Looking at the way things where at the beginning we all can tell that all teams except the small teams lost consistency which was why Arsenal had the opportunity to secure the victory.
Just as mentioned, Manchester city never maintained consistency until January if not I don't think Arsenal would have gotten the opportunity to become champions of England.

Facts is that this defensive game is creeping deep into there mindset and with its productivity, am not even sure Arteta will switch it up next season. At this point you said something about upgrading the offense line but I wouldn't advice any attacker to go play for Arsenal as they would be inverted into Centre Backs  because how can they tell me they have Trossard, and Martinelli at the left, Saka and Madueke at the right, Odegaard and Eze attacking the middle and Gyokeres at the front and still can't put up numbers. They really took advantage of the weakness of these other top teams, now Arsenal fans believes since Pep Guardiola no more in the league, the Dominican is now with them, but I only laugh at them, because they really don't know what is about to hit them come next season, like every team is recruiting seriously, and they believe they will dominate next season let's wait to next season start first, mean while they should enjoy the name champions while it last, because they won't be know by that name after next season had ended.

I agree when you said they should change their tactics but saying Arsenal prefer to defend is what I won't agree with because I have not seen any team in the premier league, Arsenal was defending when they played apart from Paris Saint Germain that was on their neck that final day. If Arsenal prefer's defending like you said I don't think they would have win the premier league this passed season and I will say Arsenal is very strong despite the fact that Paris Saint Germain won them.

Every coach has a different strategy and formation. Maresca will never use the same strategy and formation that guardiola uses. If everyone  could succeed with the same strategy, there  would be no difference between guardiola and Maresca. Guardiola is a legend for City. Maresca cannot take that place. I wouldn't be surprised if they even miss out on the title race next season. City have not played as well as they  could in the last two seasons. I do not  think maresca will do anything extraordinary.

Yes, if this is part of Arteta's strategy at Arsenal, I think Arteta will clearly have to change his tactics a little in the coming season. It's very true, arsenal really needs to evolve and upgrade because when a team uses a style to dominate a whole season other clubs will begin to study this style and look for weaknesses and capitalise on these weaknesses of the team's play style to render them powerful. The main concern here is not at Arsenal's quality because they have players that can compete well in the highest stage but their problem is balance in defence stability and attack ambitions, there are some games they will need to fully attack and there are some games they will need to wait patiently for counter attacks. Meanwhile, Arsenal showed consistent wins from the start, and that made a significant difference. Had Man City been consistent from the start, Arsenal chances of winning a trophy would have been dashed. Arsenal were fortunate, as at that time Man City was undergoing a major transition process, which kept Pep Guardiola busy adjusting his squad.

For me, I really want Arsenal to change there perspective towards games, especially big games as they begin the new season. Tye team is good, they have good players and dedicated ones at that. What I don't understand is why Arteta will always prefer to sit back and defend instead of going out to fight for a goal and winning. Am sure if they had gone out to play against PSG in champions league finals, maybe, they would have become Champions of Europe by now, Nobody knows. But the idea of sitting back isn't just good for me. It happened even in the EPL against some big teams.

I just see fear I'm arsenal with the way they play those games. Before, Arsenal were known for holding possession. But now with Arteta, Arsenal are now chasers of the ball and good defenders. Exactly, Arsenal's tactical right now easily reading the opponent team trough they are relying from set piece only not have more creativities for scoring goals from open play. Prefer to defend is not good ideas because all Premier League club playing open play and has possibility for scoring goals although the match have few minutes left and Arsenal's tactical can't effective if still play more defensive next season.

With how much Arsenal suffered before they could win the league title last season, I would even mind if they decide not to play so hard again come next season just like what Liverpool did last season after winning the league title the previous season, but then if the players will still have the strength and agility to try to win the league title again next season, then very good for them.

Xabi Alonso might not have an instant impact on the Chelsea team like he did with Bayer Leverkusen but I think he'll definitely improve the team and make them formidable enough to compete for the biggest competitions if he gets the backings he deserves. He's shown enough result to be doubted even when I know that he's never managed an English Premier League team in his career. Chelsea management only needs to fully support him to get the best out of the young Spanish manager.

Manchester city's performance towards the end of the season  was consistent. This is why the team stayed in the title race. Then when manchester city won against Arsenal, many of us thought that manchester city would win the title. The  team was in great shape at that time. But manchester city's players could  not maintain the consistency. Manchester city were eliminated from the title race after losing points against everton and Bournemouth. Anyway, Guardiola failed to win the title for two consecutive seasons. Now it remains to be seen whether city will regain their former glory with the new manager.
