Arsenal was winning Chelsea back to back last season at some extent I was wondering because even though Chelsea is not in a good form, Arsenal don't win them this manner but last season was different. I think Arsenal won Chelsea almost all the time they played against Chelsea but I want to believe next season won't be like that for Chelsea because there will definitely be a change. Chelsea was doing great initially but they later scattered I don't know if it was because of injury.

Do not be surprised, when the match is about the derby even though in unstable performance the team will still try to show their best, no exception with Chelsea, the exception may be the last season yesterday, because Chelsea performance was so bad that they had to lose when facing the derby with Arsenal despite their best efforts in that match. In the hands of Alonso there will be changes that I really hope for, but I remain realistic, because with Chelsea current situation it must take time.

What I want to see this season is the rivalry between Chelsea and Arsenal. For the past 3 to 5 years Arsenal has been the most dominating team in all of England. Chelsea can't remember the last time they defeated Arseal. Well this year lets us see if it will be different. With Xabi Alonso Chelsea may be a better team.

Even with Xabi Chelsea might not even improve, Chelsea just has an unstable form, they can be in a good form for a few months and after a while they start going backwards. I don't think they can be on the same level as arsenal this season. The only team that might give arsenal a tough time might be Manchester city.

What made you think that Chelsea will likely not improve under Xabi Alonso? Hope you know the past record of the young Spanish manager? Xabi Alonso I believe will significantly improve the Chelsea team IF the club management can allow him make decisions without interfering. Remember that Chelsea will not be playing many games next season as they failed to qualify for any European competition. That will definitely improve their chances of winning or finishing in the top four of the English Premier League. They might be inconsistent with their performance in recent season but under Alonso, I expect an improvement.

Chelsea playing many games or not doesn’t really give a guarantee, the truth is if the team fail to play better under Alonso management they’ll still not qualify for European games next season besides this is not something to be proud of. I know Chelsea will get all the chance they desire at least this season they might play better or not reason why every prediction is under probability alongside Alonso management becoming a success, we just can’t tell what next season will look like and not just Chelsea rather every club, each club with different problem and there’s always a hope attach but, doesn’t mean the assumption and prediction is 100% right.

You are right, we cannot really predict what happens next with City but whatever it is I hope they don't get worse or start performing poorly because that would be very disappointing. Their new coach is also good as well so I'm not really expecting them to lose for pep has built them to be the best club In the premier league, they have the best squad but it's quite unfortunate that they didn't really win the league title last season. I'm expecting them to perform well both In the premier league and also the champions league as well.

I think the team already has an established structure, and that's something difficult to build. The next coach can't change things overnight, and if he wants to, it would be like changing the team from scratch with the project he wants to implement. And that usually requires new players, which is a big expense for a club. That's just how things are.

Manchester City are actually not weak. And the premier league competition is very difficult to predict they need to put in more effort they have new coach and the new coach will make sure things go well for them by next season. I think we should stop any prediction right now lets wait and see hoe it goes.

We all belive the new coach is a experience one and that's many of the fans are already believing that by next season City will get rrophy.

Yeah you are very correct and right but Man City is really somehow not weak just that they have been through a lot from last season…now they called it weakness even through you can you…now i want you to see it as everyone or every team has their day of winning… well in the game of football’s we heave what called their lucky day…now o want you to see this Arsenal leveled up, Liverpool refreshed, Newcastle ,Villa, Spurs all spending. Even Forest and Brighton can beat you on their day. Winning 4 in a row made it look easy before, but the league caught up.

You know there's no way the incoming players will surpass the players in the team for now, so the pattern of play that has been with the will be quiet difficult to change, so it will take a bit time to adapt to Enzo Maresca's pattern of play, and that's where the problem might start from, but I just hope it doesn't consume them, because I'm really sensing danger with this Pep Guardiola's departure, like I have seen it on many teams, good example Liverpool, every since Jurgen Klopp left the team and we moved in to the just concluded season, Liverpool has not been the same, that is exactly what I'm sensing from Pep Guardiola's departure.

After klop left, Liverpool actually did not suffer some set back,  it only came up after sometimes when their new coach probably began to loose his tactical prowess but I am believing that Manchester City will be different,  their coach is actually very experienced we are looking to see what he has got for the team. I believe Manchester City will have a better ride since they got a solid foundation already.

Since Arsenal and Chelsea are two London clubs I understand why you want to see the rivalry because between Arsenal and Chelsea when the new Premier League season starts. Manchester City won the Premier League title three times for the past three to five seasons or years, so don't be deceived by Arsenal winning the Premier League title in the just concluded Premier League season make you believe they are the most dominating in all of England because they are not, Manchester City are the most dominating team in the all of England for the past three  to five seasons or years.

Chelsea management should sign good players if they want the team to return to good shape and start their performance again but if they just sign Xabi Alonso without giving him money to buy players then you won't see them competing against any big team in England.

For next season I think Arsenal still remains favorite team for defending the Premier League tittle than Chelsea indeed playing for domestic league matches only but can't guarantee for easily as the Premier League winner team. In my prediction Chelsea will finish still under Arsenal position who consistent finish around 2nd or 1st standings position.

Yes, they remain the favorite to win the Premier League. Arteta can mobilize his players to be more efficient compared to last season, they don't need to do much, maintain the defensive approach they've been using previously, and upgrade their offensive style. Other teams are already use to their set piece strategy, by next season we can't tell if it will work for them.

The only two teams I can say that there will be a good improvement is Manchester United and Arsenal because Michael Carrick has proven himself already and could maintain such tempo in the coming season. The league looks like to be between Arsenal and Manchester United at the end of the season.

As for Chelsea, I'm not fully convinced they'll suddenly become a much better team in just one season under a new manager. I think it's more realistic to expect them to improve enough to compete for a UCL spot, and honestly, that seems like a more reasonable target for them right now.

Yeah! Sometimes I hate that the discussions here are just cycled around Arsenal, Pep Guardiola and Manchester United maybe Liverpool and Xabi Alonso. It gets boring at times. You try to switch it but it still goes back to the same discussions.
Aston Villa are not giving that vibes yet, the management are not ready to get players it seems, they should back Unai Emery otherwise he drops drastically back to top 8 clubs next season.
Let's also not forget he will be playing against PSG in the Super Cup in the early weeks of August. Hopefully, they lift it. Tottenham Hotspur couldn't the last time with Thomas Frank.

The fact here is that any team can actually be a threat, we should be expecting that from any of the teams including the ones that weren't at the top last season. Aston villa did quite well at a particular time during last season but they couldn't remain consistent, for teams like that consistency will always be their problem.

Every team is having this idea in mind for a long time. Hunting talents in the World Cup is something big teams is always doing but the price will be higher than usual because the competition is intense.
Chelsea has to restructure its team. That's sure. Building a good defence line is a must and their price is usually more affordable than a striker.
The problem with Chelsea is that the owners like to bring young players rather than old and more experienced ones. Xabi Alonso might count also on fresh players for his team. I am waiting to see their transfer plan this summer.

Yes, the point is, none of us know for sure what Chelsea's performance will be like next season. Because basically, we don't know for sure what strategy Xabi will implement, and we also don't know which players Xabi will trust at Chelsea. So, basically, all of this is still a big question mark for all of us. But what is clear is that if everything goes smoothly, Chelsea's performance will most likely be even better next season. Because basically, Xabi is clearly a very great coach, and he certainly also has a good plan so that Chelsea can become an even greater team.

We don't doubt Alonso abilities since he has a good record when managing Leverkusen but we also know he failed to manage Real Madrid well, based on this history, we cannot be sure whether he will be able to provide the best results for Chelsea. On the other hand, we are also still monitoring his steps when targeting players who are targets in the next transfer window yeah, we know the defense is always an obstacle for Chelsea. Personally, I'm not too optimistic about Chelsea but it's worth to wait and I'm also curious about how Alonso competes with elite clubs, who is also ready to challenge next season.

Sometimes it is possible for a team to lose form when they have a new Coach not because the Coach isn't good or experienced enough but it takes a while for the team to adapt to the new strategy the new manager is bringing in. Maresca should do more of trying to sustain what pep has taught them instead of bringing in a new strategy.
