Coaching Chelsea is the right choice for Alanso. Of course every decision carries risks but Alanso understands that and has made the decision to take on Chelsea to prove he is a qualified coach. Moreover, Chelsea gives Alanso freedom to determine strategy and recruit players. This is very different from Real Madrid, where he doesn't have that freedom, especially regarding player transfers and the club's management often favors the players over the coach.

As a matter of fact he has a lot of time to prepare him self and the club before primer league starts, unlike that of Manchester United coach that had a very short time to accept and adapt but regardless still have immediate results.

Don't blame it on the manager. Didn't the players go for training every week before they play matches? They do and just for your information, club doesn't have one coach. They can have like 4 assistant coach and one head coach. The head coach are the ones we do discuss all the time since they control everything but when a club sack one, there are assistants that manage the club and the team until new one is assign before the arrival of another one.

Most time, the coach just take responsibility of what the team does, there is no difference between there preference and absence if it's short period of time. As long as players train and do everything alright, the players will deliver because all of them are professionals, they have played many games before they get there. So this excuse of Chelsea players not having inconsistent manager is not an right, it's even the players that are not doing their part.

It seems Xabi Alonso was too hasty in accepting Chelsea offer. If he had been a little more patient, perhaps Liverpool would have come forward. Xabi Alonso not really good coach in my opinion although winning Bundesliga tittle with Bayern Leverkusen but failure as Madrid's manager, he stays without six months when appointing as Madrid manager before sacking from his position. Not bad ideas for Chelsea management give him opportunity become the manager but Premier League is quite difficult competition and Chelsea has bad reputation easily sacking manager almost every season.

Premier League quite difficult for predicting and I am not sure yet Alonso will be success with Chelsea, however he needs time adapting the tactical and management must me patience give him time get progress to make Chelsea back as the top fourth premier league teams.

I thinks fans need to learn to lower their expectations especially when new managers join the club. Xabi like every new manager should have his period of trial and error. It will take couple of trainings and trying out things to understand what works best for the club. As for injury during the world cup that too should be another draw back when the next season begins. I think what Xabi needs now isn't too much high hopes but love and encouragement ahead of his new role as Chelsea manager. Chelsea's form is abysmal as we saw it last  season. They have not been able to perform  well against smaller teams either. And at the end of the season they were tenth in the  points table. It's a shame for a club as renowned as chelsea. Because last season they spent  huge amount of money on squad  formation. Even then they failed  completely. It would be foolish to think that the appointment of a new  manager will immediately boost Chelsea's performance. Adequate time must be given to the new  management. Quick improvement is impossible for  this squad.

Don't be surprised by Xabi Alonso's decision to choose Chelsea or accept to become Chelsea new head coach because even though Chelsea sack him within his first six months as Chelsea head coach it won't ruin his coaching career since everyone knows Chelsea as a club that sack their coach any time the Chelsea team is consistently losing matches, Xabi Alonso will always land himself a job even if he fails to improve Chelsea. The fact is that the chance that Arsenal gave Arteta is much and I dont think many of this clubs will do the same thing. And one thing is the fact that any team that always find it hard to give their manager enough time always find it difficult to get a stable performance due to changing of managers all the time.

It's probably another opportunity for Xabi Alonso to prove himself once again but am very skeptical about the whole thing because this club has it's way of ruining the reputation of promising coaches, Andre Vilaboas was a victim of similar circumstances at Chelsea, Rafael Benitez, Graham potter and some other coaches had similar experiences too and I doubt if Xabi would be able to turn things around but let's give him the benefits of doubt.

Xabi is a great coach so perhaps Chelsea might be able to improve next season or maybe not. Xabi Alonso is a very good coach no doubt, I admire him a lot but Truth be told he's just another victim of Chelsea's sacked managers, now he's among the list, rebuilding or not, we all know Chelsea not as the patients ones, they will sack him if he's not meeting up to expectations, because just like you said, Chelsea fans will definitely need something to banter with, and a slow move won't really help the situation, and again even if he's to achieve greatness in that team, it's definitely not with this Chelsea squad, he really needs to make some sells and buy new ones else, I see no good result.

That's from your own point of view and I respect that, but we can't just write them of, no not that quick, at least Xabi Alonso is the team manager now, and we all know what he's done with Bayern Leverkusen down to Real Madrid if not that he was so unfortunate to have left the team unwilling, he doesn't have any bad stats there, so I still believe he can do well with this Chelsea team, but one thing I'm certain is even if he will do well it's certainly not with this Chelsea current squad, he needs to make lots of changes before he can be sure of something else he will have himself to blame.

It can be argued that Chelsea's conditions is better than when Michael Carrick took over at Manchester United,  but I have always said that Chelsea's problem is not the players or the manager,  rather I think it's the board that has the issue. I think this nee owner is not as ambitious as the previous owner and that is really want is affecting the club. I think Chelsea has the youngest team right now, which we all know that is not their culture. I believe they have some good player,  but they also have to add some experience players to improve the team,  but the owner will rather invest on prospect hoping they come out right,  but I think prospect is not enough, you need to add experience if you want to compete in the highest level.
