Yeah, Arsenal didn’t went through any challenges their season was a bit better than last seasons that they only finished up in the second position. If you look how their performances go well in the champion league nobody will believe that they won’t win the champion league join.

In my view If Arsenal had played Champions League final the way they did at the start of the season, they would have beaten PSG. Probably domestic matches and the pressure of conceding the title to Manchester City at the end wore them down, so their potential to win Champions League was not realized, although they came very close.

I respected the way arsenal played the final, and I was so impressed with their performance because they make sure they hold on to the tool they have confidence for which was the defense, arsenal know themselves that they have a very good defenders and they actually make use of it. I heard some people saying that arsenal show at least goal for more goals which I also reason with them, but looking at the disadvantage of that is a very huge one and that is why they are able to hold Paris Saint-Germain up to the extra minutes.

I honestly respected how they played because if not for that penalty that was awarded which make the match draw I have confidence that Paris Saint-Germain will not be able to score direct goals against Arsenal in that final.

I agree with you that Chelsea and Xabi Alonso need a lot of patience to start bringing the results we need, because Chelsea have been through a lot recently and if Alonso will work on the teams mentality and tactics that will bring consistent results, they need to have patience. We just have to look at what Chelsea has to offer next season. Alonso is not a child anymore, and I believe before Chelsea went for him, they believe he can do sometimes tangible and secure a good position for them next season, just like Carrick did when he came to Manchester united. Of course, we saw where man U was when he came. They were very backward, and he changed things and made the club better. Arsenal still stands a better chance of winning the Premier League, most of the teams in the Premier League are having new managers, most especially the bigger clubs are having new managers, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, are all having new managers, so they will have to get used to their teams and players to implement their playing style, unless we have a different approach that works for teams and we see something different or a surprise from other clubs, but right now Arsenal are the favorites to win the Premier League again, but I’m expecting one of the big teams like Manchester United who have an existing manager to challenge Arsenal for the Premier League title next season.

I can't agree with you completely. City's squad is strong. Guardiola  has built a strong squad in the last few years. But if the manager's  strategy is not good, it will not be possible for city to do well. We have seen Liverpool this season. Despite  having a very strong squad, they have failed.

Maresca is not a  successful manager either. A few months ago, chelsea  management fired Maresca. There is no chance of calling such a person a successful manager. He may be talented. But there is no guarantee that he will succeed with City.

Losing an experienced  manager like guardiola is a big loss for City. I fear that manchester city's situation will not be like Manchester United's. Since Sir Ferguson left manchester united, manchester united have not been able to dominate the premier league.

Although there is one thing I see in football,  which is at all times unexpected things do happen.  Some team may lose consistency because of constant changing of coaches while others may do completely well when that happens but the truth is constant changing of coaches is not good.

Certainly every coach will have his own strategy and way of thinking, but if they think they have the magic wand and solve everything in the short term they are evidently way of thinking.

The change they are looking for can never be immediate, Chelsea have a good foundation, but they need to get back on track decisively and any manager who follows the team will need full confidence and time without mincing words.

You're correct, they are using the current performance of the clubs to set odds for next season, that's how they always do it, by using current form and as the match day progresses that's how the odds will be changing depending on the performance of the teams in front. Sometimes I wonder why teams like Brighton, Leeds and other lower teams are being given odds to win the league, I think they are not really considered in winning it that's why they set a very high odd for them. Someday, one of these lower teams might pull a Leicester city kind of performance and win the league.

That's why I keep saying no Chelsea fans should expect much from Xabi Alonso rather than making top four and playing in the UEFA Champions League competition comes next season, because at his first season as Chelsea manager should be a rebuilding process and nothing less, then next season they should be expecting a trophy, so they are not that patient type they really need to be patient this time, because there are no trust worthy managers out there, at least we've seen Xabi Alonso's hand work at Bayern Leverkusen and Real Madrid, so he definitely need time.

I agree with you. Man City are a great team but this season they have not been able to achieve the desired goals despite raising expectations. Man City were last in the competition with Arsenal but suddenly the rhythm fell. They lost to Aston Villa and drew with Bournemouth and fell behind on points. The team had a great time under Pep Guardiola. The way he took charge of the team and inspired the players, he was a successful manager of the team. Guardiola has worked hard for the team during his long tenure and that is right but the team needed changes and I think he did the right thing. The team needs some new star players to maintain the performance set for next season.

Same here, I haven't heard any rumors regarding his new club and several sources report that Pep will likely take a break for a few seasons, called rest only as Manager means he may have another position which is clearly not a manager. If I had to guess I think Serie A could be a challenge for Pep and we know he only wants to manage teams that are in the top 1-5 of the standings, or if it has to be in the Premier League, which team is most deserving? what do you think about his chances of moving to Newcastle? Newcastle has good finances so there are no obstacles to bringing in players.

I agree with all that you said here, and I just want to add to what you have already said. As it stands now, they just need to sign like four top quality players that can improve the team going forward. Players that can break into the team right away and be playing weekly, not someone that will come in an start warming the bench.

They need two experience and quality center backs, one left winger and an experience center forward that will guarantee them 20 goals a season. That is the only way they can compete for major honours next season, because if they did not add to their squad quality and experience players in this summer transfer window, they might still experience a disappointing season next year.
