This week, Premier League will be back again with some great games, the only game I'm looking forward to is the one between Liverpool & Manchester City. I notice something unique with the bookies, both teams have the same odds of winning. So, which team would you choose in this situatio, Liverpool with the home advantage, or Manchester City, given their superior league performance so far?

Hahaha...I think some people have touched that red spot.  Grin

I didn't bother to read what they said, but if that's true, then they might be dreaming. Man U and Chelsea of today shouldn't even be mentioned in the discussion of true performers. If not for their old glory, they are too weak to be mentioned near Liverpool. Money couldn't save them, change of managers couldn't save them. Is that the club one should be comparing Liverpool that has a lot to show for in the past 10 years? They either finished the EPL first, second or third for about 6 years within that period.

Honestly, I thought that at least Man Utd would come back into the top 5 this season and shine, but same as always with them and Chelsea—a lot of old recipes pulled out from the old days and nothing new on the menu. Shame, but that's what happens when you invest badly for so many years. Arsenal and Liverpool suffered before, and look where they are now. You can't say Chelsea and Man Utd are top-tier clubs anymore; they can be happy if they manage to qualify for the Conference League.
I actually thought as much but I want to give them time since the season has not gone far, I was a little bit disappointed with what Manchester United are playing this season, because I wasn't their fans but I was strongly backing them to come out stronger this season, since they did so well at the end of this season to finish in third place, which make me have confidence that Manchester United will be among the top three this season to be chasing the title.

The season is still far and I expect a lot of changes from them, most especially after this international break because I see how most of their players perform excellently in their countries. Yes arsenal and Liverpool have suffered before but it doesn't mean Manchester United to undergo the same process.

This international break also seems to have resulted in several Premier League players sustaining injuries. Well, that’s nothing new, it’s actually quite common. Here is a list of players who were injured while representing their respective national teams.

- Kai Havertz (Arsenal)
- Christos Tzolis (Arsenal)
- Zion Suzuki (Aston Villa)
- Alexander Isak (Liverpool)
- Cody Gakpo (Liverpool)
- Patrick Dorgu (Manchester United)
- Noussair Mazraoui (Manchester United)

There are a few other names who have fitness issues that I’ve intentionally left off the list. I hope the number of injured players doesn’t increase any further, because I want all teams to be at their best when the Premier League resumes.
International duty was always bad for the club because their players potentially injured when played for their national team. However, it's not all of names from your list are suffering serious injuries. Some name such as Zion and Mazraou have suffered only minor injuries, and they will be available in their upcoming club fixtures.

Regardless of those injured players. I think the total players to be sidelined will increase because we still have matches remaining in the nation league.

So i guess we will be seeing more names to be added on the list, but hopefully, they new players who suffer injury will only get minor injury.
Well, I also hope that if more players end up on the injury list, then hopefully those are just minor injuries. And, well, some of the players on the list do indeed only have minor injuries. Even Bruno Fernandes, who was reportedly not fit, ended up playing in yesterday’s match. So, I hope that at least when they all return to the club, they’ll recover quickly and be able to keep playing for the club in top shape.

After all, the players are currently representing their respective national teams. And we know that players often get a little too enthusiastic when playing for their national teams. So it’s not surprising that sometimes they get a bit careless and end up getting injured.

Piece of shit, if Chelsea continues this way without improving their midfield and defensive line, they won't come closer to Liverpool in points before December.
It's clear that Liverpool has performed better than Chelsea from the beginning of the season. Anyone who drags it out is being sentimental about how they watch football. They should check the number of goals both teams have conceded to see whether it is encouraging
Chelsea and Liverpool are just like the two sides of a coin and there no need to compare both teams for now, Liverpool may have more points than Chelsea right now but if Chelsea can improve their defense and midfield, they could become a better team than Liverpool by the end of the season. Chelsea has scored 10 goals and conceded 12 goals in 5 premier league games, while Liverpool scored 7 goals and conceded 4 goals in 5 premier league games. So in terms of scoring goals, Chelsea is better than Liverpool, and Liverpool is better than Chelsea in terms of conceding goals.
You have made a good distinction, but I think the distinction should be looked at a little differently. It would not be right to make a distinction between the two teams by just scoring goals or conceding goals. Basically, we need to focus more on the consistency of the teams' seasons. Liverpool have scored 7 goals and conceded 4 in 5 matches. Which is a relatively good number. But Liverpool have not yet found their consistent performance. They are playing very well in some matches and performing poorly in others. If they continue like this, they will never be confident. Although Liverpool's defense is relatively strong, their attack is not very strong. You cannot become a champion just by keeping the difference right. So instead of emphasizing too much on Liverpool's defense and midfield, they also need to strengthen their attack a little more. Then they will be able to play any match with confidence, no matter what the result is.

-12 points for a £10 million crime, so what punishment is suitable for a £900 million crime. The poster has a valid point bringing this up for the FA to see just incase they've forgotten about it. That season we saw a drag down of Everton from the points they had gathered, 12 was taken out and this pulled them down, they started fighting back up. If this principle is applied to Manchester City considering the amount the poster is refering to is applied, Manchester City will be out of the league for a long time but we know it's not possible. For me, I think Manchester City should receive a severe punishment.

Man city will either win the match or they end it draw, i doubt if Liverpool can win Man city. Man city been at away makes bookies to give them almost the same odd with Liverpool, if Man city where to be at home their odd would have been lower. It will be a tough match anyway Liverpool has refused to lose any match but had play 3 draw in 5 matches while Man city is yet to draw or lose so i believe they might likely continue their winning streak against Liverpool.

Well for me I think if I have to pick one of them I would still go for Liverpool, I think same for Anfield which should be the real factor, Liverpool at home press hard at some points, did the crowd affects city, more than most teams, and in these big games the atmosphere often decides it…..

I thought that city had a better league form so far but as it showing in their past records Anfield is historically weak, even with the facts that City might be dominant, they rarely win games….

Liverpool's advantage is that they have not lost any of their last 5 matches, although there have been few draws. But City is much ahead compared to that situation. They are at the top of the point table and have won their last matches in a dominating manner. When considering Manchester City's goal scoring, they are much ahead of Liverpool. So I have some doubts about how the odds of City and Liverpool are kept the same. For some issues like this, complete reliance on odds should be reduced. Where it is clearly understood that Manchester City is far ahead, keeping equal odds seems illogical. Many may be thinking in favor of Liverpool. But considering Manchester City's current form, it is not expected that Liverpool will win. Since Liverpool have not lost their last matches, it will be a bit difficult for Manchester City to beat them. But even if the goal difference is low, Manchester City will win. If the odds are equal, then betting in favor of City will get an extra advantage.

Yes, I know that Chiesa and Ekitike are seriously injured and will definitely not play in this match. Isak and Gakpo could also miss this game. ⚽

However, oddly enough, I plan to bet on a Liverpool victory. I'm sure Andoni Iraola knows his team's weaknesses. Therefore, I think he will take appropriate measures.

At the same time, Manchester City players can easily underestimate their opponents and, consequently, overestimate their own strength (this often happens). All the media are currently reporting on serious injuries to Liverpool's several important players. As a result, Manchester City players, due to their overconfidence, could make a few mistakes in the game, which could prove fatal. Liverpool players enjoy strong support from the fans, and this, in my opinion, is a very important factor. For some reason, I think Liverpool will win! 🙋

Manchester City, of course. The way the Citizens have been playing is impressive. They have won every Premier League match this season, and it seems that even Guardiola’s departure hasn’t affected them too much. Liverpool are a very dangerous team at Anfield, but I think the best they can hope for is a draw. City will be going for the win, and I hope that even the 115 charges won’t affect their morale and prevent them from getting the victory in the upcoming match.

Personally, I don't know the option I would choose that I will be in a safer side in this game. I wanted to go for over but I realized that whenever two big teams are playing they usually end up in goalless draw or even though they will score it's always 1-2 goals but sometimes it will be more than that but from my speculation I don't think there will be goals in this match, I have decided to skip this game since I don't know the option to play as a matter of fact, there are other premier league games that seems easier to predict than this particular game so I will just proceed in selecting other games. But I can't miss watching this match for any reason.

Both teams has the chance to win the game. Liverpool have the home advantage, while Manchester City have won each of their games this season. Perhaps they can continue with the same energy to beat Liverpool away from home. If Liverpool end up winning the game, I won’t be surprised, since they are yet to lose a single game under the new manager. Let’s see if Liverpool can hold Manchester City this season, since Manchester United failed to beat them even with minus one player.

I thought that city had a better league form so far but as it showing in their past records Anfield is historically weak, even with the facts that City might be dominant, they rarely win games….

Liverpool can lose their game whether they play at home or away. They are not at their best level since last season, but I think we are seeing something different this season. Last season, they had a wonderful start, as the season goes, they became weak and struggled to win their games. I hope they maintain their top performance for the rest of the season.

Liverpool are a very dangerous team at Anfield, but I think the best they can hope for is a draw. City will be going for the win, and I hope that even the 115 charges won’t affect their morale and prevent them from getting the victory in the upcoming match.

Before this 114 case guilty I would have gone for a narrow win for Manchester City not because they are away at Anfield because Anfield since the departure of Jurgen Klopp is no longer a fortress and any team can come and beat them there, the only difference this season is that Iraola is actually trying to play safe and not lose any match and it’s actually on this that I am settling for a draw plus the saga at Manchester City which I definitely think will be the major talking point in most of their matches this season.

Enzo Maresca will most certainly wants to win more matches and collect as much points as he can before Verdict of their breach is confirmed or their punishment is issued because every point might do count for them to stay alive in the league

It's quite complicated, Manchester City this season has shown no sign of weakness, and with the look of things I think they will play more seriousness to gather enough points should Incase their penalty falls on point deduction for the financial rules they broke, so I think they will be all out come this weekend, and Liverpool on the other hand is also shown no sign of weakness also, yes they've drew more games than expected, but I wouldn't see that as weakness, after all Arsenal once won the league unbeaten by drawing most of the matches that season, so Liverpool also look all good to go, so betting on both teams to score will be much safer.

While I've been enjoying some of the fixtures during the international break, I've so much missed the English Premier League, I can't wait for weekend to see the actions in the league. I'm hopeful that Chelsea will be able to return back to winning ways because though I'm not a fan of the club, I honestly want Xabi Alonso to succeed. For Manchester City, I want to see if they'll their impressive start.

A draw would be the best result Liverpool can get out of this else, it’s going to be a win for Manchester City. The only advantage Liverpool has got here is from the home fans else, they’ve lost so many good players that could have made a difference to injury while, Manchester City is on the rise and would be looking to make stronger their claim at the top of the league table.

These kind of matches are the type the result will likely be difficult to predict until the final whistle is blown, that is why it has the same odd of winning for both football clubs. But if we are just judging based on form and recent performance then I think City will win. However, recent performance is and form is not what I can use to judge this kind of match.

I think recent head to head in the epl between these two club may give us a clue of the expected outcome of the game. In their last four respective meeting in the epl, Liverpool has won two and City has also done the same. Going by this and considering that City has been on smooth run, this could be the first match they'll drop some points, I believe we will likely see a draw.

I think Liverpool will still have the edge in this match. First of all it’s a home game, and secondly don’t forget that City are currently dealing with the proceedings over the financial breaches. I think all the players understand that this time the accusations have become much more serious, because there were so many violations, and the independent commission found them guilty on virtually all of the charges. So I think this could also have an impact on the City players.

Of course, that is a possibility. However, the players will also want to prove their quality and secure a win in a match like this. The game at Liverpool will be a tough away fixture, and Manchester City will be eager to win this difficult derby given their current challenging situation. Liverpool, for their part, could defeat a psychologically drained Manchester City on their home.

My predictions in that match is a draw which is even more likely to be a goal less draw, both teams in recent have a very strong defence and hardly concede goals.

Both Mac city and Liverpool have of recent grown the habit of defending more than attack, or possibly might be because of their result that made me think so.

In both their recent matches that I have watched this season, I don't both see their attacks to be dangerous as it use to be and that was what made me believe more in goal less draw than any other options.
