Need Exchange Info

Total Noob here.

From what I can glean off of the limited info on buying/trading info out there, and maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, but it seems I will need about 20 different exchanges with 20 different passwords and 20 different wallets with 20 different passwords to buy/trade the coins I want. Is this accurate?

Why so many hoops to jump through? Why not one, or a couple of exchanges that have every coin out there? Is it for security? Or because it's DeFi?
Some of the exchanges don't even tell you what coins they carry until you go through a 10 step verification process, only to find out they don't deal the coin you want, or do not allow U.S. citizens to trade.
I want to understand and become more involved in the Alt coin market, but man it's frustrating. I'm using coinbase and it's horrible for Alts.
Any help out there for the noob would be very much appreciated.

Why didn't you try to use binance.US? that will also give you a lot of choices for altcoins.

Are you coming from US buddy? I rarely saw the exchange site that was doing a very strict process to let its user see what kind of coins they have already carry it. You can also use crypto.com exchange site too and it's available for US citizen. Crypto.com is giving various kind of altcoins to be chosen you.

In my experience, there are a lot of exchanges that you can check their exchange overview even without signing up. Just head to exchange or trade and check for the trading pairs they have. But you need to check first the reputation of the exchange if in case you will sign up for them. Because not many projects can afford to be listed in many exchanges, the reason why some of them can be seen in few exchanges.

Are you coming from US buddy? I rarely saw the exchange site that was doing a very strict process to let its user see what kind of coins they have already carry it. You can also use crypto.com exchange site too and it's available for US citizen. Crypto.com is giving various kind of altcoins to be chosen you.

Coinbase is not really fit for traders that mostly trade on altcoins.

Don't be too technical. Do you already have the 1)list of your preferred coins or 2)will just pick depends on the exchange?

If 1, sort them out by checking the exchange they were supported. If 2, check the market of those big trading platform then began studying what will be your pick/s.

This problem faced so many investors and traders. 20 exchange, Mail, password and two step verification etc. You don't know the best exchange, which means you don't know legitimate coins. Binance exchange coins are secure to make your first investment. I'm assuming that too many exchange problems could be solved if the Swapzilla project is successful. Only this project tries to solve this problem.

I should say to you that you don't need as much exchanges to buy a coin. Some exchanges have loads of crypto to buy from especially the big and well known exchanges like kucoin, binance,

Thanks to all. I'm sure i will have a lot more questions. Hope that i can come here for answers.

Right now i have Ethereum, Chainlink, XRP, Tezos and BAT. I traded Ethereum for TrustSwap on UniSwap, Used my Coinbase mobile wallet. Then i went to transfer the Trustswap into my Ledger Wallet under Ethereum, and it never arrived...bummer. Funny, because Chainlink is in my Ledger under Ethereum. Oh well. I'm out 25 bucks on a trial run. It's all so confusing, but beginning to see the light.

Well, where do you live, mate? Have you realized that there may be any local exchanges in your country? Because sometimes, it is much better for you to use a local exchange that has a good reputation and trusted enough, moreover supported and legal by the government.

You can find out the lists of exchanges with clear details and information. In addition, you may also buy and sell via that Bestchange including provided the information about the listed coins there.

Different competition is expected in an industry with huge opportunities but crypto challenges is easy to understand if you do some in depth research.

You can the list of crypto exchange site on here but since youre from the US and want to get involve in altcoin market Binance.us is the best option.
Understand that it not possible for a single exchange site to have all crypto in the market.

You have so many choices actually, have you try to check the coinmarketcap, in this platform you can see all the top exchange platform in the market. However, you can also use one exchange to trade all the coins you like to trade in, I think Binance is one of the best choices for this mate because almost all coin listed to this platform are potentials and can give a good profit if you are responsible as an individual traders.

You can try Binance.com they have a huge selection of altcoins, or you can also try Uniswap.info if you don't want to bother registering to create passwords, do KYC or something. Uniswap is the largest decentralized exchange today, a large selection of coins and you only need to connect a wallet, you don't need to register. But uniswap is only for ERC20 tokens.

Not accurate at all there are exchange that listed all of the currency you want to buy mostly those popular crypto currency you can buy it using only 1 exchange .only few and unpopular doesn't list there that's the only reason  why you need to use other exchange when the coins you want to trade is only available in other exchange.

The best way to find which exchange deals with your coin is to go look for reference sites like coinmarketcap and coingecko. But while dealing with exchanges, you should first confirm whether they are trustworthy or not. Even some popular exchanges have a bad reputation. If it bother you to deal with many coins, just choose a small number. If you are to actively trade between coins and exchanges, try doing that using API. Many platforms provide automatic as well as predefined trades easily on multiple exchanges with multiple coins using API.

If you are looking at limited famous projects then go for Binance or kucoin , but most of the unknown projects are in decentralised exchanges . If you wanna nab them early then you must look there .
