Mohamed Salah is a very good player, and I'm sure he'll play at a high level for a few more years, but he might retire after 35 or 36 because he won't be able to perform as well as he used to. I can not really tell if Mohammed Salah will play till his 40 but one thing I'm certain of is that he is not as strong as cristiano Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most committed player I have ever seen so far, the way he train himself I doubt if any player would actually give that time to training and that is why he is always outstanding in his performance though we can not actually run away from nature or age because once the time we will see it. And yea, not everyone can be like Ronaldo and he should not be compared because he is unique.

Slot has done a good job of making Salah the scape goat this season even though half the team are underperforming. Salah is 33 years old, you can’t really expect him to make a lot of runs, the smart option would be to play him in the centre.

What you just said about playing Salah in the center is what we was talking about some days back at home after their last game, is like putting CR7 as a winger like when he was younger, nothing productive will happen and seeing Salah on the wing struggling is like a failed project, no assist or goals and taking on defenders is a problem. Is like he doesn't know what next to do when he have the ball to take the final blow, Mo is good we know but those abilities of running for counter is no longer their, is so unfortunate that we have to watch him struggle more till the end of the season and if is not a penalty kick it becomes hard for him to score, he's no longer a threat to any defense line but that doesn't mean they should let him have a free run towards goal, that is it.

What amazes me even more is that he doesn’t drink alcohol, which is extremely rare for a player who has everything he has. it’s no surprise his performance is still on par with that of a player in his 30s today. And another fact is that he rarely gets injured, even though many opposing players constantly tackle him hard. He only occasionally suffers minor injuries.

I don’t think Mohamed Salah will be able to perform as well as Cristiano Ronaldo does in his 40s. And I think the same goes for other players.

It depends on Salah's decision to decide on this, but it could possibly happen, but I think Liverpool wants to replace old players with new players to freshen up their players or there are other things they should change in Liverpool's progress in the future.

I agree with you that one of the factors behind Salah's declining performance is Arne Slot's poor tactical system, which doesn't suit Salah and Liverpool in general. Nearly every Liverpool player has seen a decline in performance under Arne Slot. Salah is fed up with being constantly blamed for his declining performance, which is why he decided to leave Liverpool. In fact, it's possible that several other players will follow Salah's lead and leave Liverpool if Arne Slot remains as manager.

Agree with literally everything in this post. Let’s not forget that Salah had an all timer season in 24/25 which won us the PL. I think it probably covered up how average a coach Slot is.  If I had the choice I’d bin Slot and keep Salah for another season.

Why are you sounding as if Manchester city position in the premier league is not yet certain, what we should be talking or discussing is the possibility of meeting up with Arsenal in the first position because that is their target now as they are out of champions league and I don't see Chelsea as a major threat to Manchester city because Chelsea has already lost it some time ago, this current Chelsea is not the one that won Paris Saint Germain in the club word cup though they will be fighting to qualify for  champions league while Manchester city will be fighting for first position, it's going to be tough though.

He is a player with a strong dedication to maintaining a healthy lifestyle as a professional player. And he seems like a machine or even robot with a champion’s mentality. It's gon be an interesting match as usual and the strongest will win the game. I wouldn't underestimate Chelsea if they are playing with a Premium League team like Manchester City because they can pull some stunts and surprise us. The question i want to ask is that has Salah ever played in another position aside the right wing? if yes then Arne Slot would have interchanged his position and see how he performs, that's if the right wing is becoming a problem for him to make many runs as a result of effect of his age. However, i don't think that his position is the problem because his former teammate Sadio Mane who is same age with him is still performing well as a winger for the Saudi club Al Nassr.

Funny how you said that Salah's underperformance is due to Slot's poor management system when it' still same coach that won them the Premier League title last season. A player's decline in performance should not often be attributed to the coach, it's quite unfair.

100%. I don’t know why some Liverpool fans don’t see this. Mo Salah was on an incredible run in the 2024/2025 season and that was why Liverpool were happy to give him a new contract. Like you, I would rather sack the bald fraud than let Salah go. I believe Salah will want to retire at the club. Unfortunately this season, he’s not been so great and Slot is diverting attention from his poor system to Salah’s reaction to not getting minutes.

City are the favourites, but there is no talk of a one-sided game. And it seems to me that there is no reason for this - City has already lost the title race, and Chelsea is in a desperate situation in the fight for the top 5 (a ticket to the Champions League), so their motivation will be maximum. I don't know if this game is worth cash bets, probably only live.
