I disagree, Rashford has improved significantly in Barcelona. Flick is giving him enough playing time and he's proven he's a valuable player, but he's apparently not indispensable enough for Barcelona to be willing to spend €30 million on him now. My first question is who is Marcus Rashford going to bench in that first eleven, is he going to bench Cunha? In football, I've always believed that every player has their own unique talent they bring to the table which no other player can be known with or for or likened to, though the fact also is that some players unique talent is like a tiny ingredient that is had to notice or not noticeable at all..

If Rashford is willing to play under Carrick and Carrick also accepts him, I think he will bring out the best from Rashford because he's good at counter attacks and has the pace. Marcus Rashford is still a wonderful player and can be very useful in the current Manchester United settings if Michael Carrick considers the players as part of his plan, I know he does but the club may be weary of his high wages which the club finds very extravagant.

Rashford played a few good matches last season, but in my opinion his performance volatility is sometimes not acceptable. He plays a great match and I think if he can keep that momentum, he will be a first choice player. Then the next match takes place and you can't recognize him anymore. Pep Guardiola was obviously the one that recommended Enzo Maresca to replace him as Manchester City manager and for what he's achieved at the club in his 10 years spell, you don't expect the club management not to heed to his suggestion. Apart from Enzo Maresca, there are other young managers that's adopted Pep Guardiola's style of football so for him to demand for Maresca to be his successor simply means there's something about the Italians managerial qualities that he finds special.
Maresca has a record that suggests he'll do well but even if he doesn't win trophies in his first season, I believe that Manchester City management will exercise patience and support him to do better in the next season.

It's not true that Maresca didn't win anything as manager, he won the FIFA club world cup with Chelsea as head coach, that is a major trophy in football especially now that FIFA has modified the settings of the tournament into different groups, so saying Maresca didn't win anything as manager but as an assistant isn't right.
Now that he has being named head coach at Manchester City replacing Pep Guardiola, I believe he could achieve something great with this current squad at City.
