Because Arsenal history has been similar every season failing to maintain their position under pressure. Furthermore, their mentality is also lacking. It's understandable that many people are still unsure about Arsenal ability to win their remaining two matches.

But I want to look at Arsenal from a different perspective this season. Arsenal problems in previous seasons have made them inconsistent at the end of the season because they lacked a well rounded squad but this season Arteta has that. Furthermore, Arsenal play this season is also different from previous seasons. While previous seasons saw them play aggressively even when they were ahead this season Arteta is playing more cautiously, especially when they are ahead focusing on strengthening their defense to prevent conceding goals. Perhaps Arteta realizes that strengthening their defense is a key factor in winning the title.

So, I'm still very optimistic about Arsenal chances of winning the EPL trophy this season, especially since they face easy opponents in their remaining two matches and their opponents won't impact Arsenal victory. Meanwhile, Manchester City still faces a challenge in their final match facing Bournemouth and Aston Villa both of whom are battling for fifth place.

City play the FA Cup Final today against Chelsea. They then head to Bournemouth three days later. This team has never lost 16 games and have beaten Arsenal AND Liverpool in that span. Iraola's last ever home game before he leaves the club. The crowd will be crazy.

But what no one is talking about? Semenyo (City's big January signing. He literally came FROM Bournemouth. He's back now, having returned to the team that has won him his way to fame, and to his old manager's retirement party.

So then Villa, 4 days after possibly playing in a Europa League Final in Istanbul? This is a 2700km journey each way. Whether they win or lose, those players will be running on fumes.

All things being equal Aston Villa should bring home the Europa league trophy. If they can replicate this dominance performance they displayed against Liverpool tonight, they will be too much to handle for their opponent. I was surprised at the result, I did feel at some point Liverpool would try to even the scores and take the lead but, Aston Villa didn’t give them much of a chance. They did their most to take created chances and punished Liverpool for every mistake they made.

Liverpool is just lucky that the season is nearing its final days with barely one or two games remaining if not they would be battling relegation just like Tottenham is now and that would have been the worst of it all for a club like Liverpool considering how much money they lavished in signing players such as Isak and Florian Wirtz.
