It all depends on what personality the new coach might possess, if he has a similar philosophy as Pep Guardiola then he might me able to attract the same level of respect discipline and value that Guardiola inculcated in the squad before he left the team. Players often tend to disregard or disrespect a coach when the coach doesn't relate with the players in ways that show that coach he has what it takes to lead the team on the pitch and beyond the pitch.

You're right and I think Enzo maresca has the capacity, one of the qualities of a good manager is to have a good relationship with your team, because for them to give you listening ear their most be a cordial relationship, pep was a very good manager to Manchester city, the players enjoys his coaching pattern and will welcome any manager that does things exactly like him, although their must be individual differences but I don't think that maresca will disappoint but there shouldn't be much rush on him, the club should give him time to work on his team first then the result can start although it is club football where money is spent to make more money, he has to put out his best as fast as he can.

For now Manchester City has not particularly mentioned who they have given the head coach job to and it was just me speculating that Enzo Maresca would be a good choice since he is a taproot of Guardiola he may be able to maintain some standard as Pep even though he may not completely exhibit Pep's prodigy. Even at Chelsea, Enzo wasn't any bad but it was just the management that lacks patient for his project with the team. But all the same, let see who City eventually give the job, it could be anyone they trust for it.

You're right, Xabi has proven to be a quality coach so being able to work with this guy is an advantage, but I've always said that it won't be easy for him to build a solid squad in the near future, the challenges at Chelsea are too great because their management lacks patience. But I'm also quite confident that Xabi Alonso will bring something positive.

The management has got to be patient with him at least, he has shown he can take them to be one of the best competitive sides in Europe, the management who prioritise profits should also do with the beautiful game so that the fans can be genuinely happy again. We all believed the former coach was the chosen one, because he was actually doing just fine at France Ligue 1 before his arrival to Chelsea, and even after his arrival he was quite on fire in his first 3 to 4 matches, that even Chelsea fans was taunting Manchester United fans and Micheal Carrick, till everything turned the other way round, yes Xabi Alonso is a good coach no doubt but I'm putting it direct to him that if he doesn't make change on this Chelsea current squad he ain't going nowhere, take it or leave it this current squad can't take him anywhere.

I don't think that will happen. What if he wants to be the manager of another Premier League club? He built City. The City management and the players respect Guardiola enough. City are also ready to pay big wages. I don't think Guardiola will return to the Premier League after leaving City.

Chelsea is a troubled club right now; they can't seem to find their rhythm, and managers never last long there. So, it's highly unlikely Alonso will be able to significantly improve the Blues' game. I think he shouldn’t have left Leverkusen in the first place. The German side played some excellent football under his management. But he accepted Real Madrid's offer and crashed out. I’m just not convinced he can replicate his Leverkusen success at Chelsea.

I also agree that Arsenal and Manchester City are still going to be the top 2 teams going into next season , because I think Manchester City already have a good squad that does not need much rebuilding and Arsenal on the other hand are the champions and also have a very good and stable team right now, unlike the other teams that will definitely be rebuilding their teams, with all also having a new manager,  so I think  Arsenal and Manchester City have the edge. Manchester City might only have a problem if Enzo failed to instill his tactics on the players on time, but I really think they are still the 2 teams that will be competing for the premier league next season,  although I tend to favor Arsenal much, because I think they are the most stable team right now.

When u mentioned teams that will be having a new coach, it seems Manchester City skipped your mind, they are going to suffer slight instability, even if we try so hard not to accept that it will happen, it definitely will and that is because  it is more like a normal that the arrival of a new coach sets things differently on a new trajectory and Manchester City lost a few players too, it is possible  they could still finish top 2 but at this time, we cannot be absolutely sure about that.

Alonso sacked early at Real Madrid just few months only become the manager, I don't underestimate Alonso's tactics when appointing for Chelsea's manager but waiting for how many months keep staying as manager because Chelsea know as the team not enough patience waiting the progress for sacking the manager. Currently almost one month since Xabi Alonso appointed as Chelsea's manager at 17 May but until right now he not announces yet new recruitment, difference with other club exactly Manchester United have released new signing but Chelsea still not active at window transfer activity.

Adopting the tactical when becoming Leverkusen's manager at Premier League I don't work it because high intention and high physical when playing every premier league matches. Alonso must try unique tactical because every match in Premier League always unpredictable although face the mediocre team.

It's still too early to conclude that he will go that far with Chelsea because we still haven't seen what players he will bring in.. so before we see what players he will bring in and which players he will keep, we can only predict that he will perform well with the squad by looking at his experience at Leverkusen and Madrid.

We all agree that Xabi Alonso is an excellent manager, but Chelsea is a club that does not have a patience with their managers, if they don’t get the results they need from him in this first season, im not sure they can wait for the end of the season to sack him. Chelsea hired three managers within last season, yet they couldn’t finish among the top five teams. Xabi Alonso needs to do a great job in his first season in order to save his job.

However, Chelsea have released the name of their untouchable players for this summer, and it’s obvious that only seven players are untouchable in the current squad. Enzo Fernandez is no longer untouchable at the club, since the player also want to leave the club, if not this summer then next summer. Hope they can get top attacking players to help them for next season.

Enzo's performance won't be bad, he's already worked with Guardiola, in the 2022/2023 campaign run, and would easily contact him for technical assistants in trouble times, but taking control, all by himself, the lead of what Guardiola built over time, would be quite challenging, yet city has the structure of good performance in premier league already, and has also bagged a longed term spot in the top 3 position of the league, a feat he'd easily retain as the new head coach, despite a bad run at Chelsea.

Arsenal and Manchester City both are the strong teams and they are always in the struggle to do well. But in this recent season Arsenal were too good their performance was quite improved and impressive as well. i think everybody noticed that they were different in this season as compared to their previous seasons. And this is really a very great thing that they improved and achieved a specific position. But Manchester City performance was like they were facing ups and downs throughout the season. They were too good In fact they were competing for the title at a point but a sudden and worst decline was observed in their performance and they finished their position at the lowest which is quite disappointing and also a sad moment for the Arsenal fans to see their team in a not expecting and their deserving position.

Manchester city and arsenal have improved and have been consistent in recent years and this season have written different stories for the both teams, like arsenal they have been organised and have shown maturity over the years in terms of discipline and consistency and if they continue like this they will be the complete side. While Manchester City have experienced an unpredictable season, they  have times when they looked like the genuine title contenders but fail to get points in important and critical games and for a team that have dominated English football for a long time to struggle is very surprising. But for Manchester city to still finish second in the league means they are not weak, they still have what it takes to win this title and to dominate the league, they just need to improve and maintain more consistency. For arsenal, they need to maintain this improvement to show that this consistency is not just temporary and competing for the top is very difficult but they have proven to be among England best teams.

Xabi should not be underestimated at all because there is a possibility of him bringing back the club to what it used to be. Chelsea is a great club and the players are good but they just have problems with consistency. I think this is the kind of coach Chelsea needs. Xabi is a good coach and a very experienced one. One thing about having a good performance from a team is that there must be a good coach and also players who are good.

It is incomplete when a team has good players but lacks a coach who can manage the team better, and this is what Chelsea has been missing for a very long time. It is a very good development for Chelsea to have plans to bring Xabi in as coach.

I took believe he can do well with Chelsea but changes from him in the team might not come immediately, Chelsea has lots of players both at the club and on loan, every coach wants to have their own preferred players. Xabi alonso will make some changes to suit his own ways, that won't come immediately. The team will have to be patient with him, not only that, what happened to him at Real madrid shouldn't repeat itself, the board will have to give him dominion over his team so that few players don't feel like they are more important in the team, after that they should allow him to work, he will succeed.
