pep knew it that Mikel Arteta is making a buildup from the back, and that's why Pep Guardiola utilize a different way like for a defensive approach, he used a high press, like compelling Arsenal defenders into mistakes, and also for a blink, he used cut pass lane instructions, and honestly, it all work. Thus far for an offensive step, he knew it that Arsenal will used a fast transition play despite Pep Guardiola made them fool to used a slow build up with a possession.

So for this Cup match Pep Guardiola was really prepared, and that's why he used some different strategy to get them into a trap and get the victory form them. Anyway congratulations to Pep he is a master of the coach and his effort bring up good results for Manchester City.

Forest has been impressive in recent matches as they had shown that they have what it takes to come up against teams that may be considered as top side like Tottenham. I was not expecting that Forest will get all three points against a team like Tottenham even though, Tottenham has not been on a great form in recent it only shows the quality that Forest has in the team, Forest has been great so far this season.


Forest is still in the Europa League and will be playing FC Porto in the quarter finals of the competition. Let see how Forest will come up against a top European team like Porto I believe that Forest can make it to the finals of the Europa League from what I am seeing forest play in recent games.

It's really interesting that while they've achieved such success in Europe, they're struggling to get out of the relegation zone in the Premier League. If they hadn't managed to win against Tottenham, they would currently be among the bottom three teams in the league. Thanks to the three points they earned last week with a draw, they've started to climb up a bit in recent weeks. But what position will they finish in at the end of the season? I think they need to focus on that. It will be very interesting for them if they can't get out of the relegation zone

I missed watching that match, but from the statistics I can clearly say that Manchester city really possessed more especially in the second half of the game. It is true that Manchester city is not in a good form yet I don't even see that match to work in the favour of arsenal even without considering the home advantage that was giving to them, I was thinking they could end with a score due to the poor performance of Manchester city as they will be struggling just to maintain draw with them but to my greatest surprise they even dominate the game, their performance in their previous match was unexpected honestly.

7 multiply by 3 is 21 points, assuming Manchester City win all their match, that's the point they are going to accumulate. If we subtract 6 from the 21 it will left with 16 points. So, this 16 point is what going to determine how Arsenal are going to play the rest of the season. You can't tell me that Arsenal are gong to sit and lose 4 matches and win just 3, that's going to be unlikely even as things are not too okay for them, there is high chance they will do better.

Let's not act like Manchester City has everything to win this league. They won Carabao and that's impressive but I will not lie if I say I have some impression about the game. They only came for Arsenal to win the trophy, they can't possibly do this if this was Premier league because they will even get tired of everything they are doing, there is no way Manchester City are gong to play in their full capacity, they don't have the liver to pull such.

At least with Manchester City winning the Carabao Cup they got a trophy this season because when their pursuit was the EPL trophy although they are still trying to do it but the situation is still a little more difficult for them.

Now City's focus is just to catch up with their 9 points and their advantage is just 1 postponed match that they haven't played but this is still quite good especially Arsenal's focus now is not only the EPL but the Champions League which could make their situation a little more difficult. Previously they have also been in moments like this and they lost all opportunities to get the trophy and this situation could happen again this season when Arsenal lost their focus.
So we have to see if after the defeat in this final Arsenal will be even more chaotic or just try to secure the competition they are still participating in.

I don't think the Carabao Cup would ever please them. It is of course a positive result, but it could never outweigh the disappointment in all those other competitions. Their chances to win the EPL is 25% at best because they still have to play one more match and they still play against Arsenal. If they win both games, it would be 3 points separating them from Arsenal and they would still have to hope for one more mistake at least.

They have the FA Cup as a goal, which I think would ease the trouble a little bit if they finished the season with the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup win. But in the FA Cup Liverpool is their next opponent and Chelsea and Arsenal are still in there. It will not be effortless to say the last.

But I miss realism here and there. By any normal terms, when Arsenal reaches 3 finals and becomes 2nd in the EPL, it would not be a bad season, but it again reveals how much it is all about trophies in sport. Nobody will be talking about this season in a few months time if they don't win anything, but the question is still up for debate whether it would be right or not to sack Arteta?

Now with all the bad outcomes of the past years for Arsenal, I think this time they are in a position to win trophies ore than ever. They haven't been declining yet as they have been in other seasons, results were good and while they were not as furious in the UCL, many of the greatest teams had problems in their first match.

It could be a great season for them and it could be a never ending story of being the uncrowned second.

This is simple, they're ready to face Arsenal in the English premier League and this is definitely going to be a really tough one. The Carabao cup final did determine the level of standard we can rate Arsenal. Do you think their defeat shakes them? Agreed, David Raya is somewhat better than Kepa in a way, but do you think that the goalkeeper is enough to turn the table around? I strongly doubt that! Did you notice the pressure on Arsenal's team while Man City tactically control the entire field? It's easy to find a defence, but very difficult to achieve it. Even with David Raya, what will happen will surely happen, it might even be worse than this, and I do not blame the keeper as such, he's not the only one on the field. Arsenal did well in defence, at some point, until they lost the guard, but later reinforced it again.

As for the 4-man press claim, it's not new with Man City, and even Raya and many other club's goalkeepers had faced it before in the hands of the Man City.

It’s final and Manchester city’s chance to win something for themselves this season. More so, they are playing against the very best side in the premier league at this time so, they’ve got to give it their best in performance if they were ever going to win and they weren’t short of that. Penalties wasn’t an option because, that’s a game of chance and that’s the chance Pep wasn’t willing to take. In the end, they were able to beat Arsenal and lift the trophy.

The type of performance that was exhibited by Manchester City in that match clearly shows how scary they can be as a team when facing them. They have dominated the game more than we expected and that win, it was duly deserved for them based on their performance in that match. Arsenal needs to be very careful for the title fight, they should not fumble if they risk losing the premier league title even at this point. Manchester City looks to no giving up on anything anytime soon from this point in time until they or Arsenal wins the premier league title. We have quite a few number of matches left and they are mostly the deciders for the title fight.

Manchester City has always been a big challenge for Arsenal whenever they meet so it's not new that they won the EFL cup after beating Arsenal by 2:0. In the rival match between Manchester City and Arsenal, it is a match that Manchester City will have to play against all odds to defeat Arsenal and i think they can achieve it because Arsenal will be very busy in the F.A Cup quarter finals and the UCL so before they will return to play Manchester City they may be tired from the many matches that they must have played which City will seize that privilege to win Arsenal and close the gap. Manchester City also has big matches which is against Liverpool in the FA cup quarter finals and against Chelsea in the EPL but those matches won't weigh them down. I will only say that Arsenal are eligible to win the Premier League title if they win or draw against Manchester City otherwise i can't be affirmative about them winning the title.

It’s a final and Arsenal chance of winning something too, a possible bird in hand is worth more than the premier league and UCL they still have to fight for, that was Arsenal thoughts on Sunday, Manchester City did not go into that game wanting it more than Arsenal because for years Arsenal hasn’t won any trophy and this one was just it for them.
Manchester City were good in the second half and Arsenal did not come out on the level Manchester City came out for the second leg, and this win will not mean that Manchester City are satisfied for the season.

Manchester City did surprise all including me by Willing Arsenal in am unbelievable 2 goals to nothing when know one expected. Sine the starting of the season in all competitions,  Arsenal appeared to be one of the most consistent team in England with 80 percent chances of lifting all the trophies in England but lost on a humiliating manner.
Arsenal's lost to Manchester City have made me belieave that consistency never guarantee success, if consistency guarantee success that mean Arsenal wont have lost to Manchester City because they where the most consistent team in all competitions but what happened to them is still getting me confused till now.

That is where many people actually get it wrong when it comes to what will be will be, it is never like that. Yes Manchester City were actually the better team overall but every Arsenal fan had right to point fingers at this Kepa. It was his error leading to goal that actually got Manchester City the goals. Aside this the game would have been a little balanced and would have given Arsenal too some confidence too. Haven’t we seen an opponent been better than the other opponents but they lost because the goalkeeper of the second team was actually brilliant in that game.

I usually see many fans downplay the importance of goalkeepers and usually say that what will happen will happen and that’s not utterly true because you will see goalkeepers winning games that their club doesn’t deserve. Last season when Manchester United were conceding goals many said that it wasn’t onana fault and that even a change of keep wouldn’t mean anything fast forward to today aren’t we witnessing a bit of improvement since the new goal keeper makes lesser mistakes. So for me another goalkeeper in this game might have made a difference

Because big teams use different goalkeepers in the league and the cup. The goalkeeper who doesn't get minutes in the league ends up playing in the cup, that's what rotation is. Most managers don't make an exception for the final either. The right approach is to finish the tournament with the goalkeeper you started with. You can't expect a goalkeeper who plays once a month to be as sharp as your first-choice. Raya will keep playing in the league, Kepa will probably not play another match this season.

Man City have 8 games left to play, not 7, as they had one game postponed.
You guys are also forgetting that Man City will play directly against Arsenal on 19th April at home. So if Man City do everything right, they only need to make up 3 points. I don't expect Arsenal to win all the remaining 7 games. If they perform consistently to what we have seen in the 31 games already played, they are expected to earn 15.81 points, meaning they would lose 4.
The problem is that I also don't think it's likely that Man City could win all of their remaining 8 games. At this stage, all teams are desperate for points, so even playing against teams from the bottom of the table could prove to be a tough challenge.
