In my opinion: Trezor[1] or Ledger[2] for higher valued holdings(probably more than $500), Coinomi[3] for lower-valued holdings(probably less than $200).

I think Exodus wallet for Mac might be good choice since you said you're looking for a Multi-coin wallet. Exodus supports over 100 assets and since I have experience in using it, it is very easy to manage. It is secure if your desktop is malware free and you can even take back up of your private keys and keep them offline, just in-case you lose access to your desktop, so that you don't lose your coins. The only reason why I stopped using Exodus was that there was no way to adjust the fee whilst making a transaction and it seemed a bit high to me sometimes. Especially, while I was making a smaller transaction.

Tips are welcome! => 1bVp177vXRdbBUb9HXgP3odcdXBXdYr4z   <= BTC

I use Ownr wallet. It's relatively small and supports 10+ coins. Maybe it will be suitable for you.

Though they have SegWit so I'd give them that, it's not open source and at the same time I don't think this wallet is reputable enough as it's the first time that I've heard of it. It's a no for me.

And no, it's not open-source product, but testnets for the main coins are available for developers.
Have to warn you that the OWNR wallet app is available on Australian app stores currently, we're launching globally right today, so stay tuned!

More multicurrency wallets here that you can use on MacOS

1. Guarda Wallet - https://guarda.com - Partially Open source (part of the code is available for the public to view)
2. Atomic Wallet - https://atomicwallet.io - Not Open source
3. Jaxx Liberty - https://jaxx.io - Partially Open source (part of the code is available for the public to view)

Disclaimer: Although I have used the wallets in the past, by suggesting them here,  it does not mean I am endorsing any of them

Multi-coin wallet? I'm okay with the Coinomi wallet, you can also directly swap your Bitcoin to altcoins if you aren't quite bothering on the fees. It has widely supported with altcoins and it is free installation. @mk4 mentioned above was right, upon wallet selection, it varies of how much the value you are planning to store. For the big amounts, use hardware wallets, not just a free installation, $200 below its quite a big amount for me, for sure that will directly send to my hardware wallet if I have that amount.

Here is the complete list of open-source wallet for mac and it's descriptions, do your own research upon researching because I don't want to recommend you anything.

I'm looking for a reputable multi-coin wallet for Mac. Any suggestions?
Mac or NoMac the choice of wallet will only differ when you are going for the desktop wallet which is what I deduce you are trying to ask.

In that sense you have exuded all the more secure methods of storing by using a hardware wallet. If I could change your mind, I would suggest you buying a hardware wallet. They allow many coins to be stored and are more secure.

Other than that you can use the suggestions offered by other members above this post. Maybe you could tell us more about your preferences so people can give better suited suggestions too. Wink

All of the above options are bad and as long as there is no secure, open-source wallet, there is no need to use the Mac system to save your coins, you can choose between Linux or Android or buy a hardware wallet.

If you have no other option, then use a good web-wallet, but for small or coinomi Medium transactions.

I tend to agree with you on this, I didn't see this insight in the usage of Mac OS. Linux OS is an open-source system and I think this is good for the open-source wallet because the owner had full control of it. I found some reason people switched to Linux OS from Mac.

If you have no other option, then use a good web-wallet, but for small or coinomi Medium transactions.
There's no good in web wallet, they are always didn't have security feature, I dont trust someone with my keys. Coinomi isn't an open source but at least you are holding your private key. It's good for me too.

I can't trust Jaxx after it was compromised in 2017. Plus it has some cons like seed extraction vulnerability.

Neither is Coinomi, which you suggested that he should use. And we also had that issue where that one user lost his funds with the desktop version of Coinomi. Coinomi made him look like the bad guy for not reporting the vulnerability to them first.
But I see your point. If I had to make a choice between Coinomi and Ownr, I would pick Coinomi as well. I never had issues with their Android app.

OP should consider purchasing a Ledger or Trezor hardware wallet. They can both hold 100s of coins and are better options than desktop solutions.

I'm looking for a reputable multi-coin wallet for Mac. Any suggestions?
I am also a Mac user, for bitcoin wallet, I use bitcoin core and electrum, while for multi-coin wallets I choose to use the Ledger Nano X hardware wallet (never tried Trezor). While all wallets are imperfect, at least that is what I currently use based on their security reputation.

Ledger Nano X is good choice, but it's hardware wallet and still need software wallet (such as Ledger Live) so user can interact with the hardware wallet.
Yes, I mean so. Ledger Live is the default software from Ledger to interact with Nano X. My mistake is not mentioning the default wallet software, because Nano X can also be used in several other wallet software.

The Coinomi wallet for mac is quite simple and easy to understand, but I have no experience using Coinomi.
By the way, I can still install Coinomi on OS X El Capitan.

On the Coinomi website (https://www.coinomi.com/en/downloads/), the Coinomi Wallet for macOS requires macOS Sierra 10.10 and above. (https://talkimg.com/images/2023/05/17/blob4aa67edf53c1a135.png). Even though, as far as I know, macOS Sierra is version 10.12, not 10.10.

There's no good in web wallet, they are always didn't have security feature, I dont trust someone with my keys. Coinomi isn't an open source but at least you are holding your private key. It's good for me too.

There is Magnum wallet. I doubt Trezor would've suggested it if they were not legit: https://trezor.io/coins/

I'm obviously not suggesting anyone to use the wallet for storing large amounts because just like Coinomi (or any other closed source wallet) there is no way to know whether your private keys are being sent somewhere or not.
